It housed the first soda fountain in Puerto Rico, and was a place for social gathering throughout PR's history. It is currently still independently family owned, with a recent expansion inf 1990s. My brother and I stopped in during our San Juan cruise stop. It's a very large space for a drug store, filled with a lot of souvenir items, along with travel essentials that would need to be replaced on a long trip.

It is an easy location to find, and ended up being our meeting spot for our guide to pick us up after exiting our cruise ship, starting our private tour early in the morning. It also became our place to stop in for souvenirs before we headed back to our ship. It's also a great place to pick up missing supplies. I ended up buying a bottle of Barrilito Rum ($42.99 for 750 ml), which was confiscated when re-entering the ship, but returned to you on the last night on the ship. My brother and I also found new Pokemon card 15 card packs (I've never seen these before) for $6.99 each. There is a 0.10 shopping bag fee, and a 11.5% sales tax...so much like California in that way.

This place is right on the main road here in town that runs parallel with the beach. They've got everything you need here for a short term to get you buy, including grocery items, ice, drinks, and then all household needed stuff, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, regular soap, scrubbing pad, & more. You can also get all the standard stuff that you think of when you think of a Walgreens, cough medicine, allergy meds, headache aspirin, bug spray, sunscreen, lotion, you name it. This place is a must when here to stay to get the needed items in your room, next time I'll come by here on our first night in town.
