This is a really nice Walgreens and I enjoy shopping here. Front store is very friendly and organized and the pharmacy team are always helpful. I'm reading other customer reviews and it seems like there's this misconception of how generic medications are substituted. It's also always labeled on the package that a substitution was made. They filled generic medicine than we were using and when called them to change it to one we were using they are saying ok to take generic without our consent. please double check you medication before u take it, esp this Aldie Walgreens. They did not take return even though it was their issue. read more

This is by far the worst Walgreens I have ever had to deal with. I only come to Walgreens because my insurance partners with them and requires me to. This pharmacy is severely understaffed, which is not the fault of the staff that is working, but the staff that is working is so rude and dismissive. I've been told on numerous occasions in person that they are "too busy to deal with" my prescriptions or call the pharmacist line or doctor, and have advised me to instead go to another Walgreens. Again, I understand being busy and understaffed, but all that says to me is that other patients are more important than I am, or that they don't want to actually do their job. I have had issues with this store for years prior to the staffing shortage. They are constantly under stocked and understaffed. If you try to call the pharmacy, you'll sit on hold for over an hour and then get hung up on, or get no one. If I could switch pharmacies I would, but I don't have the option due to insurance. If you can avoid this pharmacy, I would. read more

I received an email with a store coupon $9 off $40, it said "clipped" I wasn't sure what that meant. I called customer service and the representative said that the coupon was on my card. I went to Walgreens within the hour. My purchase was about $50, I asked the cashier about the $9 off and she called the store manager. I showed him my phone and told him I talked to CS and he told me I couldn't use it. I got home and called CS again and asked about the coupon again and this one told me she didn't see one therefore there wasn't one. This is just one example why I do not go to Walgreens! read more

This Walgreens is bright, clean and convenient. The retail side seems to be more than adequate for the neighborhood with things kept neat, orderly and easy to find. The retail staff is friendly enough. The pharmacy is another story, that is if you are old-fashioned as I am and think that pharmacies should be accurate. With a single exception, every transaction has been a fiasco here - and I take a LOT of prescriptions. A simple renewal takes about a week and this is not an exception - common drugs, online ordering and at least a dozen experiences over the past 2 yrs. Usually, it takes 2 days before they actually fill the Rx, then send me emails to tell me that it is ready. I call to verify (after repeatedly finding out that the Rx isn't really ready). When I show up - not ready, Rude Pharmacy staff and more delays A couple months ago I had an order that had been there over a week, and I was out - an urgent situation. I called about a half-hour before closing to ensure that I could pick up the following day. The pharmacist encouraged me to drive down immediately, that she would wait for me. What a dope I was to fall for that one. Of course the place was locked up when I arrived 25 minutes after hanging up the phone. I've been taking the same meds for 15 yrs and never have has it taken so many calls an emails to get a simple refill. On top of that, this place treats me like they are entitled to my business and I should comply to their model. The questions are: 1. Why do I keep going there? 2. Is it incompetence or something more sinister? 3. How does this pharmacy keep it's license? This is a lovely store and a great location. The store has many features not frequently found in a pharmacy - soda fountain, hot coffee, Red Box, etc. It is a great store, if you do not value accuracy and respect with regard to your prescriptions. read more

A horrible place to get any kind of vaccines. unprofessional staff at the pharmacy and inefficient time management. I had an appt at 2:15 and arrived at 2. I had to wait for over an hour to get my vaccine. the manager says there is nothing that he can do help. No wonder it explains their customer base preferring other locations. read more

This review is specifically for the pharmacy. I always have issues when I pick up my monthly prescriptions. I always get calls or texts when my prescriptions are ready yet, when I go to pick them up, they are never ready. The pharmacy is terrible. The pharmacists are not helpful and are not prompt with their service. I transferred all my prescriptions to Walmart, of all places, and they have been amazing. My prescriptions are always ready on time and never have any issue with price or insurance coverage. read more

I love how every time I walk into this store there is a bounty of new merchandise to browse. I usually am able to find what I need which saves me a trip to the new Wally World or Target. The staff is alway super helpful and eager to assist you in finding what ever you are looking for. The prices can be on the higher stuff if it's not on sale but for a neighborhood store and the convenience, I will happily pay it. read more

I really need to take a minutes and reconize an employee at the Stone Ridge, VA Walgreens for exemplary, outstanding, above and beyond customer service. I just literally spent half an hour on the phone with a young lady named Selome. My daughter dropped off her prescription ( new) to be filled. I called to just provide Walgreens with a co-pay card information bc she didn't have it when she dropped it off. I thought co-pay cards save money so I wanted to apply it to this script. Salome patiently took the information. located the script that wasn't entered yet bc they are super busy and then entered it , applied the co-pay card, told me the balance due....... $$$$$ it was much more expensive than I was expecting and NOT the $4 on the card........ I then asked her to try it without the copay card, just sent to insurance....... Keep in mind that I just had her spend a ton of time doing it the first way...... she was happy to help me and was just so polite and professional about it. Ultimately, it was cheaper to not bother with the card and just submit to insurance. Heres the thing, so many people are so quick to be annoyed that you asked them to do something and then change your mind and have them do it the way they were going to before you butted into it and screwed it up.... but this lady wasn't. She was happy to be helping me and you could tell that she truly cared about getting me the best possible care ( price). I very much appreciate her willingness and the effort that she put into my call - she could have rushed me along or been snippy about all of it but she wasn't. She was compassionate and caring and respectful. She's an A+ employee and truly demonstrated perfect communication and compassionate care. Her kindness made a difference in my day. Salome - I work in healthcare and I would be honored to have people like YOU on my team - you did a great job handling this "difficult" customer. Thank you for going the extra mile for me! I live on a very average, $8/month non-controlled medication, and this pharmacy is typically out of stock of it every month. I am so frustrated with them constantly being out of it. They told me I should start trying to fill it 10 days early every month. No, the solution is that you have it in stock please. I'm having surgery in a week and they have 2 of the 5 medications that I'm required to bring with me to surgery out of stock. I shouldn't have to try to get these meds TWO WEEKS in advance of surgery and still not know if I will have them in time. Please, people need their prescriptions, and chronic illness is hard enough to live with, and this pharmacy makes it even harder, which is frustrating and depressing. It's very stressful to wonder every month of my medication will be in stock. read more

I have been trying to use this pharmacy, but it is difficult, at best. Recent experiences: 5 out of 10 prescriptions not in stock and had to be "ordered" which required multiple visits, 2-3 customers in line on almost every visit, staff that is unsure what is in stock, prepaying for RX's, but not being able to pick up in drive thru because "that service is not available at the drive thru"... which means....I can't send someone to get my RX when I am too sick to drive unless that person is willing to go inside and wait in their LINE! And.....prescriptions filled with the wrong prescribing doctor on my he label...YES...a totally different doctor AND medical group ordered a medication that I had been prescribed a year previously and the old doctor was printed in my new label! I feel like I'm in a third world country going to this Walgreens and I have no faith that they will get my medication correct. read more

Going to this Walgreens was the worst experience I have ever had. My sister and I went to this location to return a couple cosmetic items I had purchased a few weeks prior. I did not have the receipt, and I was fully aware I could not get cash back. I told the lady at the register, who's name was Pat that store credit was all I was expecting since I knew I didn't have the receipt. As soon as I said I did not have the receipt she immediately accused me of stealing the items. She said I had no proof that I actually purchased the items. She then called the manager over and told him the same thing, and then she refused to process the return. I was shocked! I have never been so insulted, and just couldn't believe an employee would make this accusation. Returns are made all the time without receipts, so I'm not sure why this was such an issue. And I don't know why her first thought was that the items were stolen. I did not appreciate being accused of stealing, so I just left. From the beginning Pat had an unfriendly attitude with me, I have never had such an unpleasant encounter with someone before. And I have definitely not ever been accused of stealing something I did in fact purchase. The whole situation was unbelievable. read more

I guess I should start by saying I'm not a big fan of walmarts. I tried this store trying to find something in particular. Very clean and inviting. I picked up a few things as I attempted to find what I was looking for before asking for assistance. Everything seemed a little pricier then elsewhere. When I did start asking for assistance, either employees didn't know or would send me to the other side of the store, only to be sent back again later. I use this pharmacy only for convenience, as it's the closest pharmacy in Aldie (the CVS is down the road in Stone Ridge, and I'm partial to the drie thru. I go in only when necessary, and prepare myself to be overcharged for the simplest of things. As far as the pharmacy goes, I CANNOT WAIT to have another closer option, and am switching my entire profile to another pharmacy. I try to only use the automated system, get my text that the script is ready, and go through the drive through, for convenience. Just recently, I've had a lapse in insurance for a month, and now the trouble began. I was texted twice that my script was ready, and each time sent through the ring around with the manager Salome coming each time to give a different story. I was sent back and forth three times now. Each time they have changed stories, and treated me as an unwelcome and needy prescription seeker, even though I only came a) when I received a text that the script was ready, b) when I was told to pick up. I was then told "after I told my manager you complained, we discussed and reviewed your profile - you still have some at home so come back tomorrow". I have been with Walgreen's in Gainesville for years with no issue, but this is one place I will travel to just so as not to be treated so disrespectfully!!! Unacceptable!
