I call them with a kind attitude very professional just trying to see if I got my refill on my medication and they answer me rudely now I don't know if their having a bad day but I just don't understand why they are very rude but that's on me for going to them . read more

It's very difficult to call in a prescription for a patient at this location. This option is not on the original phone tree. You have to trick the phone tree into letting you leave prescribing information. You really have to be persistent. If for some reason you try to speak to someone, they put you on hold and try to shuffle you off to someone else, over and over again. Nobody gets it. read more

I was a long time loyal Walgreens customer. I've been using them for at least the last 30 years for my prescriptions. Even when my husband used a different pharmacy, I stuck with them. Not anymore though. I'm done with them. The Alvin Walgreens pharmacy is absolutely horrible. The phone system sends you in circles until the employees have no choice but to pick up, only for them to place you right back on hold without even speaking to you. Then, if you happen to be the unlucky customer in line, they will pick it up again and hang up on you. This isn't an accident, it's happening way too many times. My husband has tried calling too and has had the same results. Also, they never have your prescriptions ready in a timely manner. Never. Apparently they don't keep many common drugs in the store anymore, as they usually tell you to come back tomorrow. When your doctor calls in antibiotics, you clearly need them today. And forget trying to go on your lunch break. They close for lunch. I understand they need to eat like the rest of us, but somehow our jobs manage to get coverage at lunchtime. You don't see many other businesses in town closing down at lunch. But I guess you have to have someone competent in charge of scheduling. read more

At 04113, located in Alvin I was hired January 20th 2025 as a Beauty and Wellness Consultant, fired March 5th 2025. My availability is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11-7. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays I was off. March 4th I was scheduled to come in at 11Am. I wasn't supposed to come in on the 4th (Tuesday) because it was outside my availability to begin with. Despite that, I made arrangements for my child to be picked up and taken care of so that I could accommodate the schedule my boss (Christina Rivera) set up for me. I left at 10Am, and made it to work around 10:30Am. I waited till it was 10:55Am to walk inside the store to clock in for my shift. When I approached the door there were two papers taped to each of the door stating "store temporary closed due to power outage". I had received no call, email, or txt from my employer notifying me that the store was closed nor did she give me any kind of instruction as to what to do in this kind of situation. There was a customer approaching the doors and I spent about 10-15 minutes explaining what the sign said, during this time I didn't see anyone in the building from outside and proceeded to go home. This was the second time that the store was temporarily closed due to weather issues, the first time was during the freeze (about my first week of employment) and no one reached out to notify me then that the store was closed. With no clear instruction I went home, the following day ( March 5th 2025) I came to work at the same time as the previous day and the store was open. About an hour and a half into my shift I was called into the office, Christina Rivera told me she had warned me about my attendance ( I called in my first time because a family member was passing away, second time was no call no show due to being sick) and due to that they were going to have to let me go and asked me what happened to the day before (March 4th 2025). I explained my situation, and told her no one notified me and that I had indeed showed up to work and in fact it was 30 minutes prior to my scheduled time. She then proceeded to tell me I could of called the store (how am I supposed to do that when there is no power in the store and therefore no way for anyone to pick up?) and then said I could of googled to see if they were open (that would contraindicate what the sign said and google is not always a 100% right when it comes to if the store is really open or closed sometimes) then she said I was supposed to just slide the door open, but again no one told me I was supposed to do that. Finally I just told her what am I even supposed to think when there is two written signs on the door stating the store was temporarily closed due to the power outage? After that, Christina Rivera said she would talk with HR and decide from there if I was going to be terminated. After that I cried a little and spent about 15 minutes trying to get it together before getting called back into the office. This time she had another person come into the office with me ( Alma Giona). Christina Rivera then stated that because the sign said "temporarily closed" that it meant that it was opening up later on that day, how am I supposed to assume that is what the sign meant? I have no idea, but I do know that it didn't feel right at all. She has my number, email, she could of reached out to notify me of what was going on and to tell me what to do. I've never been in a situation where the employer failed to notify an employee of what to do in this situation. I believe it was wrongful termination based on the miscommunication on Christina Riveras end. I made accommodations for a day I wasn't even supposed to be scheduled for and got there on time. I give them one star, ordered meds on the 1st of June tech said it would be there on Monday the 3 then they said insurance didn't approve call my insurance it was approved on the first when I ask for a refill now on the 4th said it didn't come in from central office so now they saying it may be in on the 5th but can't guarantee it will come in. What has happened to Walgreens they were never like this, been with them forever I guess it's time for a change. read more

I checked in here while getting a prescription filled and was surprised by all the 1 star reviews. I've used this pharmacy for years and haven't had any issues with customer service or prescriptions. The cashiers and staff I've encountered have all been friendly. I use the text message alerts for any prescriptions when they're due and it lets me know when to refill, pick up, or when something is delayed. The only negatives for this location is that it probably needs to be renovated since it's such an old building and the pharmacy area seems pretty small. And since that area is small, the waiting area and line gets crowded. read more

Don't think they could hire a more incompetent group of people at the pharmacy. Somehow despite going there monthly they always manage to "not have insurance on file" and then even after being given an insurance card they still can't make it work which leads to having to pay out of pocket more often than not because they're too incompetent to do their jobs. read more

This Walgreens has the only ATM near me that has no fees for one of my banks. My biggest problem with Walgreens is the same problem at all of them. I just wish I could use a regular pharmacist like I could in Baytown. Unfortunately, my insurance is only accepted by Walgreens here :( read more

Do not use the photo department here. The first time I used them the photos all printed wrong and they didn't even look and gave them to me. The second time I was there to get my passport photo. The woman helping me uploaded the photo she took of me to the kiosk and put it in an application that checked to make sure it was okay to use for a passport. Two of the areas were yellow and said "check" but she continued on. I figured she knew what she was doing so I didn't say anything. I just got all my passport documents mailed back to me saying they couldn't accept the photo. $15 down the drain and now I have to pay to expedite my passport. read more

I've tried this giving this Walgreens plenty of chances for my prescriptions. I've had 4 things filled here and I'm always having issues. When I call the person on the other line is always rude. Doesn't matter who picks up. This last RX they told me would be ready at 12 because they were waiting on one medication to come in. Waited till the next day to find out they ordered it and actually wouldn't get there till Tuesday. ( this all happened on a Thursday) definitely will be switching pharmacies. I can't deal with feeling sick and then going there to be treated like crap. Hopefully they work on their customer service. read more

Called in a new script yesterday and they said they would have it ready today by 8am. Went to go pick it up at 3:30pm and was told my insurance doesn't cover it, I need to call my insurance and ask them what prescriptions would be covered then call my doctor to request it. Went online that night and downloaded coupon for the original script, if it works it'll drop script from over $200 / month to just $25/ month. Called and was on hold 10 min to just be told they don't take coupons over the phone, it's only done in person. So I have to drive the 20 min there to find out if the coupon works and if not I would have to call insurance then the doctor. So if it didn't work then I just wasted my time -and gas to drive there when it would've taken 3 min top to input the coupon info. I work at a drs office, we call with coupon codes all the time to see if we should change a script for a patient or sample them because that medication works. I would've gladly waited on hold longer than having to load up the kids and make the 20 min drive. read more

I love this Walgreen just hate they have to cut from 24 to 12 hours a day I was glad that when they were 24 and need a med fell they were open now I have find another 24 hour place if I end up like that but I'm glad they have a grate place and grate staff and just wish they stade 24 hours read more

The staff is friendly, but the pharmacy part is not real efficient. They have a drive thru pharmacy as well as walk up and after 5pm you are waiting 30 or more minutes to get your prescription. The food is expensive but you can sometimes find good deals on clearance items. 4 out of 5 because their friendliness makes up a little for the inefficiency. read more

Never had a good experience here. Without getting into it I would say avoid coming at all costs. It usually has a line super long since it is understaffed, used the pharmacy multiple times and they either dont have the prescription or tell you a time it will be filled and you come back and it still isn't ready. Also tried to order my bridal portraits here and they told me they couldnt print because I dont have photographers copyright paperwork. THEY ARENT PROFESSIONAL. Hence, why there is no watermark or sign of ownership on them. Very annoying but I never complained, will just take business elsewhere. :/ read more

I pray that yall read this this review and fix the problems and attitudes of your employees,I have all my prescriptions sent to pharmacy,there is always new help in pharmacy that need an attitude adjustment,they may be taking notes from a long time employee not to mention names but she is afican american that doesn't want to help with questions,concerns and very sarcastic.also Your store lines are always so long,you close at 11 now and yall used to be all nite, since yall close early seems to be so hectic in there during the afternoon hours and 4/5 with only one line open.your prices are always marked wrong,you refuse to honor,I hate this store anymore,yall need to get it together,cuz your employees are mean and unhappy workers,I had to rate your score before I can post I rated yall1 and yall dont even deserve that.ohh and there is only 1 nice employee she middle aged woman she always there for years,she is very nice and helps I give her the 1 star read more
