I called CPC yesterday to ask about services as we wanted to have our kitty cremated. The call taker was so patient with me and caring as I couldn't hold back my tears. She allowed me to ask all the question I had and not once sounded annoyed by them. They are a walk-in location, as they are now a sister company to West Coast Pet Memorial, who handles more services that CPC used to offer. I walked in today and Kehaulani was the friendliest and most compassionate employee I've ever dealt with at CPC in 30 years. She was thoughtful with answering my questions, she pointed out urn options, explained the process, and made sure all questions i had were answered. It's never easy losing a pet no matter the age and it is more comforting when you go to a service like this and the employee is compassionate and genuinely caring.

I can deal with a rude staff, and I can deal with it being expensive as long as they care that my animal receives is excellent. But ever since Covid or maybe even slightly before they're starting to do nickel and diamond which again I don't care about if the care is excellent. The care is not excellent. First, I had a cat diagnosed with hypothyroidism, which has medication that I got, but the only way to get this medication is through their online pharmacy that is in New Jersey, so it had to be shipped across the country. There is a compound pharmacy right up the road in Las Vegas that can be used. Second, I didn't get enough dosage that that thought was OK but didn't do any research for to show that it only lasted a week. I paid more in shipping to get it for my cat than I did for the actual dosage. The second thing is I have another cat that is not eating due to teeth issues and when I made the appointment on their online portal at 1 AM to see a doctor at 9:30 the same day I got a call that the appointment was no longer available because there was an ultrasound before it so they were just gonna block it off. The cat I was bringing in is a highly aggressive anxiety written cat that I have to heavily dose with drugs to get her in. They didn't care. I am never going back.

The guy that came and removed her was equally as compassionate, caring, and comforting as Steffane. He then calls me back and tells me that someone dropped him off and left him on my front porch. He lied and made me believe he had my baby and then says that he was dropped off on my front porch. So much for the @we'll call you and set up a dime to bring your baby back", and then to lie on top of that! Nowadays with hearing every day about packages being stolen from front porches I wonder what they would have said of that had happened, I mean you just left him on my front porch like he didn't mean a thing to me. No apology, no nothing. It was obviously a very slow late afternoon There's a mix of very good and very bad reviews for Durango Animal Hospital, which tells me this place is not consistent and they have 50/50 capable vets. Don't play Russian roulette with your wallet or with your beloved pet's health unless you want to help the vet buy a new Mercedes Benz I was so upset 1) they were unable to correctly treat my cat's stuffy nose the first time.
