We had our daughters birthday party here. Prior to the party I called to ask about Gluten free…read moreoptions. I was told they had hotdogs, french fries, and pizza. So I pre-ordered a pizza (along with the gorilla for other guests). The day we arrived, told "no gluten free pizza was available" so we ordered hot dogs and fries...told as the pizza's were being served "oh, no fries as it is broken". So our daughter had 2 hot dogs while everyone else enjoyed pizza (was told we could not order in a gluten free option). We booked the party and were given 10 passes, we also had 5 coupons for free entry. We told the front desk to use the 10 birthday passes first, that way we could use the coupons at a later date. When we left, they had 5 passes left and no coupons...they gave those first and refused to change this. We spent well over $300 for this party. Not once did we get "How did we do?" to follow up. Very disappointed. Good place to go if you are just going swimming, do not book a party here.

We went and experienced the Lagoon on the 3rd of July which is when TI was doing their fireworks and the hotel was completely sold out, so it was certainly busy with everyone decked out in their red, white and blue. We changed in our room as we had read there is no locker room and the lockers are paid lockers (confirmed that). My husband was excited about the swim up bar so we headed to the adults only section which is really amazing when there are a lot of kids. To get into the lagoon as a hotel guest, we needed our IDs so they could match us to our room and give us our wristbands. After you go sign waivers on ipads right around the corner. This got a little congested as there was a mix of technology users and all the Ipads were on a table and everyone stood at the table. They had free towels to use which was really appreciated, they are not big by any means but towels provided is fantastic. We dropped our coverups and shoes in a corner in the adult section which is what most people appeared to do. We spent the majority of the time in the swim up bar. The water was very comfortable. They had a assortment of canned drinks and 2 cocktails that were on draft (strawberry margs and blue razz lemonade). No mixed drinks or anything else. There was only 1 bartender working plus a bar back and she was getting worked for sure. When we were closing out 2 others were coming in. They only take cards and you can not charge to your room which seemed to create a lot of confusion since I think a lot of people wanted to charge to their rooms. We wanted to go the lazy river and there were enough tubes, however with the volume of kids in the river, we opted to just stay in the swim up bar for this trip. They had a pool you could splash around in, adult only hot tubs, lazy river, splash area for the littles and water slides, so really there is something for everyone.

They also sell some boxed snacks, which were on the pricier side for what it was (gummies, nerds and animal crackers), canned alcohol (no shots) and drinks. Great way to kill some time, just don't look too closely at the color of the water if you took photos and were in the area with kids because it's real green.

They are open on holidays when some community pools are closed. The locker rooms and showers are pretty good, but no private changing areas at all. The waterslide is THE BOMB. A+++ for that waterslide. A good little kids area, fun climbing floating things, the lily pad ropes course is a hit. But. Cold water = we only stay about 60-90 minutes. Which honestly is enough. And also, my big kids dont care. The littlest one and the adults get cold. We've only gone during winter, so maybe its not as much of an issue during warmer months. The lockers take quarters only, no change machine on site, but the teens running the concession stand will probably make change.

Drove a quite a ways to get here, celebrating my daughter's birthday. What a wash, it was very disappointing. Pool was disgusting, bouncy house was nasty however they did enjoy the go karts. It was a cold, nasty and the facility such a disappointment. Great thing we had backup plans. I wouldn't come back.

They do charge for parking passes. We were prepared to pay $16 for our non- resident vehicle ( they do have the prices on their website). To our delight, since we were attending a family reunion at the only covered pavilion on the island, our parking was just $5! Plenty of parking, bathrooms aren't a far walk fe the pavilion (& they're clean!). Playground is adequate. The water area for play seemed a lot bigger when I was younger & attended reunions here. Water was calm but gorgeous!

If you don't bring canoes or kayaks, you can rent some from the park office for a minimal fee. Highly recommend exploring the island from the water. Way cool. The campsites are all pretty flat (perfect for pitching tents) and all have fire pits with good moveable cooking grates. Both nights we were there had a good breeze so the bugs were non-existent which was amazing considering we camped right next to the water. The park also has several short well-maintained trails to explore . Will definitely be returning.

That waterslide with the lights and music? Awesome! It's a one of a kind experience. Beyond the waterpark the playground was also great. It's not your average playground; it's big, well designed and has tons of opportunities for kids to explore and play. What really makes Shoreview Community Center stand out is the community. They offer so much more than just a pool and playground. From the fitness center to the skatepark they have created a space for all interests and ages. It's clear they have invested in making a valuable resource for everyone.

Bamboo Bay is much louder than the main pool area due to the fact it's more enclosed and there are sprayers with lots of water all over. The lifeguards do a great job of keeping their eyes on the kiddos cause it can get very very packed in both pool areas and kids of all different ages including adults too! The bathrooms and lockers are great and all facilities are pretty new and kept clean. I do love the spinner to spin clothes after swim time... As a side note, if you're like me and just hung out with other parents while the kiddos swam...it can get very very hot and humid so dress accordingly even in the winter time!
