Clean and well kept, but I noticed was that with all the parties going on, they were not quieting them down. Also, I noticed that barking dogs, again, they were not questing them down. I wish I could say that they were. It would have made the stay more enjoyable. For the price, I expected a little more. Yes, my site was large, but there was no privacy. My friend had a cabin and it was cute. They had privacy, well, considering they were indoors. ;) They had a patio, but bees were everywhere, so we had to eat inside. That's nature's problem, I guess. I did enjoy kayaking. I kayaked to a nearby campsite, then back and decided to try going all the way to the center. It was kind of nice. They had music playing and I just hung out in my kayak. The problem, where you enter and exit, little kids were playing (only place to try and swim, even though it's not a swim area), and I had to hang out in my kayak until they decided they should move. A friend reserved a cabin and ended up not being able to use it, so she gifted it to me. I gratefully accepted and spent the first night solo with my dog. We were in premium cabin #95. It had everything we needed and more! The cute little s'more waiting for me when I got to the cabin was a nice touch. The next night, my friend stayed with me. I purchased some firewood from the store and we had a nice fireside dinner. The boat ramp was also very close and we were able to paddle board out to the lake. Cherry in the office went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome and had everything I needed. Lester helped me get my parking pass squared away and was also lovely to chat with. I now see why they are booked so far in advance! I'll be back for sure! read more

Overall we had a very wonderful stay over the weekend. The park is very clean and well maintained. However there is a lot of goose poop on the grassy areas. We tried fishing but didn't catch any. We had a few bites but did not latch on. We stayed in a standard cottage that had everything we needed. There were quite a few things we could have left behind and not have brought. The AC kept the whole unit cool although we brought our own fan to help battle the extreme heat of 90°. We would have given a 5 star review if not for the wifi being totally unavailable even though it is advertised as having it and the hot water running out after one shower. The next person would have to wait at least an hour to be able to enjoy and finish a short shower. Overall it was a nice stay and would go again if we can. Price is on the spendy side..as much as a hotel room. read more

Pros- feels secure, there is really nowhere to get into the resort without walking past the front desk and up a long road. -waterfront. It is a little ways back from the main lake, but that keeps it quiet and peaceful and away from speedboats. -so close to the water that we put in our kayaks in right from our cabin site. -The cabin was amazing! Brand new gas appliances. Cute decor. Comfortable furnishings. Nice working coffee pot as well as a french press. Coffee was included as well. Air conditioning. Everything looked brand new. Cons- I am nervous to post this because I don't think many people know about this resort yet and I don't want it to get crowded. ;-) read more

This place is beautiful and right at the base of Mt St Helens. Giant lodge with a fireplace and two giant outdoor fire pits. They will deliver firewood to you. Multiple outdoor kitchens. Quiet peaceful lake side and a hustling fishing canal on the other. Lots of baby geese in the spring too. Cabins are plush and RV sites are large. read more

Once again another GREAT time at silver lake cove. Very helpful staff Jenny and Luke are amazing. They took care of us the whole weekend. We rented nine cabins. Check in and check out was a easy process thanks to Jenny. Luke handled the whole park issue asap. When there was any small problem Luke was there. You would think he was a triplet. Luke was here Luke wS there Luke was everywhere. This place is awesome for a weekend or a few days get away and the staff makes place amazing. Feel like home away from home. Just spent our 2 day minimum, with 5 people 2 vehicles 1 motorcycle, our travel trailer, one tent, one dog, and 5 people. The rockery that cocers the RV site is sharp uneven and absolutely not pet friendly nor tent friendly. We noticed the electrical box cover was lying on the ground totally ripped off the hinges. The picnic table was splinter city. Our spot was next to some cabins. We got to talking to one of the cabin renters absolutely not worth the $265.00 per night 2 night minimum. That all being said. The resort is very clean, relatively quiet, and very peaceful. The staff is super nice and their little store although pricey is convenient. We probably won't be returning, however it is a positive experience we won't forget. read more

We have been to Silver Cove several times. We love it until now! We have been trying to contact them many times in the last four days. Both email and phone calls. Absolutely no response. We did cancel our reservation because of the severe wether warning. Record breaking temperatures. We are seniors. They have not responded to us at all! Yet they had no delay in charging our credit card for the full stay. We did love this place so sorry it's changed. read more

What happened? We've been coming here a few times a year for a while now. Have always enjoyed it until this past weekend. Place was dirty, no staff and those working are clueless, and higher prices. We weren't able to reserve a prime spot but wanted to try this out because we really like the drive, from Hoquiam, and have a newly purchased RV trailer. The park mainly sits near a series of canals and I was very grateful that there weren't swarms of mosquitoes biting us. Still, it isn't beautiful by any means and because we have had so little rain, a lot of things were dried out. Be prepared for lots of added fees on your bill and if you want to rent a kayak, they arrive late or don't arrive at all, with paperwork or the actual rental. There was a great deal of animal feces through the park (and I realize that it's owners responsibility to pick up but so many people are inconsiderate and can't be bothered) and even though it would not be a stellar job opportunity someone should be checking the grounds and cleaning up. There were both fresh and old piles so I know that the RV sites probably weren't check between guests. The WiFi was very bad, pretty much useless where we were parked (space #91) but the cable tv was good and had lots of channels (husband was even able to watch golf on Golf Channel) We might try it again, next Spring, but wouldn't book unless a premium spot were available. read more

Traveler Beware We booked a replacement stay at Silver Cove as our first time staying in the cabins was very poor (they were dirty, hooks in the carpet etc). The replacement booking (January 2019), our party (3 elderly disabled persons) arrived earlier than we did to celebrate our mothers 69th birthday. I will keep this short as there were a lot of details of how wrong this trip went with regards to their cabins, the treatment of our elderly party and the onsite staff. Essentially, we were coming in very late. Our party arrived early which included our mother and two others, all three-elderly disabled. I am appalled at the treatment they received. Our second experience with the customer service at this local regarding the cabins also went awry. Our mother inquired into a different cabin as it was for 3 disabled elderly people. There were no pictures on their website regarding the accommodations and what they looked like or we would have chosen a different cabin for them. A week after our stay, we received an email from the general manager stating our mother had demanded a different cabin; alleging we had damaged the cabin wall, a chair and tracked excessive mud everywhere and we could no longer be accommodated at their site. I immediately responded requesting an explanation of why we were being contacted a week later; I have requested 1/25, 1/28 and 1/29 they provide time/date stamped photos of the alleged damage; they have not provided time/date stamped photos. I have given ample time for response before providing a review of their "hospitality". As to alleged damage and dirt; our elderly party left the cabin in good condition with no damage - they took their boots off at the front door as they do in their own home. Recommendations if you decide to stay: 1) If you are traveling to this site or any sites with highwaywestvacations.com know that it's a family owned business and the office staff take precedence over the customer experience. 2) If you rent a cabin take before and after pictures with time/date photos; I'd now recommend you do this for a RV site as well. 3) If you give feedback as to an experience you've had with their site or staff, know the general manager and VP are related - do not expect a favorable resolution. 4) They have been unable to produce time/date stamped photos of alleged damages. 5) The office staff seems to be nice, however, do not be fooled, they will not stand behind what they said verbally (call recording and review would thwart this behavior) - get everything in writing by following up with their resort with an email as to what was said/promised. Sadly, this feels retaliatory in nature and that they did not actually want to reimburse for the first incident at their local. Money was never the issue, we would have paid for our mother's stay as a birthday gift and for our RV, we requested that what was promised be honored. Prior to how all of this was handled, I would have easily given Silver Cove a 4.5-5 star with our stay in a RV space as there really is no interaction with the staff nor the management structure. However, now that we have dealt with the management structure and the nepotism within the organization, I would give them a 1 star for the lack of authentic customer care and stellar customer experience. Albeit this is camping resort I still expect stellar customer service, this organization, its staff and management entirely missed the mark. If you are staying in an RV entirely self-contained not needing anything from the staff - Silver Cove is okay. If you are staying in the cabins and/or need to interact with the staff in any manner due to anything not working onsite, need to change cabins or RV site location, I would not recommend staying at this location. When one wants to get out of town or take a vacation, you should not have to take pictures of everything - it's a vacation and time away to relax but I would recommend it to protect yourself. read more

I am so rarely steered wrong by yelpers but this is a big disappointment to us after the stellar reviews. Arrived to a nice little office and a very pleasant check-in staff. After that, it all went down hill. We were assigned a premium back in and if they think there is anything premium about this site 14 they need to get out more often. We have been on the road for 6 weeks and this is indeed the poorest site we have stayed in, especially for the price. Cons: Leveling sucks Sewer is uphill from the site. We have traveled 23 states and this is first for us. The site is basically a gravel pit with no shade. Weeds on the site with the surrounding edges also large weeds. Large aggressive geese and lots of gee crap. I know they can't fix that. A very long walk to the office unless you can boat across the creek. Wifi sucks but thankfully my hotspot allowed UPDATE: Amazing response from Samantha. Did NOT address most of the issues I stated, ie uphill sewer, non-level site etc etc. i stand by my review after 6 weeks traveling the west coast. read more

Prices for Rv spots almost doubled!!! We have been camping here since 2016 and have had lots of friends join us throughout the years with their own rv. We always book the premiere sites with full hook ups and have paid $55 per night just last year(I have all our old invoices in my email). Just came back from camping here and was in shock prices for same sites are now $95 plus tax/night!! This is the highest we pay at any campground. Sadly, this was our last time with camping there with those outrageous prices. The place was the most dead I have seen it, especially for may. We have been there in march under the old ownership and it was pretty full so I'm pretty sure the price has steered away a lot of people. I'm not a cheap person, but paying $215 for 2 nights to camp in our own rv is just nuts! Super disappointing! On another note, the wifi has gotten horrible. It was pretty non existent in our premier site (our friends in their site also had no wifi)...so this is what over $100 a night plus tax gets you so if you have any work zoom calls keep that in mind. read more

Had an amazing vacation here! The smaller cabin is perfectly sized and has everything you need, plenty of towels, plates, bowls, silverware, cooking-ware, glasses, mugs, coffee, salt and pepper, full fridge and freezer, oven and four stovetops. Everything was clean. All questions were excitedly and quickly answered. Front desk and all other staff very professional but personable and funny. All smiley faces. In particular spoke with and was helped by Alecia, Heather, and Audrey, all were great. Prices are great too. The pavilion and lodge are gorgeous as well, and good sized. The lodge is the larger and would definitely be gorgeous for an event. read more

I've been meaning to write this review since Labor Day. I've just booked a site for next August, so now seems like a good time to share my experience. We stayed in a premium back in site right next to the hunter cabins (I can't remember the site number). We booked Thursday through Sunday Labor Day weekend. The site was right on the water. It was large, had plenty of room for the 2 kids to play and the sunset was stunning. However, there wasn't any shade so it did get hot in the evening. The resort had just opened a new beautiful event hall with air conditioning and picnic tables inside and a grill, comfortable patio furniture and shade out back. We used the grill to cook our dinner and enjoyed a relaxing Friday evening by the water. The event hall also has a shower and bathroom available, which was clean and convenient to our site. Now the unfortunate negative experience. Friday, a large group of rowdy boaters came to stay in the hunter cabins. Quiet hours start at 10 PM but it was clear by around 8:30 or 9 that there would be a problem as they were very loud and drunk. We called all the phone numbers we could find asking the resort staff to come enforce quiet hours. But, we couldn't get a hold of anyone. Around 10:30 my husband went over to ask them to be quieter as they had woken our 2 toddlers up several times already. They were very unpleasant and rude to say the least. Around midnight, someone else went over to talk to them (not resort staff, just another camper) and they finally went to bed. We decided the stress of the interactions with the other campers, the crying toddlers and the lack of sleep wasn't worth another night of camping so we packed up and left Saturday morning. The next day, the manager was very apologetic. He credited us for our stay and offered 2 free nights for a future stay. His efforts definitely helped offset our very negative experience and I sincerely appreciate the hospitality he extended. I understand that holiday weekends can get rowdy but I would offer this feedback. Please enforce quiet hours and be more reachable if something comes up. We really shouldn't have had to interact with the loud party ourselves. Bottom line: This is a beautiful RV resort and I am very likely to make this a yearly camping destination......just probably not on a holiday weekend read more

Just returned from a mid week two night stay at Silver Cove. It was our first trip but will likely not be our last. We stayed in a "premier" spot that backed up against the little meandering stream (?). The park was quiet (it wasn't crowded at all for our stay - we did not have direct neighbors). The spaces are pretty close together so I imagine that if the park were more full it may have been somewhat more noisy. We brought a kayak and a SUP board which were easy to use (and fun to use!) right from our camp spot. The park also rents a variety of boats if you don't have your own. The RV park also has cute cabins which would be fun to try out sometime. The wifi, not unlike other RV parks we have stayed at, was spotty at best. My partner had cell service (AT&T) but my phone (Sprint) had sketchy service. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would make a return trip for a quick "get away" from home. read more

This place is gold! My husband and I's favorite little hidden gem to camp, fish, kayak with friends and family!(if you don't have your own you can rent right there. They have kayaks, peddle boats and paddle boards and row boats!) All the staff are extremely helpful and very friendly! They keep the grounds immaculate. The RV sites are nice and big, and flat spaces and full 30/50 amp hook ups (which is not always the case at RV parks) it's also awesome, they have quite a few different cabins you can rent! We brought my dad with us one trip and rented him a cabin so he could have his own little spot (he got one right on the canal and absolutely loved it) it's a place we go to again and again. Nice grounds, and friendly check in staff. Prices were pretty high, especially for being off season. I did appreciate that they gave us a second vehicle pass without extra fee like most campgrounds. The grounds have a few public buildings for hanging out with friends, which are nice. An outdoor propane grill is available for use, but when we opened the lid, we found it was full of mold. The bathrooms have code locks, which is for campers, but they never provided the code. Although, you will have to deal with intrusive and sometimes rude and aggressive people there for fishing. People kept walking through our campsite, including close enough to our trailer that they were walking between our picnic table and trailer. One day when I was in my trailer, I came out to find one of them had decided to park in our camp site, and since there were 20 other people fishing, did not know which one had parked there. Other fishermen had parked in other campsite that happen to be empty. Campground staff drove by in golf carts, but did not stop to enforce any rules, including the random person who parked in our campsite. On our last day, another fishing group pulled into our camp site, which blocked me from being able to leave. I asked why they were parking in our site and not the parking lot and they became rude, yelling and cussing at me. Staff mentioned a buy one day get one day free sale on a Google review, and mentioned to check their website. Since the review had been left a week before, I checked the website, to find no mention of said sale. I contacted them through their website, but received no reply. So if you like fishing, and don't care about rude and intrusive people coming through and at times taking over your site, along with non-responsive and non-engaging staff, this campground is for you, otherwise try elsewhere. read more

This is a nice RV park with sweet cabin options in various sizes. My husband and I just wanted to explore the Mount St Helens area for a couple of days and relax in the evening without too much hassle. Nice scenery, comfortable accommodations, clean, friendly atmosphere, and all the basic needs covered for a weekend away. We stayed in the cottages, and enjoyed the set up with a bedroom, kitchen, and separate living room. Absolutely will come here again! read more

Peaceful Place to Relax We found this RV park through the Good Sam club ( discount offered) and we were pleased with our stay. The park hosts were very friendly and park was extremely clean and exceptionally quite. There were lots of geese around (watch out for the poop!) as well as several deer wandering through the park. The lake was serine and enjoyable as were the canals that run through the park. Overall we had a relaxing weekend at this park. read more

We have stayed here on 4 occasions. The park used to be pretty quiet, mostly people going out to fish. This last stay we were surprised to find out that the old rules limiting visitors to 6 people was changed to there is no limit. Of course we got the pleasure of staying next to a site with 12-15 people and screeching children, non stop fire and yeah up all night giggling and talking. We had non-campers park IN our spot, the bumper was all the way up to the fire pit and had to ask them at 7:30 am to move their car out of our camp site. The park staff responded very promptly. They need a group camp area so people with large groups can go have fun and not torment people who just want to relax. read more

This place is not sanitary in these times. I went there 12/28/2020 , and there was no hot water. The toilet took 3 tries to flush. They must spray something as I opened the sugar package and something disgusting was on the package. I called them from 8pm-11:30pm, the front desk was closed, the after hours number was disconnected/ unavailable. It wasn't until I emailed them that someone responded via email. They tried moving me at 11:30pm. How do I know the new place is sanitized? What sense does it make to pack up to unpack in the middle of the night. I had to corresponded through this ordeal only by email. When I replied I was leaving, I no longer received any more response. read more

Really great place especially for a lengthier stay. We only stayed one day but really enjoyed ourselves there. River view wasn't much of a river, more like a lillypad filled creek. But still pretty. I've been to enough private and state parks to appreciate how beautiful and well kept Silver Cove is! Many, Heather, Zach, Marc, Audrey and all the staff are professional - it's easy to tell they like their jobs. The park is surrounded by nature and offers fun activities, fishing, and nearby Mt St Helens volcano with exhibits and hiking. Definitely recommend! read more

I don't have enough good things to say about silver cove rv resort. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The sites are HUGE, easily could fit two rvs! And there is lots of land....so there's lots of separation between areas. The bathrooms and facilities are clean and nice! We have stayed at a lot of campgrounds..... this is one of THE NICEST! We really like camping here! We just discovered it this year. The campsites are clean and easy to pull into. The restrooms are very clean. Great kayaking and bass fishing. Easy to make reservations. The only negative thing I can stay is checkout is at 11 a.m. It is a hurried Sunday morning for us because of early checkout and we lose a whole day at the park. read more
