After consulting Yelp recommendations on local in-home veterinary care, I instantly connected with the energy of Heart's Ease. Both Dr. Bennett and her office manager Cori are kind, compassionate, patient and detail-oriented. From the first email, I felt like I mattered, and that it was their mission to ensure my girl got the best, most appropriate care possible. Even in those moments when I was scared, resistant or in deep denial, they were there to listen, guide and support me. I feel extremely lucky and grateful that Missy's last days were spent in the care of these loving beings. They made her transition as peaceful and painless as possible, and I honestly feel like it was divine intervention that I had the intuition to bring our family here so that Missy could have this end-of-life experience, as I'm not sure if we would have had the luxury of this level of care back home. The vet techs/assistants are just as caring and compassionate as the docs. The office is small, with no actual waiting area, so you phone them from your car and wait to be called inside. The exam rooms (entire building) are older and in dire need of updating (dated wallpaper, flooring, dusty and cluttered shelving), but newer equipment is present. I feel the place could use a deep cleaning and some cosmetic changes. However, what the office lacks in appearance, it more than makes up for with compassionate, knowledgeable veterinarians and staff. I will take that trade off any day! The office is located on Main Street in the heart of 'Historic Middletown.' There are 6-7 parking spaces in the front of the building, but street parking is also available up and down the street.

She is available for hospice and medical care for pets, too. I love that when we travel I receive text message updates letting me know my kitties are doing well. If there was an emergency with the cats I know she could handle it. Reality is, leaving your pets in the care of someone else during travel can be anxiety-provoking. With Lucy on the case that anxiety goes away. I had one cat who was getting close to the end of his life and Lucy's visits allowed me to feel comfortable about leaving so I didn't miss Christmas with my parents.

Emergency out of state for 4 days and two weeks of snow/ice doesn't equate to two months past my scheduled pick up date. I'm mortified that I did not lay my Holly to rest appropriately. That is something I can not do over, but I can warn others to avoid this. Do better Affordable Pet Cremation, or simply don't put others through this horrendous experience.

First, I called a different service that said they'd call me back. They never did. I called and spoke to Deb at Affordable and the first thing she said was how sorry she was for my loss and arranged an appointment that very day to bring my kitty in. The gentleman who checked us in was just as kind and caring. He showed me how Lizzie would be returned to me and again expressed condolences. I picked Lizzie's ashes up this afternoon and was again met with kindness and compassion. I cannot recommend these wonderful people more highly

We actually showed up half an hour early for our appointment and we were able to be seen right…read moreaway. The staff was so friendly and of course Shadow was his charming self until it came to the exam lol. They were gentle with him and gave him plenty of treats afterwards . His Doctor was friendly and very enthusiastic about Shadow being in such good shape . He has nice teeth , clean ears, clear lungs . Knowing all of this made me relax more. He got a clean bill of health with the exception that he's FIV positive. Shadow is the only cat in our house and he's strictly a indoor cat. Even with that he can and will live a full life . One of the ladies did agree with me that he looks like he's part Russian Blue. In terms of cost the initial exam was free because we adopted him from LHS . I did pay for some additional testing and I think it was a fair price . Shadow does have pet insurance for those just in case moments hopefully they'll be none of those. Shadow will continue to to there for check ups and future shots .
