The best sandwich maker on the planet (and a delightful individual, too!)

Yellow Mustard is simply WONDERFUL! As we are from out of town (Texas), we asked some locals for a recommendation for a good place to eat lunch while we were traveling through Montpelier. Yellow Mustard came highly recommended. My wife and I ordered two things - a Cuban panini and a Rancho Bernardo wrap. Both were absolutely superb. Serving size was generous, prices were very reasonable, and the service was simply amazing. The very personable gentleman who made these for us came out from behind the counter to ask us how we liked our meals and said he wanted to be sure that we were delighted with what he had made. His was so genuine and so pleasant that this added to our experience. Both my wife and I remarked that we were enjoying the best sandwiches and wraps that we had ever found in a deli.....anywhere! If we lived anywhere in the area, we would undoubtedly be regular customers at Yellow Mustard.. We usually don't take the time to review restaurants, but the praise that we are expressing herein is well deserved. Try it - you'll love it!

I actually drove an hour out of my way just to get this maple creemee -- I had visited a few years ago and had been dreaming about it ever since. Thankfully, it did not disappoint. The maple creemee was incredible -- unbelievably delicious, rich, and perfectly creamy with an authentic maple flavor that completely lives up to the hype. Easily one of the best maple treats you'll find anywhere. The maple syrup tasting was both informative and fun. The staff did a fantastic job explaining the different syrup grades and flavor profiles, and it was fascinating to taste how much they vary. Everything felt fresh, high-quality, and clearly made with care. The grounds themselves are beautiful, especially in winter. With a deep blanket of snow covering the landscape, the farm felt peaceful, scenic, and exactly what you hope for when visiting Vermont in February. If you're anywhere near Montpelier or Barre, Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks is absolutely worth the stop -- for the experience, the views, and one unforgettable maple creemee.

Bought some of their delicious maple syrup, a couple regular bottles and a verity pack. We got a couple creamees nice on a humid day. Went out and about and watched an educational video on how they get the sap from the trees. There is some equipment in that same area which is cool to see. It's Very rustic surroundings, you can tell this is where hard work is done. We walked on the trail to see how the hoses run down from the trees to the barn gathering the sap from the trees. Wishing them nothing but the best with their up coming season for their business.

This trip, we enjoyed a milkshake, Skinny Fries (they were out of poutine), Noah's Ark, and Breakfast Monster. The house bbq sauce was chosen to accompany the fries: not my favorite bbq sauce; the fries were crispy and well salted. I hope to try the poutine on another visit. Noah's Ark was a nice blend of sweet and savory. The sausage was ok, but probably would try another meat choice next time. For pesto lovers, the Monster will really scratch that itch! Overall a good experience worth repeating. See you next time...

I haven't been to a Skinny Pancake since I received the devastating no-more-gluten-for-me news, so I was glad to see that they have a buckwheat crepe option for us gluten-free dweebs. I ordered the apple & brie crepe. I was informed that the hash purples go into a shared fryer, so they're not totally gluten-free. I accepted my future stomachache & ordered them anyways, because they've always been my favorite item on the menu. Service was friendly & prompt. Find a table, order at the counter, & they'll bring your food to you. The hash purples were totally delightful, as expected. 5 star color, too. The crepe was unfortunately very underwhelming. It was super thick & the texture was kinda ominous. I didn't end up finishing it. They might just need to tweak their gluten-free batter slightly to get the balance right. I believe in them (: Overall a fun lunch spot in the marvelous capital of Vermont.

He had asked for some of our favorite dishes and foods, and using just a few examples he was able to design a creative and diverse menu that had us practically licking the plates by the end. It was so wonderful to be able to relax with our families instead of having to stress about not only cooking a full meal for 8 people, but planning the menu itself. Both of our families being cheese lovers, he started us out with a beautiful, locally-sourced arrangement of cheeses complete with herbed butter and artisan bread and crackers, along with dozens of fresh oysters. Some of our favorite dishes consisted of the brown butter lobster buns with old bay aioli and lemon (Will also made a vegetarian version of this with cherry tomatoes for one of our family members); hanger steak with chimichurri, peppers, and onions; and a Parisienne gnocchi with freshly foraged mushrooms, baby kale, and dijon crème fraîche. Everything was perfectly cooked and each dish had such a unique flavor profile so that the entire meal truly felt like one exciting journey. We especially loved the carrot cake with cardamom cream cheese for dessert, which had us going back for third helpings. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful of a time we all had, and we would just like to thank Will again for such a magical evening. He is not only incredibly professional and accommodating, but very easy going and a pleasure to be around for your special event.
