I decided to hire a pet sitter, and I did some research before finding Monica and Purrfect Pet Sitting. I've never hired a pet sitter before, and it was a stretch for me to hand a stranger my keys and trust them with my fur babies, but I had no choice. After having Monica take care of them for just a few days, I knew I had made a good decision. Monica has cared for Wendigo and Banzuke as though she were family. She sent me texts every day with pictures to update me on their status. I was overjoyed when she told me that Wendigo actually "took" to her... Wendigo never even let my own family come near her, but Monica is a cat whisperer, because even in this stressful situation she let Monica pet her and she didn't hide from her. Monica also changed their litter when it needed it, and she followed my meticulous instructions for the diet and feeding for each of the cats. What amazed me most about her is that she has been so flexible and accommodating. I had to extend my trip and Monica has worked with me through all the changes. She even brought extra cooked chicken for Wendigo when mine ran out. As a new resident and a first time street-parker, I didn't realize you had to move your car so much in Saint Paul. Monica alerted me to signs that had been posted by parking enforcement, and bent over backwards to help me make sure my car was ok. When I returned home, I found that Monica didn't just take excellent care of my babies, she took care of my home. She washed dishes she used. She kept things in order. There wasn't any trash to be found. My kitties were happy and healthy! I feel so blessed and lucky to have found someone so professional and caring for my little cat family. It has been such a relief to have one - rather two! - less things to worry about. I feel so grateful to have had Monica there ensuring all is well at home. She checks to make sure each dog is up to date on vaccinations and getting to know their medical needs, so you can feel safe leaving your pet with her. My dog is a real handful! Very anxious, not great around other dogs, she's a senior, and the last time I brought her to Jen she had a list of new medical problems. Jen took everything in stride, including making sure she was eating her new prescription food, and sending me lots of picture updates. I have a high-energy, extroverted puppy that needs a midday power walk while my other dog is a shy senior who prefers short strolls. Somehow, Emma's figured out how to cater to both of their needs...simultaneously. My dogs adore Emma and look forward to seeing her every Tuesday and Thursday. Emma's also been a positive influence on my dogs -- they no longer bark/carry on when she arrives and are better walkers all around. The staff has always been informative, helpful, kind and loving towards Jett! I love seeing the excitement when I walk in with him since Jett has apparently left his mark on the staff This location is easy to find, lots of parking and very close to Minneapolis as well. I had Jett do a few daycare days before boarding just to make sure he was okay at a new daycare/facility. I've only boarded him twice so far - but he plays in Tiny Town or hangs out with staff up front! I do like how you can bring items for boarding, other places we have brought Jett won't let us bring anything but food - Jett has a security ducky that he sleeps with every night since he was a baby - so I was happy to know I can bring that for him and a blanket One thing to note - there are no cameras to watch the dogs, I love this feature at other places, but I often think I spend too much time worrying about finding him on camera than enjoying my time away - while this would be a great feature - I trust the staff and Jett hasn't ever shown odd behavior after being here, so I do believe he is being well taken care of and treated well Thank you for always taking great care of my tiny but very loud pup!

Our dog had some bright red blood in her urine. The staff had the awareness and presence of mind to take a photo and forward it to me, which I then was able to send to my vet. I always get detailed feedback. The staff clearly loves dogs. My dog is a people person and interacts rarely with the other dogs. Which makes the caring staff especially important to us. Although she is anxious, even when medicated, this is the safest place for her. They are aware of her disposition and adapt to give her the best experience possible. The staff consists of highly competent and caring dog people. They are not only skilled at dealing with anxious dogs, but also gifted in dealing with anxious dog owners. Highly recommend.

But now, Dog Days is Betty's favorite place. It's better than any dog park or walk. I never feel bad leaving her over a weekend for boarding at Dog Days because I know there is no place she'd rather be. She cries when we drive to dog days then sprints in the door! The workers have gotten to know and love Betty. It's great knowing she's in good hands. Betty went in for a trial day before she could go to daycare, they assessed how she played with others and found a good play group for her. They have since moved her to different play groups to fit her needs. I love that owners treat the staff well and pay them a living wage. One last great thing: they post pictures of the dogs playing on Facebook!
