I haven't eaten in there, but food and groceries are always very good quality. A nice alternative to a supermarket

We visited Vermont for Labor Day weekend and came here to get a sandwich but ended up buying groceries instead! Lots of choices from local Vermont and New Hampshire farms. I even saw my all time favorite caramel sauce = Fat Toad made with goat´s milk. We ended up getting several local cheeses, ciders and beers, and meat from nearby farms. Staff were friendly and even helped me out to my car cause I had too many bags to carry on my own. Next time we are in town, I will be sure to stop by during the hours the deli is open to try one of their yummy looking sandwiches. read more

Absolutely incredible sandwiches and staff. There isn't anything on the menu that isn't great. Sandwiches are piled HIGH with meat and constructed with care. Added bonus is they have a decent selection of "nicer" foodstuffs, but I do find the refrigerated desserts to be hit or miss, but mostly a miss. It's my go-to for lunch, but would be an outstanding lunch/snack stop from the highway. read more

The building in an old railroad depot. The bottom floor is a minimart with mostly local items. There's a counter to order food with a decent sized menu. If you want to eat there I'm pretty sure the only seating is upstairs. I got a soup with wheat noodles and marinated pork. It was a cold wet day out so I thought it was fitting. The soup was decent with a fair amount of veggies and pork. The broth was good. The veggies were crispy. I don't like sludge, over cooked veggies but these were a little on the al dente side for me. There was also an egg cut in half in the soup. I've never had a pickled egg but I hope that's what this was. Otherwise it was a burnt hard boiled egg that tasted kind of funky. There aren't many options in Randolph. If I was back in the area I'd be okay with going back but I'm probably not going to go out of my way. read more

Cute little small town market and brunch restaurant. I ordered eggs Benedict, not only were there gluten free options but they didn't upcharge me for gf bread!! Such a rarity in the gluten free dining experience. (I hear in Italy they give out stipends to anybody with gluten or dairy allergies... this is America's next best thing- no upcharge). They had staples and boutique items. I bought a cute new handmade face mask for $6. The staff are friendly, real, and seem genuinely happy working here. We stopped here for lunch on our way to Burlington based on the reviews. Once again Yelp did not steer us wrong. This is a small organic/natural food store with a small deli. My husband ordered the Roast Beef with fresh veggies, my daughter had a grilled cheese and I had the raw veggie wrap with hummus. All of our sandwiches were fresh and delicious. OMG!!!! This place is AMAZING!!! We come up to visit my in-laws three times a year from New Jersey and every time we need to travel away from the area to find food. This time around to decide to visit the Chefs Market and were all left in shock on how amazing the food tasted. I had the open-faced steak sandwich and it completely rocks my tastebuds it was the complete opposite of what I thought it was going to be (Philly style steak sandwich) it was a tender steak topped with pepper and onion and cheese. No joking around, I was left extremely impressed. My mother had the lobster roll that was also amazing. She said it was the best she's had and she is an avid lobster roll aficionado (no picture because she eats the entire thing before I could take a picture) My daughter's grilled cheese sandwiches was also incredible. The combination of cheeses was perfection (see the picture of her eating the entire thing.) I will definitely be coming here again, I want to try the other sandwich on the menu. RUDE-is an understatement for staff. Called the day before to order lunch for pick up was told "they don't take pre-orders you must order day of because orders get lost ." Mayeb need to work on process improvement..... Called day of to order for 1130 they said" it will be ready in 10 minutes we can't have it ready for a certain time." I can't even grasp that statement . How can you not plan service for a certain time ??? Previously called to order lunch for my team and they told me that it was "expected " to leave a tip .... I always generously tip but when a take out place demands it I am less inclined to want to. I used to go here occasionally when I was a kid, but hadn't for many years. I came with my girlfriend to get the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and we got our order quickly, and at a great price for the quantity of food. The grilled cheese was delicious and filling, and came with salad and potato chips. The tomato soup was the best I've ever had, I would recommend that if you go here, you should get it! read more

Avoid the angry brunette! She'll make you hate humanity. Used to like getting food there, but it is not worth the brusque NYC-style service AND prices. This hidden gem has AMAZING breakfast and lunch sandwiches. You order at the deli and its made fresh upon ordering. I seriously cannot get enough of this place. Prices are reasonable. $5-$9 for a sandwich. It's also a small market for super fresh local food. If you're in the area do not hesitate to stop here. Well we just moved up here from Northern Virginia and I've been going to Hunger Mountain Coop or the large coop in white River Junction- sad to say I didn't know about Chefs Market until just a few days ago but super happy I went today!!! Angel and Victor were wonderfully warm and friendly staff. Angel helped me pick a great Pinot for dinner and found her extremely knowledgeable with wine, beer and overall store products!!! This is a great venue and 3 of our meals were very good: 2 omelets and one eggs romanoff. My french toast was a huge disappointment. Menu says: Local baked Challah bread soaked in french toast batter with fresh fruit, VT maple syrup, whipped butter, served with home fries. The fruit was not fresh...it was frozen strawberries therefore wet strawberries on top of 3 delicious slices of really good bread/ french toast. That made the fr toast soggy with red juice floating all over the plate. Home fries were a small potato sliced in half, and browned on the cut side, topped with carmelized onions and red pepper. NOT home fries. I had to get another plate, rescue my 3 slices before they were totally drowned. They were quite good. Everything else including bacon was soaked in strawberry juice. Interesting that my husband's eggs romanov came with a generous helping of FRESH Fruit...blueberries and strawberries. I spoke with a worker near our table about my dish. She returned and said we are sorry. Really? Not worth the $12 price. read more

Went there today to meet 4 friends for outside dining. Paid for my 15$ lunch and set outside in cold rainy weather but it was all worth it to see my friends again! Went back inside after being chilled to get a nice hot coffee and nooo after making my coffee and feeling the warmth in my cold hands the cashier said it was a 10$ minimum to use my debit card again. So needless to say I had to set the coffee on the counter and walk away. I did look for something else to buy to equal 10 but seeing that I was just a patron who set outside eating lunch at this establishment for 2 hours it was just as well to walk away. SMH read more

Nice replacement for the White River Co-op which closed several years ago. A diverse selection of food products, much local produce in the summer, and picnic tables so you can eat one of their yummy sandwiches outside. They also do some special orders which is nice. read more
