LAMEST EXCUSE FOR A PHARMACY IN BEAUMONT…read more my MD called in a script yesterday that I take every day, it isn't an 'optional' refill....I need the script. The Rite-Aid pharmacy didn't have my new insurance information for this year (following is a direct quote from 'Steven' the employee answering the phone) "The script was very expensive so we chose not to fill it". WTH? when did YOU start making decisions on IF I have new insurance that will pay and IF insurance doesn't, that your customers will NOT be willing to pay? OH, it gets better. I asked how much the script was, (expecting it to be HUNDREDS of Dollars.) "It's $38 for a 30 day supply." WTH? It's a DOLLAR a DAY??? So they decided that A) i probably didn't have new insurance and B) that if i had to pay a dollar a day...I would NOT WANT a script? Now comes the lamest statement to exit an employees mouth: I asked him why someone didn't call to ASK me for my new insurance information. He said "i guess they made the decision not to call". WTH? They are knowledgeable about medication when I get a new prescription and want to know what it's for. I moved over to Hemet and was looking for a new pharmacy when I received a call from Total Care, checking on the request to change pharmacies. When I explained that I had moved, they said that they would get me my meds. That made me happy because with Total Care gives you a smile when you enter and you feel important not just next one in line.

We walked all the way back there only to find out the packing tape was actually in the stationery department, just a few aisles from where we had originally asked. It felt like we were intentionally misdirected because he didn't want to take the time to help. That's not the level of customer service shoppers should expect. Management should address this behavior. Associates should be helping customers find products accurately instead of sending them across the store for no reason. This experience wasted our time and left a very negative impression.
