After we checked out we walked past a gauntlet of three empty registers with cashiers lazily staring at us, knowing we didn't belong there. Silly us, we were happy to find a grocery store with a name we recognized- Mom and Pop places don't have corporate policies on discrimination and often aren't smart enough not to tell people to go to hell when they complain. That said, I never, ever have had a good experience at Shaw's. This was the smallest, the dirtiest, and the creepiest one I've been to yet, and I think this is largely determined by its location- Woodsville, New Hampshire.
