We spent a weekend at the Wakomata Shores Resort at the peak of fall foliage season. The colors were superb, more impressive than Vermont. All the resort's cabins are on the lakefront. We were in the Aspen and had unobstructed views of the lake and island. The spa and sauna were nearby. Firewood for the wood stove was plentiful and included in the price of the cabin.
There was a full kitchen but we ate at the onsite Country Kitchen Restaurant. Selection of food was very good considering how out of the way the resort is. Rogers chili was great and I have not doubt it could win awards in any chili cookoff.
Boats, motors, mountain bikes and atv's are available. The resort is open all year and the cabins are available on a daily or weekly basis. Most others in the area rent only by the week read more
