Two for $10 All Day. Served all day. Complete nonsense. I was charged $16 for two. And was told I had ordered wrong.

If you live in Spring Valley or AU Park, this is a wonderful little market to visit. It has nice produce, meat / seafood counters, and great assortment of indulgent cakes and other pastries. Yes, you could always go to the nearby Safeway or Giant for cheaper groceries. But the friendliness of staff makes this market extra special and the ease of parking makes the trip worth it. For hot bar food and other pantry staples, you can also hop over to the deli market which is 2-3 doors down. They have great assortment of bread, bbq sandwiches, and other good yums.

Sesame noodle salad. Way too salty, too much soy sauce and soaked in oil. Just awful! INEDIBLE.

DREDFUL! Dried out empanadas that taste more like Mexican food than Spanish -no raisins (a classic ingredient). I requested it hot yet it was cold inside. The tough stale dried out pastry was a sincere disappointment. Asian Sesame Noodle Salad has so much soy sauce & salt , that made it inedible; and I like salty food. Also drenched in oil. - This was really bad $5.99 wasted. $14.99 Tuna sandwiches. All in all, this place is a no go.

    Price gouging at its finest.

They charge you for the fat trimmed off of your steaks. No, seriously. Ordered two filets, they said "we weigh the steak in roast form and don't cut steaks." ???? At $45/pound you can't cut a steak? Then the clown behind the counter said "I'll cut you a break and we'll trim it this time", which was a lie. Paid $92 for 1 pound worth of steaks after trimming. Go to Morton's and at least have them cook it for you. I'll deal with trash customer service and outrageous prices because DC is DC, but don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. You guys are garbage and I'll never be back. Butcher's Alley in Bethesda is a better option and is $10/pound less.

    Nice deli meat selection

This market provides a wide range of fresh and prepared specialty foods and claims to have best beef brisket within 100 mile radius. If you're looking to cook products from local farmers then I would recommend coming here, but be aware that it comes with a price tag- yes even for DC.... in summary for my first experience here I give 5 for how friendly the staff were but a 3 for the food I had. The menu has a wide range of sandwiches and gourmet meals that one can choose from. We got the double decker sandwich( has brisket and pastrami) and the Ruben( pastrami only). The brisket had a strong disappointing gamey taste to it. Perhaps it was the meat that day but for what we paid for it I wouldn't order it in the future. I was also disappointed in that no chips or side of salad came with the rather expensive ($16and 13$) sandwiches. The fresh produce and meats from local farmers are reasons why I would come back in the future. If you're in the area you should stop by.

Wagshal's Nixon Salad with bonus stick! Not to my taste, but perhaps a goat would enjoy!

The sandwich was okay. The place is very cramped, and it is difficult to move around. Parking is acceptable.

No greeting just silence and then got hung up on after a second of them picking up. I called again and they finally young lady decided to answer with a greeting. Upon arriving to grab our LG dozen... we've always been able to stack military discount and the online coupon for $5 off since our last visit. I even confirmed with the cashier during our last visit because I thought that was really nice of them. The young lady cashiering this time around had no remorse or explanation but a "NO" just military or the coupon. If you're okay with this type of customer service and can over look it plus this place being a bit $$$ definitely try their steam crabs and fish they got here. Customer Service definitely needs work. Its very awkward coming inside to an awkward staring contest with everyone behind the fish counter and cashier ( NO GREETING OR HELLO) as if your trespassing into the building or hi how can we help you today? Are you looking for anything specific???. ... Anyways ... not sure when we'll return..

Whole Foods charged $12/lb and it was noticeably better. Same story with the short rib I got last month...almost half the price at Whole Foods and experienced better or the same quality. The funniest is the stock bones...$15 for a small pack. You'd need two to make any volume of stock, (so $30), and the same amount of bones would be $10 at the farmers market. I love supporting local places, especially high-quality butchers/groceries. I really do. But there comes a point when you have to ask if you're getting ripped off. With meats DOUBLE the price of another grocer that itself has a reputation for being expensive, it starts feeling like you're being taken advantage of. For what it's worth, the little old lady in front of me almost had a panic attack when they rang her up. I would've bought her groceries for her, but I suddenly realized that me buying a couple pounds of chuck roast and 10 marrow BONES to make stock with would already have me above $100. I saw another person put back cookies because after tax they were $7 each. Sorry, guys, but I'm out.
