We didn't need a reservation, even during the Messe. Good for large parties. Let me first say, SAVE ROOM FOR THE FRIED APPLE RINGS!!! ie: even if the soup calls your name, do not order it! You won't have room for dessert. I warned you. Everything was delicious and traditional. I'm a fan of the standard Frankfurter Schnitzel with Grüne Soße (green sauce - which is made from 7 fresh herbs and blended with yogurt and sour cream. You can't get it anywhere but Frankfurt.) Every dessert we ordered was fabulous, but those fried apple slices with ice cream was like eating a not-too-sweet apple pie filling but with a whole apple slice, in a thick batter, then fried. I'm salivating just thinking about it again. No joke. If you don't mind getting away from Frankfurt city, this is an easy Uber/taxi ride.
