My husband and I have a very anxious, neurotic (and handsome) doggo. He's highly dog reactive and…read moreenergetic and has a troubled past. We've tried several trainers and boarding facilities in various cities and states. We even resorted to trying a famous YouTube trainer and he came back worse and even more anxious. Typically, these expensive "board and trains" we've participated in have ended with medication recommendations and a "good luck". One final trainer recommended we try Mind Of Dog because she also wasn't able to break through. I'm so grateful we did. He's thriving and comes home exhausted. An added bonus is the people training we've received. The best part of all of it, is that he's finally getting the exercise and structure he's always needed and deserves. They handle the dogs calmly, but with lots of structure and clear boundaries, which our dog desperately needs. We can finally go to work and travel without worrying that he's being mishandled or ignored. We're so grateful to have found this place and I have to admit, I was waiting for him to fail again, because we had lost all hope. Our dog was a mixed breed Sato rescue from the SPCA, which was a wonderful experience. My dog before that was a mixed breed rescue as well. Our application was never denied. In fact, we were approved for an aged 6 month + adoption and I have the evidence from attending an adoption fair. It was after that fair, that achieving any follow up was very difficult, though I eventually did receive an email after many attempts. I gather the respondent confused me with a different applicant. I know there is a lot of good work done there and the dogs look great, it was just difficult to communicate so we moved on.

We have used Camp Becca for over two years and have consistently trusted them with our dog, Miley…read more Unfortunately, our most recent experience was extremely disappointing, particularly due to the lack of professionalism and respect from the owner, Becca, who cared for Miley in our home while we were traveling out of the country. The most concerning issue was learning that another dog had been brought into our home without our knowledge or permission. We only became aware of this after returning home and seeing a video on Becca's Instagram showing a dog we had never met or been told about in our home. We had specifically explained that Miley can be anxious and reactive around unfamiliar dogs and people, making this especially concerning. We also came home to find multiple urine spots throughout the house that had stained our hardwood floors and appeared to have been there for some time. While we understand accidents happen, these were in visible areas and should have been cleaned up or brought to our attention. We are now dealing with significant difficulty removing the stains. Additionally, two days before our trip, Becca informed us that she would no longer be able to come to our home on the day we were leaving, as originally agreed. Instead, another Camp Becca team member stayed with Miley until Becca arrived several days later. While this was a last-minute and unexpected change, we want to be fair in noting that Miley was well taken care of by this team member. When we raised these concerns with Becca her response was very casual and did not reflect the level of professionalism or accountability we would expect from the owner of a business entrusted with our dog and our home. After more than two years of placing our trust in Camp Becca, this experience unfortunately left us feeling that our trust was not respected.
