My daughter and I stopped at a Fred Meyer that is not our usual location, and the experience was…read moredisappointing overall. When we reached the produce section, there was very little produce available (no bananas at all, very sparse selection) and what was there did not look well maintained. There were spills on the floor that had not been cleaned up, which made the area feel messy and neglected. I understand that inventory issues can happen, so that part alone would not have bothered me too much. Checkout was where things really fell apart. We waited a very long time in line (all the lines were back into the aisles), and when we were finally helped, the cashier, a very sweet older gentleman who clearly seemed to be having a rough day, rang up our groceries only for the payment keypad to freeze and stop working. He became flustered, and we were moved to another register. It was uncomfortable to watch him try to get help from a manager who appeared annoyed rather than supportive. Overall, the store felt unorganized and dirty, and the whole experience was stressful. I genuinely feel bad for the employees, as it did not seem like they were being set up for success. If you have the option, I would recommend choosing a different Fred Meyer location.

Every month I would order refills for my medications and I would be told I filled them somewhere else, my physician had not authorized the refill(s), or they couldn't refill medications when I was completely out because they were too soon to refill. I worked in the Pharmacy industry for many years, so I do know what I am talking about. I shouldn't have to call my physician's nurse to find out the refill request was sent days earlier, even multiple times to make sure I received my medications. I would contact the pharmacy, they would say my meds were filled somewhere else and accuse me of wrongdoing. I finally told my physician I was calling the police to find out who refilled my meds, then calling the pharmacy to notify them I would contact the police as well. Miraculously, they (the pharmacy) would find my prescriptions, apologize, and let me know I would have them ready within the hour. In the middle of all this I was battling a crippling seizure disorder which made me unable to work and I was on "Obamacare." Some of their pharmacy plans limit you to certain pharmacies, which was extremely frustrating on my part. Now that I have Medicare and Medicaid due to not being able to work anymore, I have a choice of pharmacies to use. Not this one, ever again.

The aisles are nice and wide, making it easy to walk through and browse without feeling cramped. Everything always feels organized and easy to shop. My favorite sections are the purses, pet toys, and the home decor. They always have a great variety, and I love seeing what new finds have come in. Their seasonal decor is also always fun to browse, especially when they start putting out holiday items. They currently have Halloween stuff out, and it was so fun looking through all the spooky finds! The fitting rooms are available too, which is always convenient. Like any Marshalls, TJ Maxx, or HomeGoods, there are definitely some items that aren't the best quality, but if you take a little time to look, you can usually find some really great pieces that are absolutely worth it. That's part of the fun, you never know what you'll come across. The employees have always been friendly here during my visits. Just be prepared to be asked a lot about the TJX Rewards card at checkout, even if you're purchasing a small item. Overall, this is my go-to Marshalls, and it's the location I keep coming back to!

I'll admit I have mall nostalgia, so whenever I step into one, I get a certain feeling. Most Malls…read morethese days are only a small percent of what they once were. Crossroads is sort of a hybrid strip and indoor mall which collectively keep itself going. Crossroads indoor portion is held up by a strong food court, it's "Public Market" with a lot of options - burgers, Mexican, Thai, sushi, Indian, Boba, Korean, Hawaiian and more. On top of that, there are plenty of seats. I'd even go so far to say that the Food Court is the main attraction here and the other stores are secondary, which include Old Navy, Hallmark and other services - Mini Library, information about Bellevue and such. The Mall itself looks kept up and seems to be doing well enough to keep going, so I say that's good. People clearly endorse it. I was here on a weekday afternoon for work. I sat down to take a rest and two separate families walked up with their children and put them in those 'coin-operated riding machines'. Moments before this happened, I asked myself "does anyone use these things anymore?". My question was answered. Crossroads is alive.
