It is no accident there was NO LINE at dinner time on a Wednesday night, the community must already be aware the Gen whateverZ have absolutely no customer service or common sense when handling online ordering, preparation and presentation of orders. My 12 year old had online order number on her phone, two (2) standard boxes with two (2) 24 oz drinks, " to go." How do YOU think this order should be packaged? Well, I instructed my daughter to grab the order as I went to the lavatory and I would meet her at a nearby table. As I approached the counter, I saw her ask for a drink holder. And then I saw her attempt to stack the boxes atop the other!!! Wth???? Hold up, Baby Girl??!!! "XqquuuZzee mee?? Please may she have a bag???" My child says, " I got it!" " I'm sure you do. Wejust spent $30 here on 2 meals and you are here alone. The least they can do is offer you a drink carrier and food carrier!" The counter clerk gives me the bag, I say TY, pack it, and turn to leave. Another staff says something to that clerk, who then turns to me," what name is the order under?" I give them my name. And walk away. In most work situations, these are training issues, and I have great compassion for ignorance. However, upon observation the patron appeared to be struggling with gathering and collecting the order in their possession therefore the transaction has not been completed yet. My daughter is my bias. Don't mess with MamaZ Baby!!!

Shopping in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. I didn't really know that this place was Kaimuki Shopping Center... It's a huge structure between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue that runs along Waialae Avenue. Times Supermarket is on the bottom level, and Longs, Cookie Corner, and the Hawaii State Employees Federal Credit Union are on the middle level. Those are the places that I see and know. I looked at the directory and saw that there are many offices on that top level that I never visit. Customers can use the stairs or elevator to navigate between levels. Free covered parking is on the bottom level. The middle level also has free parking, but the row furthest away from the building is reserved for employees. This is pretty good outdoor mall. I've gotten meals from several businesses such as Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27, Higoto, and Coco Bloom. I'll be back!

Great value, service, and selection of products at Longs Drug and Times Supermarket. Yummy food options at the upstairs (Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27) and downstairs food service restaurants (Higoto and Coco Bloom). Take your pick of your bentos, musubis, sandwiches and more. At Kaimuki Shopping Center you can get your banking, grocery shopping and teeth cleaning done, all in one trip!

Kapahulu pride…read more.. First of all I can't believe that a bakery used to be here as now it's home to Safeway which wasn't my go to grocery store until they began to set their place here in Kapahulu Shopping Center which is quite massive and very nice to include a Starbucks as well, yes it is definitely the anchor here with a lot of free parking and we all know that it does fill up fast but they do have an upper level as well just take the ramp up and you'd be surprised to see a lot more stalls along with elevators to take you down so it's an easy access to wherever you're going as this shopping center is filled with wonderful merchants like AT&T, Chronic Tacos, Panda Express, Timmy T's, GNC just to name a few. For those that are here just to pick up some take out food there are a few stall dedicated for that for ease of doing so like delivery drivers I do see take full advantage of that making it a thoughtful process for those that are just here for a few and with that is time saved for those that are staying near Waikiki or before heading out to the freeway. Thank you!

I liked that sandwich place, and I would drive here just for their sandwiches. It so hard find parking in front of the businesses throughout the day. What is nice, is the parking is free! Recently came to Moojigae Korean Grill after the lunch rush hours and found a parking stall right in front. New businesses to open soon are the Loco Moco Drive Inn and a second location for Mikiya, a Wagyu Shabu House. Timmy T's , Panda Express, AT&T, GNC, as well as Chronic Tacos are located at this Shopping Center. There are more parking stalls on the roof top with Elevators service. You can see Diamond Head from the roof top parking! The Kapahulu Shopping Center is on Kapahulu Avenue and there's also a back entrance for the residential area near Timmy T's. I can't wait to go Loco Moco's Drive Inn when they open. Sometimes you can find some coupons printed behind the Safeway's receipt for the near by businesses. Please stop by this Shopping Center on the way to Waikiki or when you're in the area. They have many take out eateries to try! This Safeway is huge like the main store located on Beretania St!

L & L Hawaiian Barbecue is a tried and true place for plate lunches and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh and hot - and as a former resident of Oahu, mac salad and rice is a treat. For a burger rush, we ate the Mahaloha burger - certified Angus beef and again, it was hot and delicious. Their fries were great as well. My brother-in-law asked about a malasadas and told him that it is more or less a doughnut but was brought to Hawaii by the Portuguese who came to work the fields back a hundred or so years ago. It's sold all over the islands now. When I lived here in the '70's, a food truck parked itself in a parking lot and people lined up to buy it. When they ran out, that was it until the next time and it was not everyday. Penny's malasadas was good and delicious. It was hot and sooo ono, as we say it in the islands! There's a price to pay for the delicious food though - and it's not cheap! So go try, yeah!

The place to get things done…read more.. As many shopping area are being torn down only to go massively vertical I'm so thrilled that they didn't do that here knowing how dated it has become what they did is just phenomenal! It's almost incomprehensible of the previous structure to have it taken from us not knowing what was in the plans as I did visit it quite frequently and just having it was nice alternative to venture out at Kahala Mall. Considering the space they worked with I'm sure the traffic flow was the real challenge as sometimes it still confuses me so I just grab a stall when I do find one so that I'm not in a situation that forces me to exit the area which do happen quite frequently lol! As it slowly filled up from some vacant spots I do love the varieties they have to offer from snacks at Wholesale Unlimited, to eats at BBQ Chicken, J Dolan, and Daiichi Ramen, sips at Lanikai and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, or how about a Unicorn Butt Sneeze from Purvé Donut, get glamed at Drybar or Kahala Nails, gas filled, or need that Urgen Care...all done here! Welcome Capriotti's Sandwich Shop which just opened recently, and I do believe Yohei Sushi will be joining us this winter...and you think this is awesome you'll see a few water features that are simply soothing and beautiful there's a plaque which explains some history of the Wai'alae area that I have no idea and is a great humbling fact. Come visit Kū'ono Marketplace as it has so much to offer... Thank you!

I have only been to BBQ Chicken, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Kahala Mkt, and Great Clips. A nice selection of local businesses and corporate chains. Parking lot could've been better planned and it is always full but there are entrances and exits on the Waialae Avenue and Hunakai Street sides. Stall width allows for bigger vehicles.

Kaimuki is a special place- Lucky we live Hawaii!…read more Lafite Plaza is a small place. Reason for this review- Drivers Please Be Careful trying to Park. Kaimuki is not downtown NYC with rushing taxi's and bike drivers that know how not to get hit- the parking is a pain in the b*++ but there is plenty of street parking, the road in front of Lafite Plaza is two two way lanes but there is street parking so stopping and coming out of parking drive ways is very often. It is just up the street from when I used to live on 9th Ave. Just about 10th Ave, right in the heart of things in Kaimuki- well placed and so nice to have friendly little places to check out that are new or mainstays. Right now on the bottom of the Lafite Plaza is Champs- a nice friendly sports bar. Above that is Hot White. Bathrooms are just down halls- easy to find once you ask. Again parking is limited so plan accordingly if you know there are tons of people trying to attend something like the Kaimuki Parade or fest or anything big in the area.
