Our previous tenant moved out and left the floor with scuff marks, dirt marks, let's just say I couldn't tell what the original color of floor was. It was if for 3 years they didn't clean the floor, plus they wore shoes in the house. So it was grimy, scuffed, and almost all black. I get my carpets cleaned every year and I was extremely satisfied with my service last year so I called them again for my annual carpet cleaning. I was noticing a musty/dirty smell when I walked by the carpet machine as he was working but noticed an old looking blue rag hanging out of the back air blower and thought that was the reason. Well, my the carpets stink beyond belief now, both rooms and the hallway. I called, texted and found out that the previous owner sold and Solomon now owns the company (who also did my carpets, very nice and professional). That David sold the company and doesn't own it as Yelp still states David as the owner. I even googled what to do about the stench that day and put small bowls of vinegar all over my condo for over 18 hrs to try to absorb the smelly locker room stench. My doors were open, sliding glass doors and ac running with fan. My neighbors commented on the smell as it was now in the hallway. I contacted him, he came back to spay deodorizer on the carpets. I expressed that I felt they needed to be redone and that perhaps the machine was "stale" or something? He spayed a topical spray to deodorize and left me with some more to continue as needed. It is one week later and the carpets smell like a smelly locker room/dirty socks. It is horrible. I sent a message (no one answers the phone and tells you to text for faster service). No response. I want my money back and I have had to hire another company to come tomorrow and redo my entire condo. I pray this will fix the problem. I am not happy and will not recommend them moving forward. I am still waiting for a receipt for the service as well....smh. read more

Called to schedule an appointment on November 20th. Connection was horrible and called back a few times. No answer however he did text back saying that he couldn't answer at the moment. Scheduled an appt for Nov 30th. Requested a time and I did not hear from him. I text him again a few days later and he said he didn't have me on the schedule. Sent him a copy of the text message and gave me an excuse about his computer. He then sent a copy of me being on the schedule. The morning of a little past 8am I did not hear from him. Called and only got a voicemail. Left a message and never heard back. Horrible horrible service. I don't recommend them ever. What ever you do please don't trust anything they say. read more

If I could give a rating of less than zero stars to Waikiki Cleaners, I would. Hire this company at your own peril. This review was submitted to David Wilson, owner of Waikiki Cleaners prior to posting here. In the email that accompanied it, I asked him to correct any errors I made in the review within 72 hours. I received no such corrections. Therefore, one must conclude that what I am saying here is factual. In November 2016, I contacted this company to do a move out cleaning of the property that my wife and I occupied in Navy housing outside of Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (JBPHH). The cleaning was scheduled for Tuesday 13 December in preparation for our move out inspection scheduled on Wednesday 14 December 2016. Our household goods had been packed on 12 December. In addition to the standard household cleaning, I also hired Waikiki Cleaners to perform a carpet cleaning as required by Hunt Companies (formerly known as `Ohana), the group that manages the Navy's housing in Hawaii. I chose Waikiki Cleaners based on the reviews I read here on Yelp.com. When I got back to the house the morning of 14 December with the inspector, there were what the inspector called "bleach stains" on both the master bedroom carpet and the stairs. These stains were not there when Waikiki Cleaners arrived, and were only present after they had cleaned the property. As is standard procedure in accordance with the lease, Hunt Companies' inspector assessed me a charge of $1044 to replace the affected carpets. I immediately contacted Waikiki Cleaners to notify them so they could make appropriate restitution for the damage they caused. After initially positive interactions, David Wilson (who is also a pastor at Hope Chapel Westside in addition to his cleaning business) started dragging his feet on reaching an appropriate settlement. At his request I provided photographic evidence (posted here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_gyGwxva2MyWGtGWm1OTmk5WUE), as well as the paperwork from Hunt Companies. Also in those emails I outlined an airtight sequence of events that illustrated his company's liability in the damage beyond any reasonable doubt. I requested in this email that if I was in error on any of the facts I presented that he correct me. He offered no such correction. Instead, he lowered the respectful tone of our conversation by suggesting that I or someone else had altered the paperwork from the company to reflect the charges. Our dispute was not without some small positive moments. He initially offered to refund the carpet cleaning fee ($155) and later offered to pay to have the carpets re-dyed ($234.55). While I appreciate these offers, a settlement of no more than $.23 on the dollar is hardly acceptable. A word here: his offer to have the carpets re-dyed is pointless. Hunt Companies turns over the houses quickly after a family leaves. By the time he got around to making this offer, I had already left the island on military orders. So, I rejected both of his offers and waited for him to come around and settle what has now been a time consuming dispute for both of us. Cleaning was good. Had to redo little smudges in the kitchen but overall very good. But most importantly, I suggest you take before pics just in case you get damages after cleaning. Have to replace my ceiling fan cause it's broken now. Guy never admitted to breaking it. Not bad, not impressed though given the high reviews. Recently did a move out clean with carpet cleaning. Customer service wise everything was great however end product wasn't exactly "top to bottom". Whole back of the door and wall behind the door wasn't wiped down. The bottom molding by several areas wasn't touched. I went over the floors with a magic eraser to get more dirt out. While they do have 100% guarantee I didn't want to make the guy have to stay any longer. He did a good job with the screens and bathroom, but I was mostly a little bummed that all the walls weren't wiped down. Their carpet cleaner isn't the strongest but if you just need a spruce it'll do the job. We had to bring in our usual guy per landlords request. Carpet cleaning is the only thing they don't guarantee though. read more

I was at work during the time that they were going to come by, and they let themselves in using my lockbox, told me when they were arriving and finished, and locked up everything after. I emailed David between meetings at 10am on the off chance I could get same day service on a Tuesday. I got a reply within 15minutes and after a few back and forth we were set for a 4pm cleaning. David and his one staff arrived prompt (early even) and completed my 1000sq.ft. apt in less than an hour, for the price quoted (which was totally reasonable). On top of this great service, the carpet is night and day better. Some areas I was concerned turned out clean as new. Luckily, I was able to make an appointment with Waikiki Cleaners, only two days in advance. Working around a tenant that was still moving out, Solomon and his crew were incredibly polite and accommodating. Diligent and extremely dependable, they scrubbed, washed, swept, vacuumed, and shampooed throughout the home until it was completely finished. Nine hours' x 3 workers to be exact. The home was a large 3bdrm 2bath that hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in almost 3 years. After he and his crew were finished, the place looked fantastic! Solomon is one of the most hardworking guys I've ever met and I'm so glad we went with him. He not only cleaned out our apartment, but he also strip and waxed the floors. He did such a good job we actually got our deposit back because of his efforts. He basically worked on the unit for 2 days, the first day was for the heavy cleaning the next was for touching up and then stripping and waxing. Which made the apartment shine. He even did so despite that plumbing for the apartment complex had issues. He even lent his services to a unit that needed flood clean up on the second day. It should be noted he did this at around 5:30 at night, when he could have gone home after a full day's work. What also surprised me was that he even offered to come back for no extra cost if the apartment manager decided that the unit needed more cleaning. I can't thank owner David and his wife enough for their work at my listing in Waikiki. It was crunch time with a property I had listed and needed to find a cleaner at 11PM on a Friday for the next day...almost an impossible ask.
