Nice RV park Close to Home. Checked into Columbia Riverfront RV Park for a quick two night…read moregetaway. Check in was smooth and easy. Staff informed us that the park is now owned by the Port of Woodland. Site 55 was gravel and it was level and gave us plenty of room for our truck and trailer. Checked out the upstairs club room and shot a round of pool. There was no one else in the room. Tried my luck fishing on the beach just below the park. No bites during the two days we were there. Obviously the fish didn't care for the coon shrimp offerings. Park is quiet and kept very clean, pool was open but we didn't use it. There is also a horseshoe pit and basketball hoop that we didn't use either. Will return again since it's so close to home and the location on the river can't be beat.

The sites are level and not too close together, each spot features a grass area and picnic table. The park offers a lovely community center that includes a pool table, foosball table, puzzles and board games. The room also includes tables, a seating area and a small kitchen. Unfortunately, it rained the majority of the time we were there, but since we had a travel trailer, we just played games inside all day. The great part was that we knew the rain was coming so on day one, we went to the beach and enjoyed every minute in the warm water. The water is seems clean, the waves are great. Even though it's a river, I did not worry about floating away. I still enjoy watching the ships. One of my nieghbors showed me an app that gives you info on the ships that pass. I still recommend this place. Unlike lasdt time, no barking dogs nor car alarms. Even my neighbor had dogs and they were so well behaved. Great time! Definitely visit if you have a chance. This time we parked down by the restrooms (near tents). Okay, little kids don't know better and kept running through our spot, but when their parents saw them, they corrected them.

Unfortunately we never made it to the water because our dogs all got these tiny stickers/thorns in their paws, and I was wearing sandals, so I had these little stickers underneath my toes too and they hurt!! My poor lab started walking very oddly and so I checked his paws and they were all over his paw pads... thankfully I had my daughter who had thick shoes on to help me pick him up and get him off the grass and to the paved path. It was a horrible experience and I was surprised there were no warning signs saying to stay off the grass as there's tiny burs everywhere and you can't see them. That was our first experience with this place, there was a good amount of people there who were camping and no one else on the grass except us, now we know.... Please, Skamokawa Vista Park post signs for newcomers and their dogs who have no idea of the sticky burs that horribly hurt and stick to everything!! Needless to say we didn't make it to the water and no sunset photo opps because we were too busy pulling the burrs out of our shoes and our dogs paws... bathrooms were decent enough though.

I realized the mistake that I had made by staying at the other place. This place has more to offer. Even though the other place is more expensive and has larger spots, this place has a swimming area, easy access to the water for those with boats or kayaks, or just floats. We tried fishing but didn't catch any. We had a few bites but did not latch on. We stayed in a standard cottage that had everything we needed. There were quite a few things we could have left behind and not have brought. The AC kept the whole unit cool although we brought our own fan to help battle the extreme heat of 90°. We would have given a 5 star review if not for the wifi being totally unavailable even though it is advertised as having it and the hot water running out after one shower. The next person would have to wait at least an hour to be able to enjoy and finish a short shower. Overall it was a nice stay and would go again if we can. Price is on the spendy side..as much as a hotel room.

We were in need of a stopover along the way on our trip to central Oregon, and this RV park's…read morelocation in Castle Rock was perfect. We reserved online, and chose a "hookup" site that (upon arrival) was barely large enough for a camper van - much less our 25' RV and similar length tow vehicle. Luckily, the nice couple who run the office were able to upgrade us to a larger site with full hookups. Thank goodness as we would have been without a place to stay overnight! This is not really a campground as much as it is an RV park with a lot of fulltimers. That being said, the place is relatively clean and pretty quiet. Sometimes these types of parks can be a little sketchy, but this one was fine and fit our needs as a waypoint. We also got to visit the nearby Mt. St. Helens Visitors Center as well as grab a couple of beers down the road in downtown Castle Rock. If you're looking for a camping-style experience, this probably isn't the right place. But if you need a quick place to stop not far from the freeway, it was perfectly fine and felt safe.

This place is beyond perfect…read more I had the pleasure of meeting Lance when we checked in and when making purchases at the General Store. "Nice and friendly" is beyond an understatement when describing this gentleman. The General Store has so many snacks, I probably spent $60 on all the stuff I ate. I couldn't help myself. You won't be left hungry here. They do close early at 6 on though so use your time wisely! We stayed in Condo 2 and it was absolutely lovely. They even have pots, pans, silverware, dishes and mugs in the kitchen for you to use. Oh! We were so happy to see a griddle! The bathtub is also a jacuzzi! And they had little toiletries for you. Oh, and makeup remover wipes even! Talk about next level thinking! Everything hardware you need for a basic stay is there. It really felt like home. Balcony was a nice touch, but the air conditioning unit for the store was directly under the balcony and ran 24/7. There was no air conditioning in the room, so windows needed to be open. When I talked to the lady in charge she offered no solutions, only that maybe next time we could stay in the condos. NEXT TIME??? The mail truck pulled up next door at 5:30am and lots of loud noise loading the truck. And $157.....
