It was November 8th. We arrived at the store during the posted morning opening hours, but the store was closed, and several customers were waiting outside. We waited over 20 minutes, no manager showed up, and there was no communication from the store. Standing in the cold made the experience even more frustrating. I like Walgreens normally but this one was disappointing, specifically because the pharmacy. I suppose this particular Walgreens' customer base embraces its pharmacy because the line was very long at 6 people when I showed up as opposed to the main checkout where there were only 2 or 3 people in line at a time. I'm here to get a Booster shot. Got my appointment. The pharmacist I had I suppose was new because despite me filling everything out online she still had a host of questions and paperwork I had to fill out. Fine. She was nice about it and another annoyed customer dealing with another pharmacist gets credit to for being calm and nice. I wait about 15-20 min. I kind of expected this as that's how it is even with an appointment and given how busy it is. I continue to wait and wait some more when finally, an annoyed pharmacist says my name and claims she's been calling my name for 'like 10 minutes.' Really? Because I didn't hear anything, nor did I see you come to the window as I was sitting right in front of the pharmacy. She doesn't stop there when she breaks out the snarky tone with "The medical room is over here!" How am I supposed to know this? If there is a sign, I missed it, never been to this Walgreens, let alone for any kind of treatment unless it was over the counter. I finally go in to get my shot. I ask her for details about the shot and without even looking at me just keeps answering "It's the same as the other shots." She sticks me discards everything and walks out in basically under 30 seconds. Aren't I supposed to wait 15 minutes? At least she gave me a band aid I suppose. All I can say is she must've been having a bad day. Unfortunately, it was a bad day for Walgreens as a whole thanks to this lousy Pharmacist. read more

To be clear, this is the Walgreen's on NE 8th and 140th Ave NE in Bellevue, WA. It is not the merchandise here with which I have qualms. Rather, my issue lies with the staff, management, and store experience. I entered this location today at 10:45pm--their posted hours of operation indicate they close at midnight. I selected several beauty products and put them in my cart. I was planning to shop other product genres but was ever-so-rudely denied that opportunity. At approximately 10:55pm an audio message broadcasted throughout the store indicating they would be closing in "a few minutes". Perplexed, I obliged and meandered over to the beverage section to grab one last item before I went to the cashier. Before I could do this, the store's smug manager approached me and sternly stated I had to leave as they were closing early--in five minutes. The same woman followed me to the check-out area and asked me if I wanted any of the items. I answered in the affirmative, adding that my presence at a the cashier area ought to have answered that question. I inquired about the closing time and, stumbling over her words slightly, the manager stated her "kid was not feeling well" so this was an emergency closing. Her awkward delivery of this information ignited my suspicion as to the veracity of her statements. I quickly purchased my items and walked out of the store feeling disappointed due to the length of my shopping trip being inadvertently amputated. I walked across the street to purchase some other items at the diagonally adjacent gas station/convenience store. Subsequent to this venture, I returned to my vehicle in the Walgreen's lot approximately ten minutes later--or--15 minutes past the "emergency closing time" indicated by their manager. At this time, I watched as three different customers consecutively filed into the store. It is now 11:37pm as I write this review and customers are still filing into the store pursuant to the normal hours and going about their shopping there as usual. I am now left to wonder: Was I just profiled out of that store through the use of a premeditated show which was orchestrated and performed by their staff and management? I can't come up with too many other reasonable explanations here. Despite wanting very much to go back in and confront them about this situation, I am exhausted due to an extremely lengthy and physically daunting work week and I simply do not have the energy at the moment for this type of confrontation. On the contrary--I am happy to drain the last of whatever energy & energy fumes remain in my reserves to draft and submit this extremely lengthy, verbose, and most importantly, negative, review of this abomination that calls itself a Walgreens, in hopes of deterring even one potentially paying customer from entering this despicable place and supporting their continued existence. read more

I came to the store for a COVID test, I can only walk in because this is the day that their website was impacted by the crowdstrike, which is understandable. I needed to have an item scanned in so it could be returned via FedEx. I originally met with Catherine, who was helpful, but I had to come back later with a returns label on my package. This turned into a pretty awful experience as the scanning in device was with another employee. I had to deal with a young staff member who was sullen, disinterested and needed to be prompted several times to try to locate the absent employee. She appeared to be bored by the whole interaction. I don't want to name her in this review but if Walgreen wants to, they can follow up with me. My husband had a similar terrible experience. This is our local Walgreens and it honestly needs a new manager. Don't go here. It will drain the life out of you. read more

I dropped my 35 mm film roll on 2/18/2024. They told me it would be maximally 3 weeks. I came by today, 3/9/2024. The cashier told me that their computer said the photos were ready for pickup, but she failed to find them in the store. No offer to compensate for lost photos. BUYER BEWARE! Do not use this pharmacy if you have Molina as your insurance. This pharmacy does not notify you if your insurance is NOT accepted, they recorded my insurance without saying a word about it not covering my prescriptions for years! Ive been going to this pharmacy for 3 years because it is so close to my work. I thought my prescriptions were low cost due to my insurance.. but it was low because of it being generic. It wasn't until my doctor sent a new (non-generic) medication that I found out they NEVER had accepted my insurance. I had to either pay $400 for the new meds, or request my doctor to transfer to someone else. I've been paying $35 out of pocket this whole time for my generic prescriptions when I could have payed $0 at CVS! Why as an employee, would you fail to inform patients of this? Why record insurance that your pharmacy cannot use? It makes NO sense at all! They truly have the WORST service in the State of WA! read more

I took my friend here for a return she had purchased one day prior. She had the receipt, the form of payment card and another card. The very rude cashier "Destiny" said she needed a drivers license. Well, we all live in a 55 and over community so there's only a couple of us who drive. So I'm like oh, well I can see if she wanted cash but she just wants it returned to the form of payment. Well it was pretty clear she wasn't going to help us ...so we asked for a manager- well she let it slip she was the one who rang up the items and she was the manager. So "Destiny" ( actually a shift supervisor at Walgreens) seems be on quite the power trip, it was so clear she had no intention of helping out a neighbor and an old woman at that! Unbelievable! You will have as much luck getting your prescriptions here as you would at McDonalds. I waited on hold for TWO HOURS just to ask someone why my prescription shows "delayed" and hasn't been filled for four days. After waiting two hours on hold, it went to their "lunch break" so I was disconnected. Moreover, if you want your prescription filled in any type of timely manner (less than a week after the doctor fills it) you need to call them. Then you have to wait on hold for about two hours to either be "disconnected" or get conflicting information regarding your prescriptions and filling them. Save yourself hours of waiting and frustration by going ANYWHERE ELSE. Walgreens in general is bad for communication and wait times, but this place is insufferable. If they can't offer patients reasonable care, they shouldn't be operating. read more

Month in month out there is always some hurdle I have to get over. I've had it. This place is awful. The pharmacy manager (not the British one) is smart. Which means, the incompetence is deliberate and, the games/rug pulls are for her enjoyment. Consistently jumping through hoops is not how picking up your monthly medication should go. Do not go here for a passport photo if you have a child with disabilities! You know just stay away from this place altogether! I was trying get a photo taken for my son 16 month old (Non verbal which I expressed to the lady) she continued to say I raised kids before I know how to do this. As I expressed he's non verbal and to do certain things to get him to look at the camera. She literally never tired to snap his picture one time as she's saying well I need him to look at the camera. I proceed to let her know he will look when there's a flash. She never tried to take his pictures one time. So I ask what should I do to get his photo taken as I'm not an expert I don't know how to do this. She says "Well you should get a therapist for him" EXCUSE ME"? EXCUSE ME? Are you serious? Number one he has a therapist which is none of your god damn business. Your business is to take a picture which you never tried to do. We leave the store my husband goes back in to talk to the manager because that's discrimination against people with disabilities and they are talking about us. Are you serious? Worst service... Did I mention she asked you know this is a US passport right? Also asked if my sons first language was English after expressing he's non verbal. Maybe your staff is just dense? I Just spoke with Chase at the Bellevue Walgreena Pharmacy.He is extremely conscientious about his job. I was really impressed with his degree of patience in trying to find the information that I was requesting! He went out of his way to research different avenues , calling other Walgreens locations. He even called his competitors ,Bartels, and Fred Meyer's trying to find the information I was requesting because it wasn't coming up In his computer system. The Drive thru line was over 45 minutes!!!!! lt was too late to get out as I was locked into the line on both sides with my grandmother in the car with me and it was so awful!! She had needed the restroom pretty badly - that's how long the line took and we could NOT get out. This was in the summer before more people knew that they had been doing COVID testing in the drive thru lines but we were there just to pick up meds. There was no signs before the line began warning that there would be long waiting times if you chose to get into the drive thru lane and no one was answering any of the phones. I have tried to place 3 photo pickup orders all with very little success and help. The first order I tried to pickup the staff member said the printer is broken and just walked away without offering any assistance. The 2nd time I put in a photo order, the guy said that they don't print it until we get there so he successfully printed my order. When I had him look up my previous order that I was unable to get he said that that order already got cancelled (no notification, no cancellation email was sent). Today, I went in to pickup my order and there's a sign saying there's no 4x6 paper. My order was for an 8x10 so I figured it was safe. The same woman was there from my first failed order and said the order wasn't ready since they did not have any 8x10 paper. I told her that was not on the sign. She said that they actually had 4x6 paper. I asked if she could just re-do my order on the 4x6 since I was already there. A different dark haired lady said I had to redo my order online. I then asked if they could just ship it to me due to the inconvenience of having to return and she again said that I had to redo the order online. Neither of the woman had on visible name tags so that I could get their names and they did not execute good customer service for the delay in my photo. This photo center is horrendous in their customer service, timeliness of order, and communication of delays. read more

This pharmacy is so slow and inefficient. I'm sitting on hold right now for over an hour. That is the norm not the exception. In person the line is very long. I just need to tell them to fill my prescription even if my insurance doesn't pay because I'm going out of town. I'm going to have to drive there to tell them that and then go back the next day to pick up my meds. So it will be hours spent just to get two medications. Ridiculous. read more

They do not take my insurance, which is fine, I offered to pay out of my pocket, he said if he accepts cash then they could lose a contract (what contract) - how could you lose something you don't have? He was basically being judgemental, rude, and very unprofessional. He was so loud that everyone around me could hear what he was saying - everyone around me heard what medication I was on and what insurance I had, I felt so embarrassed. Thank goodness for Walgreens. We had forgotten a towel for the scuba diving class at the pool a few blocks away. Thankfully this listing was easy to get in and out of, since I don't know the area. The best part...they had Avengers towels....or Mickey Mouse, so my 20yr old got to support an Avengers towel for his class. Oh...and it was only $5...what a deal! Came on time, ended up waiting for 20 minutes to get to the register, and then stood around for another 25 minutes. I ended up leaving after realizing that in the 45 minutes I had been there not a single person in front of me had received a vaccination. No idea how long it would have taken to eventually get my vaccination. This was a poor customer experience. read more

I got a passport photo taken here and Ray did a fantastic job. The first photo, taken by another employee (not part of the photo department), was dark and low quality. Ray however, who said he had been with Walgreens for 18 years, retook the photo and brightened it a bit making for a much better picture. He was very knowledgable on what you can and cannot do in the photo. He was quick and even gave me a discount! read more

Walgreens is expensive if you want to refill your medication. Ask you insurance company for mail order pharmacy information. You will save hundreds of dollars per year. Walgreens is loosing its focus and have added photo center, grocery, toys, cosmetics etc. Also they have reduced pharmacy hours from 24 hours to just 16 hours at many locations. Every time I go to this pharmacy it seems like no matter what, these people have to give me bullshit. First off, they are slow...I could do their job faster than them with both my arms and one of my legs broken. So the wait for this place is going to be at least 11+ minutes. Once I finally get there, they either don't have my prescription or "It's going to take another 40 minutes to an hour". Every one at this pharmacy seems to have this glazed over look in their eye like they aren't really even there. They are giving you bullshit, wasting your time and pissing you off, and they don't even care. This is the WORST pharmacy in Bellevue. I usually LOVE Walgreen's, but this particular one is just awful. Yes, they have the usual Walgreen's merchandise in stock, but the staff here is the worst ever. I've gone to this store about 10 times in the past year and I've never left happy or impressed. The checkers have always been aloof - no "hi, how's your day going?", "how are you?", or even "thank you" after ringing me up. The prices that the register shows for items are sometimes not the advertised prices, and there's always a line at the cash. This week's experiece was the worst ever. I was in line to check out. The cashier was chatting up the customer in front of me (a friendly checker for once!). Meanwhile, the line behind me was growing, growing, ever growing. The customer had already paid up; they were just chatting. All of us in line were getting antsy. Finally it was my turn. The checker rang up my 3 items and said I owed $7.05. I didn't have a nickel so I gave her $20.10, anticipating $13.05 back (am I right?). When she handed me some bills and a bunch of change back (quarters and dimes and a few pennies), I questioned her math. She apologized, saying again it came to $7.10. I again questioned the change she had handed me. She referred to the receipt. The total had come to $8.37 or something like that. She had quoted me the pre-tax cost and not the total cost prior to my paying. I told her, man, I wouldn't have given her the dime with the $20 if I had known what the "real" total was. She was totally confused, had no idea what I was talking about. She kept apologizing, then said she could refund the amount if I wanted. I said no, it's okay (meanwhile, the line behind me was REALLY long now!). I hastily left. As I drove away, I calculated the cost of the 3 items I had purchased (gum and 2 sodas). The bill should have come to a bit less than $7 including tax. So the checker overcharged me by over a buck. Minor detail, I know, but the whole experience and transaction was so awful, I opted to just forget about it - and never go back to this store again. The hassles just aren't worth it. read more

Worst pharmacy experience ever! Had 3 teeth pulled earlier and was trying to get my pain perscription filled before the numbing agent wore off as I had to make a 45 minute drive back to Maple Valley. The manager initially "helped" me and stated there was a problem with my insurance. We went on about it for awhile before I just offered to pay full price. I didnt want to waste too much time. I then preceded to wait an hour in the store before going back to the counter to have them tell me they were completely out of the medication I needed! By then the pain was kicking in. I left, drove all the way the Maple Valley Fred Meyer pharmacy in excruciating pain. I was in and out within 15 minutes having no problems with my insurance whatsoever. This is the worst Walgreens I've ever been to. I've been using Walgreens pharmacy for a very long time and never have I had any troubles like the ones I've experienced at this one!! My prescriptions are NEVER done when they are supposed to be. They always mess up my insurance info. This review is a long time coming because I have had many issues since I started coming to this location. Not only do I get emails saying my RX Is ready, but I get phone calls as well and then I show up, and my prescription order hadn't even gone through. The lines are always very long and the poor employees seem way overworked. I hope to change pharmacies asap because I'm tired of this crap. I never had these issues with other Walgreens locations, but at this point, I'm ready to move on to an entire different store completely. Stay away from this place. It's the worst! My niece and I love to walk here almost every night (weather permitting). It is close and open 24 hours. Pros- Has about everything you need, even fresh fruit -There is always a sale, especially on candy. -Punna is the nicest guy who works here. Cons-They REFUSE to honor coupons with out a bar code, even if it is from the manufacturer. -They are always busy with only one cashier. However the Pros out way the cons. Being a 24 hour store gets the 4 stars as it is from me. I am an all day person we need more 24 hour,365 day stores around here. read more

The employees are nice, even when harried. The store is clean and tidy. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. I have epilepsy. Three times out of six they did not refill, I would call, then they would fax the doctor, then my doctor faxes back within an hour. The number of calls they place to my doctor is unusual, only once did the prescription expire and need to be refilled. They get two stars due to he incompetence of the pharmacy staff. Today I called to follow up on why they did not fill after the doctor faxed. Me- Is it done? Him- No. Me- The doctor's office faxed the info yesterday morning an hour after you asked for it. Him- There was an insurance thing. Me- An insurance thing? What does that mean? Him- Hold on. (typing) OK it is fixed, we can fill it my afternoon. Me- Please repeat that. Did you just say there was an insurance thing, and you just fixed it? Him- Yeah, it will be ready in a few hours. Me- OK, I called yesterday to see if it was ready and it was not, why is it ready now? Him- We needed to type in a code. Me- Why did he person not type in the code yesterday? Him- Maybe it was a new staff member, and they didn't know. But, we can have it ready in an hour, if you want. No "Sorry we messed up". Things like this have happened three times, I should transfer my prescriptions, but it is a hassle. Don't pick this place if you can avoid it. read more

Yes, Walgreens is expensive, but not as bad as Bartells. Plus it is convenient. (Read my other reviews to know convenience is a big winner with me!) Run in, run out - I get what I need quickly. Better selection than Safeway: I buy their old holiday candy, use the photo booth, shop the clearance section and buy some over the counter meds with no issues. Yes, I'd go here again. read more
