I will post enough pictures so you can be the judge. Terraced rows of sites puts you not Looking into others RVs. Very clean & maintained park. Full timers are on the very top tier, giving them move room & privacy. Staff was very nice, the young man (Adam) even gave me tips on good hiking near by. There is a large fenced in dog park with large field beside it. Dog park is a little walk away & lights didn't work, but it was nice enough. Showers & bathrooms were clean, water was very hot/plenty of it. Great water pressure, outstanding. There is a hidden moss covered trail off the dog park area that we enjoyed stretching our legs after our drive in. Mt Saint Helens is very close as is the local town of Castle Rock. Very quite park & got a good nights sleep. Kids play area was great (see pic). Cheapest gas locally was near park at turn off, you don't need to go into town. Call them and ask if you can get site C-2 or C-3. They also have a couple pull throughs. We only stayed couple nights, because we were just passing through. Got a full day hiking in on Blast Zone Trail, near Mt Saint Helens. **DON'T EAT AT Chinese restaurant in town worst food ever**

When I asked when his radar was last calibrated and rolled up my window, he stood there for a few seconds as he continued to chew the mouthful of food he was eating, then walked away, obviously bewildered. If I wanted to spend the night with a bunch of transient tweakers, I would have just crashed in Longview at the Walmart parking lot. Completely unlike any KOA I've ever seen. At least the manager was pleasant when I asked for a refund on my second night. Wasn't putting my family through another night of that.

We tried fishing but didn't catch any. We had a few bites but did not latch on. We stayed in a standard cottage that had everything we needed. There were quite a few things we could have left behind and not have brought. The AC kept the whole unit cool although we brought our own fan to help battle the extreme heat of 90°. We would have given a 5 star review if not for the wifi being totally unavailable even though it is advertised as having it and the hot water running out after one shower. The next person would have to wait at least an hour to be able to enjoy and finish a short shower. Overall it was a nice stay and would go again if we can. Price is on the spendy side..as much as a hotel room.

I realized the mistake that I had made by staying at the other place. This place has more to offer. Even though the other place is more expensive and has larger spots, this place has a swimming area, easy access to the water for those with boats or kayaks, or just floats. I will return to this place in summer 2026. Plus, I do like the idea of ordering breakfast and not having to cook. ;) Ice cream is the double plus. (Labor Day 2025)

The sites are all gravel (no grass at all), the sites are very narrow, one restroom building was locked (and looked liked it had been years since it had been used), and the other restroom was deplorable. It looked like the floor hadn't been cleaned in weeks, paint was peeling from the stall doors...you get the idea... The grounds looked like they had been neglected for years as well. It looked like most of the campers were living here full time. There was no store and the office was closed all day Saturday and Sunday. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

We found the campground to be clean, quiet, and well cared for. The staff (especially the owners Alan and Ember) are friendly, welcoming, and very willing to help if you need anything. I usually spend my camping days reading or relaxing around the campsite while my husband likes to fish. We found Silver Lake Resort to be the perfect place to enjoy both as we slowed down and unplugged for a few days. Having camped mostly in California, I especially appreciated the classic campground atmosphere that's getting harder to find locally. If you're looking for a place where you can make great memories with family or friends and enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer, I highly recommend Silver Lake Resort. We are already planning another trip for the spring!

The park has many permanent residents, spots for long-term stays like ours, and several pull-thrus for overnighters. Not easy to get a reservation but well worth it if you can. Price is very reasonable. The park is kept very clean, laundry facilities are wonderful and not too expensive ($1.25 per load washer and dryer), and there is a sweet little stream running through the park sided by a large grassy area that was wonderful for our dog to run and play. No one objected to him being off leash there, but he comes when he's called, so I'm not sure how people would react to a dog that isn't under control. There were some ducks in the stream and a little bridge that crosses it. We felt very safe here and had quiet neighbors. There was noise from Trosper Road, but not more than the usual two-lane road, and certainly better than freeway noise would be in some of the other parks. Fred Meyer, UPS/fax store, Albertson's, Wal-Mart, and Costco nearby, also gas and coffee shops and other smaller stores. We would love to have found a house in this area. Would definitely recommend this place for short- or long-term stays.

Staff informed us that the park is now owned by the Port of Woodland. Site 55 was gravel and it was level and gave us plenty of room for our truck and trailer. Checked out the upstairs club room and shot a round of pool. There was no one else in the room. Tried my luck fishing on the beach just below the park. No bites during the two days we were there. Obviously the fish didn't care for the coon shrimp offerings. Park is quiet and kept very clean, pool was open but we didn't use it. There is also a horseshoe pit and basketball hoop that we didn't use either. Will return again since it's so close to home and the location on the river can't be beat.

The sites are level and not too close together, each spot features a grass area and picnic table. The park offers a lovely community center that includes a pool table, foosball table, puzzles and board games. The room also includes tables, a seating area and a small kitchen.
