unfortunately I won't recommend this place, Chinese/asian lady alway inform alway rushing, you can be there and she will still mess up the order, and calling, forget it totally unprofessional no people skill, besides that her language is very heavy, no CC only Cash, after $30 you can get a feee drink only if you pick up, so if your total is $90 and delivery you won't get anything. and because I told her I want to pay over the phone so wife can pick up she hang up.. that's the level of professionalism, customer service, and education they have .. by the way is another chines place by great neck by Arthur pizza which I rather order since they have more manners read more

I thought I was lucky when driving by, there was a parking spot in front of this take out restaurant. Clean store, very friendly counter help, fast service, and many people inside. Got home and the wonton soup's broth was truly like dirty dish water, and the wonton filling was just plain nasty. I enjoy chicken chow mein and pork lo mein but was not enjoying it tonight. The chow mein had a horrid smell and the lo mein was overly greasy and bland. The only savior was the pork egg rolls they were crisp and flavorful and tasted great. This place is hit or miss. The people always seem friendly to me. Sometimes they forget to offer you the free can of soda that comes with spending $15, but you just have to ask for it if they do. My biggest pet peeve about this place is that it is CASH ONLY which is really inconvenient, but there is an ATM about a half a block away in the bank. Their General Tso's is spiced with red pepper flakes instead of actual hot peppers which was disappointing. I've had it a few times and have never found it to be spicy enough even though I order it "Extra Spicy". The BBQ ribs are always really meaty and juicy. I've literally gotten a bag of bones from a couple of the other area Chinese places in the past. But here they seem to have a good source for their ribs. I don't care for the soups here, but I thought the eggroll was ok. Nothing special. The fried scallops are pretty decent and only like $4 for 10 of them. I always add those to my order. The pepper steak was uneventful, as was the fried rice. I would eat here again because it's close to home, but I would recommend sticking with the few winners on the menu. read more

The inside is kind of grimey and about 5-6 tables you may sit. $6.50 will get you pork fried dumplings & wonton soup..which I can't complain about, they have a solid lunch menu between 11-3. Avg prices range from $5.50-$7 Previous times I've ordered chicken and steamed veggies and wonton soup. I really disliked their black bean sauce and the wonton soup taste like soapy dish water. I recommend call to order first THEN pick up your meal or else you will be waiting quite a while. I stopped going here after twice getting ribs with "funky" meat; the other times prior were okay. I agree with the reviews of the free soda thing. Although it isn't the nicest looking place on the block, this is without a doubt THE BEST CHINESE FOOD AROUND. My husband and I are huge Chinese take-out fans, so when we moved to Lindenhurst we tried all the places in our immediate area only to be disappointed. Then one of our friends from two towns over recommended we try, New China, and we have been loyal customers ever since! The staff is really friendly and when we praised their takeout and cited our distance as the only reason we don't go as often as we like, they offered to deliver to us! It's been about 5 years and we order about 1x a week and they will deliver rain, sleet, snow or hail to us for an order of only about $15! Worst customer service ever!! I stopped by this place for the first time, being that it stays open a little later than most other Chinese Fast food places in the area. Walked right up to the counter, and without even acknowledging me took a phone order. That was ok, since I wasn't in a rush. After standing there like a fool, for 4 more phone orders, where I wasn't even acknowledged in the minutes in between ( I was only person at the counter ) Did the whole "ahem" thing to try and politely gain acknowledgement .I just looked at her as she stared into space like a gormless fool, and said " I guess you're too busy, ( they weren't ) have a good night" . Not even as much as an apology! Pitiful customer service, will never be back, and didn't look to be the cleanest compared to other Chinese food joints in the area. As for what I thought of the female cashier , I can't use bad language here, but if I could- it would rhyme with "rich"! If I could give it minus stars I would, but for now I will stick to the Great Wall on Merrick, the food is good, they are friendly and know how to treat a customer right from the start - just wish they were open a little later. read more
