SAYv Animal Organization - CoCo Chanel

    SAYv Animal Organization

    (21 reviews)

If I had three words to describe the experience we had it would be: waste of time. We were…read moreinterested in adopting a cat and had to jump through all these ridiculous hoops just to even earn a 'virtual interview'. Way too many requirements to adopt and they are extremely picky with who they deem worthy to receive animals even though we are already pet owners with well-cared for, loved, and happy animals. The person I was speaking with was unpleasant on top of taking forever to move on with the process. Then ghosted us before denying our application with 0 reason given. Extremely rude and unprofessional, to say the least. Would never recommend these people for adoption.

I cannot say enough about the incredible work being done by Sayv Animal Organization and their…read morededicated team. This group of compassionate, tireless individuals is led by Jackie, who is nothing short of a miracle worker in the world of animal rescue. From the moment I first interacted with them, it was clear that this organization is driven by a genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing the best possible care and support. Jackie, in particular, is the heart and soul of Sayv Animal. Her leadership, empathy, and hands-on approach ensure that every animal is treated with the utmost respect and kindness. She goes above and beyond in her efforts to save lives and place animals in loving homes, and it's clear that her work is a true labor of love. It is absolutely pathetic and a cowardly act for someone to create a fake Yelp review to try to tarnish the reputation of such an amazing organization. It's disappointing that anyone would stoop so low as to spread falsehoods about a team that works so hard to do good in the world. But let me assure you, anyone who knows Sayv Animal and the work they do can see right through such a transparent attempt to undermine them. The real truth is that Sayv Animal Organization is a beacon of hope for so many animals in need. The team's unwavering dedication has made a profound impact on countless lives--both animal and human alike. To anyone reading this, don't let a few misguided and malicious words sway you. Sayv Animal is a fantastic organization, and I am proud to support them. I have fostered for them and have adopted our cat through them and zero issues!

    Adopt Pet Shelter

I can't believe I hadn't reviewed Adopt previously. My dear sweet Calliecakes is from this shelter,…read moreso I am forever grateful that they rescued her. My parents saw her at the shelter back in 2012 and texted me her photo (because they knew I wanted a cat), and I was like "yes absolutely I want her I will come get her." And the rest is history -- it's been 11 great years with my bestie (and hopefully many more). And then a year later, almost to the day, my parents were like "hey let's go to Adopt" the day after Thanksgiving and they ended up getting a cat (their second) for themselves. I haven't been back to the shelter since 2013 when I went with them when they decided to get their cat, but at that time the shelter was super nice and they had several rooms where cats could roam free. It was a nice, no-stress situation to be able to sit on a sofa or on the floor and have the cats come check you out. So many snuggles. And I follow them on Instagram and they continue to do great work and care deeply for the animals they rescue. Definitely check them out if you are looking for a new best friend! And now enjoy the cat photo spam/cat tax :)

Their application literally has a line in bold at the bottom about how you need to speak to them…read morerespectfully as a reflection of how you would treat the animal. Seemed odd that you need to state that but ok. The very first response I got from them after the application was submitted...they were rude to me! I now see why they have the line in there. They create the reaction they receive! I literally burst out laughing. I applied for a dog with 1 single photo and also inquired about a dog with zero photos. They told me that if they had a photo of the dog with no photos it would be on the website. So you're trying to adopt out a dog with no picture? They told me I am only allowed to meet the dog I am approved for and I'm only allowed to apply for 1 dog and I am not allowed to "abuse" the time of the animal hospital employees where the animals are housed. I guess if you are trying to be thorough about making sure an animal is going to a good home and in return you are trying to be careful about the animal that you are adopting..it would not be considered an "abuse" of time. Also, this was 1 email in...not many emails or requesting many visits. Email #1 I was told that I cannot abuse the time of the animal shelter employees. There were A LOT of hoops they expect the adopters to go through (paperwork, proof of vaccines on existing pets, etc) but very little information given on their end, paired with really foul responses (again, that language at the bottom of the application was the giveaway) and we left it that someone would call to give me some information on the background on the dog. Nobody called. The application language, lack of photos and higher than normal adoption fee was the giveaway from the start. AVOID.
