They helped me manage her thyroid issues which gave her 5 more great years with me. They saved her from a life threatening infection that gave her 4 more great years with me. They sat there with me and worked with me while I cried about trying to afford all of her care on my own. They truly truly care about your pets here. When I graduated and was semi less broke that kindness never stopped. I lost her on Monday and just picked up her ashes from them today and was met again with nothing but kindness, literally willing to stay open late to make sure I could get there on time. However after my cat rapidly lost half her bodyweight and was obviously very boney and barely eating 40cal/d which I communicated, I was told she was a healthy weight with some mild anemia and elevated liver enzymes and to try an IBD diet for 8 weeks. Even at a follow up visit where I said she hadn't eaten in two days and throwing up repeatedly I wasn't advised to go to the ER and was told to be more consistent with the food prescribed despite her not eating it at all. Within two weeks of the initial appointment she passed from large cell lymphoma after not eating for nearly a week and unable to swallow pills to calm her for the final exams. I rushed her to a different vet 10 days following IBD treatment who said her liver enzymes from the original test were very bad and her X-ray from this vet was overexposed and unsuitable for analysis. She had me in the ER after 5 minutes. By the time she was diagnosed she was too far deteriorated to start treatment and was euthanized at home as peacefully as possible after days on an empty stomach. She was sweet and dignified to the end but was suffering immensely when you consider the circumstances. I do not understand how that rapid of weight loss & no appetite did not trigger more urgency from this vet & am frustrated about being misleadingly reassured about her weight loss and "mild" test results while there was still weeks to react. I was told her excessively protruding spine and pelvis was healthy. Had the situation been properly assessed we could have had enough time to start chemo and give her more peaceful final days. If your gut is telling you the diagnosis is outlandish be sure to follow it. This was a 4 year old cat. I was not aware of large cell lymphoma, the deterioration timeline and that all food intake can quickly stop and destroy your options. These are the risks I expect the vet to communicate immediately rather than put her on a fail first treatment plan suitable for mild weight loss. I had a better innate grasp of the urgency and better diagnostic intuition on my own after only several days of research and should have immediately ignored this vet and gone to the ER. Even AI was better at respecting all my observations and lab results. The level of grief I have right now is unbearable.

When I complained, he told me to find another Veterinarian in a roundabout manner claiming in two letters on office stationary that he was ending his practice. I visited his office today, 8/21/23. Staff stated that he sent me a letter stating that I needed to find another Veterinarian, ( a bare faced lie).

Made a appointment with Faithful friends to do a small Mass removal on my small dog. I dropped her…read moreoff when I went back to pick her up at 4:00. The vet that worked on her came out and told me after he closed her up the first time she was still bleeding real bad. He had to go back in and put her to sleep and open her up the second time. So I had to sit and wait an extra hour for her to wake up off the anesthesia. When they brought her out to me they had her in some kind of suit. The lady was carrying her and she said it was a space suit. She said she would carry her to my truck and they had raped her and she told me to take the bandages off. When I got home that night I took the bandages off. I couldn't believe my eyes. I never seen anything so bad in my whole life. She was so swollen and bruised in between. Her two back legs was so swelled. They look like giant blood blisters. They gave me enough meds for 7 days and and said rest. I stayed with her in my bedroom around the clock and kept icing her down. When I called and said how swelled she was that's what they told me to do after a week and a half bleeding had never stopped. It wasn't real bad thick drops but steady and then it got a little worse and he told me to put a Band-Aid on her so I was using big band needs. Every time I took one off it was so filled with blood. I couldn't believe it. So I took. I called and said she was in pain and I need it more medicine. I'm still thinking well. Some swelling went down and don't look as bad. I was praying she'd be okay. They told me I would have to bring her in to get the medicine so I did why there? I told him bleeding never stop. Is she bled on their floor where I was sittinI told the lady at the receptionist she went and got a mop and mopped it up. They gave me more meds and told me the same thing. Rest and I left within 21 days from surgery to the day she bled out and died in my arms. I left another review. It would be the first review and I put pictures with it but it looked like things were changed around and it was set so I added it and I'm rewriting it now. I don't know if They'll let me post pictures to show you how bad it was. I called there said I would like to talk to the vet that did the mass removal on my dog. She passed away and they said they were so sorry and they would have him call me a week. Maybe a little over a week later. He called. I told him you went in twice. You had to do something wrong the first time for her to bleed like that for you to go back in the second time. He called me delusional and asked me can I prove it? I got pictures of before I brought her there and look great and I got pictures when they were done with her she looked so bad he had to know something was wrong for him to opened her up twice. He just prolonged her death. She suffered for 21 days before her passing. He told me the second time he went in. He tied everything off and she'd be okay. Just rest and medicine from surgery to the day she passed was exactly 21 days. I googled it about if a vet opens the dog up twice and it told me that yes that's not good. I experience that should know better and if she died within 21 days that's why she died because she was opened up twice. If you would have just told me the first time before he opened her up the second time because everybody makes a mistake that he hits something and couldn't stop the bleeding and had to know she was going to pass away. He just let her suffer. I would have just had her put down so she didn't suffer. I am very hurt that he has denied anything to do with her passing. I'm very mad. He opened her up twice. Never asked me. Could he go back in twice or did I want him to go back in? He just did it on his own. I lost my best friend my companion. She was all I had. She went everywhere with me and did everything together. She is very missed. I'm lost . and he still hasn't taken responsibility for what happened to her. I believe he's mean and selfish and knowing she was going to pass and he let her suffer for the 21 days. All I've done is cry. I can't believe I took her for a small Mass removal to make sure she was okay and I was so happy to go get her and then he came out and told me he had it open her twice and when I took her him and seen her it was the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. I had to watch my dog suffer for 21 days. Why he was in denial until her death? Dr Quin did the surgery I'm not from PA in from Newcastle Delaware.
