As good as it gets for a small town diner. Normally only eating there for breakfast, I would recommend the omelets, biscuits and gravy, or pancakes. Food and service are consistently good which is hard for any restaurant to achieve, let alone one that does a fairly brisk business. The only negative reviews on this site are from someone who judges every restaurant based on how they react to her "service dog" and someone who got an incorrect carry out order after trying the place ONCE. (Who orders carry out from a diner anyway?). In other words, your typical yelp whiners. Be advised, that as other diners have stated, they do not take credit cards. It ain't fancy, but if you're looking for down home southern cooking it can't be beat. The Nelson family and staff work hard to be consistent in food quality and service. We eat there once a week, along with many other regulars, and always leave satisfied and like we've visited old friends. The home toast is wonderful. After MUCH hype, we decided to order take out from the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Greenbrier AR. I called in the order for a shrimp platter, specified no fish etc.. as well as chicken fingers, fries platter. I had the young girl repeat the order back to me. So...we picked up our meals and brought them home and sat down to eat. I opened my meal of chicken fingers only to find 2 yes TWO chicken fingers and a handful of fries not to mention they forgot the dipping sauce! My fathers meal as stated above (requested the shrimp only platter) received fish, shrimp, hushpuppies, roll and no sauce. Needless to say...fish wasn't eaten and thrown away, I ended up making myself dinner, which defeats the purpose of eating out. This is the first restaurant in Arkansas that has disappointed me. One new potential customer and one long time customer lost. Do NOT eat here!!!!! read more

I don't recommend this place for those who have a service dog like my friend and I do. We went in and sat down and the owner came up to our table asking for our service dogs certification which was against the law for them to go and do. According to the American Disability Act they are only allowed to ask us two questions, "(1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform. Staff cannot ask about the person's disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task.". The food was great and the waitress was very nice. When we left the owner asked us for our names and we told him and checked out. I don't recommend anyone with a service dog going to this place. read more

Mashed potatoes and white gravy was scrumptious along with Pinto beans like my Louisiana Mom used to make. Then coconut pie to wrap it up. Deceptive from the outside, it looks as if it might me a Greek family style eatery; one you would walk into with booths, some tables and a few outdated ferns. Inside a ragtag assortment of worn Formica tables, mismatched dinner ware and small portions of lackluster food. Yes biscuits and chocolate gravy are big down here. It's not the cup of tea for Northerners. You aren't going to get FLUFFY ham and cheese omelets, Greek toast. It's just a depressing place. Sorry, but unless you're a local and are used to Arkansas style restaurants, steer clear. read more
