Disappointed since if they know it frequently rains in Hawaii, they should've been more prepared & already had the canopies set up over our tables. Several dining options at this mall made me smile! I wish I had a much longer vacation to explore more of the eateries here, lol. Vendors chatting, laughter in the distance. A comforting hum, a laid-back vibe. Unpretentious and deeply welcoming. All centered around a grand, massive 100+ year old banyan tree. Balanced on urban living, it was a connection to the social fabric of Honolulu. Nostalgic, charming, extremely unique. This was the original International Marketplace in Waikīkī. From 1956 to 2013. I frequented this spot from childhood into young adulthood when traveling from the Big Island of Hawai'i and during my university days at Mānoa. Memories with my family as a kid, with my college friends many years later. Having a quick meal as an adult at the International Marketplace food court while employed in Waikīkī. It was a spot for cheap eats in a relaxed setting. I've watched musical diva and Hawai'i legend, Melveen Leed perform many times. My parents still remember watching Don Ho here. At the original International Marketplace back in the day. Precious memories. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Now it's a blend of fresh air and natural light on three floors. Polished, refined with modern touches. Still offering a lively yet sweet escape with a fluid layout and an unconfined atmosphere. Reimagined and reopened in 2016. Home to major brands and unique local boutiques. A shopping and dining destination. Exhibits and the century-old banyan tree trace the rich heritage of Waikīkī. Entertainment welcomes visitors and kama'aina like myself to this gathering place. Parking here is decent thought you need to be aware and plan your visit during peak time and some are reserved so you must read and be careful parking in certain stalls as the Diamond Head building has a second floor with certain offices that has some reserved stall. Some 20 minutes stalls are super convenient for a quick dash in for some boba tea *yum!* and with a little patience you really don't have a problem parking here as in the evening the street parkings are available as well. Our hotel was situated on Lewers Street and I greatly enjoyed being on such a bustling street with good eats, high-end shopping, and lots of art & culture. They even have a free art gallery, frequent pop-ups of booths that sells local goods, and other fun and free entertainment. What really stood out to me was how easy it is to just wander here. No strict plan needed. One minute you're browsing locally made jewelry or handcrafted souvenirs, and the next you're drawn in by live music drifting through the open-air walkways. It feels lively without being overwhelming, like the perfect balance of energy and ease that Waikiki does so well. It also has that effortless day-to-night transition. During the day, it's bright, breezy, and great for a casual stroll or a quick bite between beach time. By evening, the whole area softens into something a little more magical: Music, people lingering longer, and the gentle breeze giving your nighttime stroll that movie magic. Of course, she won the eating contest. Raina ate 10 hamburgers in 5 minutes. Each participant receive a $20 gift card per hamburger eaten which was pretty good. Raina was the with Lovely Mimi whom brought the crowd to live with all her energy. After the contest, we got to take pictures with Raina and Lovely Mimi. I was able to have them autograph hubby's hat since he could not make it. They were giving away signed tote bag and stickers to the first 100 people.

Ward was originally marketed as a pet friendly area but it doesnt seem like it really is anymore…read more I feel really bad for the people who pay so much to live around this area and ended up with broken promises in the end. some areas seem a lot more dirtier and stinkier than others only because of the lack of grass and i think small patches would at least help so our pets have space to relive themselves other than the concreate floor or walls. it's also a shame that the ward shops is closing down for another new condo. i really loved all the cute little shops that was in there, but it'll just be another giant apartment building that most locals aren't able to afford to live in. this review is mainly for the newer parks that was built near dean and deluca and the one across the street. yes, it is beautiful but i think it would be nice for them to at least make an exception to allow dogs on them on it when they throw events on those particular lawns. There was this poor lady in front of me that tied up her dog on the poles (but in eye distance). It's so hot out right now and the risk of overheating or even kidnapped is a possibility. I could never do that and leave my dog tied up even if its 10 steps away because it could just take seconds for my sweet simba to be stolen. However, they don't seem to mind if you carry them or have them contained in something like a bag tho, but i think thats a little unfair for people who have larger dogs and can't do this. I also did not realize that the park across with the bridge also doesnt allow dogs on the grass, but it seemed like it just recently happened when the newer park re-opened. I think maybe a good solution is to add more trash cans around and maybe doggy bags like other communities that allow pets instead of hiring security to enforce pet owners to stay off the grass. Please don't punish the pet owners that are responsible but come up with a solution that there can be at least a happy medium for everyone.

There is also a wonderful tea place, Vietnamese restaurant, karaoke bar, and more! This center sits on the corner of Sheridan and Rycroft streets near Walmart and is a couple of floors high. Parking is pretty neat with lifts that carry your car into parking stalls within the building. There is also some street parking too. 808 Center is a nice spot to get some food and drink.

The only establishments of interest were Little G's Pizza and Mian - though I can't say that I've patronized either more than twice. I think I've been to Farmhouse Cafe once. Recently, that has changed as a couple of businesses have opened: Katsu Zen and Third Space Coffee. Another, Cafe Tadka have been open since last June. Third Space Coffee shares a third floor corner ( Diamond Head side ) with Cake M, a bakery. Katsu Zen opened the last week of July 2026 in Little G's old space on the second floor, just below Third Space Coffee. Cafe Tadka is at street level, next to Mian. Parking is available via valet from Sheridan where there are also 15 minute stalls for takeout orders. Stairwell is convenient but there is also an elevator.
