Wow!!!! So not sure if there have been major changes to the staff or what but the last 3 times I've gone here it's like a completely different location than before. The pharmacy is now clean, hardly has a wait, the correct prescriptions ready on time.... I realize this is something you think is bare minimum but in the past I'd never had all 4 of my Rx ready same day even when I got alerts saying they're rre ready and filled, once I had the same medication in 2 bottles with different labels so missing the other medication, long wait times and horrific staff attitude I used to trade errands with my husband and have him pick up for me it was so painful to come and now its 10% different. It's an easy and pleasant experience. Funny enough the pharmacy has become wonderful and the overall store experience outside the pharmacy has gone down some. Exploded sodas with soda mist and liquid in the refrigerators, about 70% of thing stocked in the right place or stocked at all behind the new digital doors over for drinks and frozen sections a lot of the store just seems to have empty shelves (not sure if they just just selling out fast all the time or just not getting inventory to the floor) and typically has a 5-10 minute wait at the front checkout if you want something extra. However my reason I go here I for the pharmacy only, I don't stop by here when I need anything else outside of my pickups so bc of those visits being radically different so on the rare occasion I do get other things at the front I just know I need to plan for an additional 15 minutes at the front to checkout ‍ Thank you pharmacy team- super appreciative of it being an easier, friendlier and super efficient and pleasant experience. read more

the staff in the whole store is rude. especially the pharmacy. The the young staff working in the drI've through is very incompetent. Those two young ladies need to be retrained and attended customer service traintraining as well. They are liars too. read more

You know what-I should have written this review ages ago. I've been coming to this Walgreens since 2006 and it's consistently awesome. It's clean, so well-stocked and it has carts-which I need, since I always leave with an unexpected find-or three! It's been my pharmacy for years... I've also gotten several immunizations here... and they have a huge health/medical selection... everything from eye drops for my niece's pink eye to my mom's cinnamon pills. They also have a really large beauty section-which reminds me, I need foundation and makeup sponges. Hallmark cards? They've got a long aisle of them! Vitamins? Tons! Snacks-oh yeah, my photos tell that story-and a great candy aisle. You can also find everything from hand warmers to great holiday items. And when everyplace else was sold out on toilet paper at the height of the pandemic-and bottled water before hurricane Irma, I found both here. You might have to do a u-turn to get in here, depending on which way you're coming from, but it's totally worth it. They give coupons and there's a rewards program. Plus, they have lots of parking, extensive hours, a drive-thru prescription window and hey, their own liquor store, right next door. Unless I get hung up in the latter... I have been using this Walgreens for around 25 years. Over the past year the pharmacy has taken a nose dive in how they conduct business. Most recently, I was in their drive thru to pick up five prescriptions, that went smoothly and I went home. After I got home Walgreens called me to say they rang up someone else's prescription with mine and they NEEDED me to come back to the store with the receipt and credit card. WHY? I did not leave the store with any prescriptions that didn't belong to me. This is an inconvenience and a burden to me, the customer. I think everybody can agree the traffic in the Brandon area is insane and I try to limit my outings in general. I actually should have just told them no, I'm not coming back up there, that's your problem your employee made a mistake, not mine. I did go back to the store and me being there, it seemed like I was doing them a "favor" for an employee who did their job carelessly. What favor has Walgreens done for me over the 25 years I have been using this pharmacy? Nothing, unless you call filling my prescriptions and letting me pay for them. I was not compensated for returning to the store. A second issue, about a year ago, I used the drive thru at the same store. One of my prescriptions needed my Florida identification so I passed it through on the red rectangular box. My prescriptions were passed back to me through the same red box. When I went to pull the bag out of the red box my Florida identification fell out onto the ground in between my car and the curb. How nice of the pharmacy customer service representative to securely leave my identification in the bag. Great job! How am I supposed to retrieve it when I can barely open my car door while in the drive thru?? I yelled at them from my car and the TWO customer service people at the drive thru window looked at me, what are we supposed to do about it? With these two situations what could I have done to prevent this from happening when it 100% falls on the pharmacy staff? Lack of training, lack of common sense? Or am I just the lucky one that had to deal with these two issues. I am sure there at least a 100 customers, maybe more that come through that pharmacy. What is scary is we talking about a place that dispenses prescriptions. There shouldn't be errors. Everything should be checked and checked again. read more

This location is conveniently off of the I75 224 exit for Ellenton, FL. North or South, it's a turn north-bound on 301 to get to here. Great selection of over-the-counter cold remedies and medicines. Simple go-to shopping items when you're on the go and need to pick up something on the fly. Script-filling is pretty easy here. The pharmacist in my experience is always available to answer questions and suggest a remedy to your ailment. There's a selection of homeopathic remedies here as well if you're a subscriber to that. Pretty extensive selection of health and beauty aids. They are open 24 hours and there's a Red-box kiosk here if you're hankering for a movie. read more

I feel so bad I don't remember her name but she was as nice as could be! A+ for customer service! Photos came out great for passport standards (lol). The don't apply the cheapest coupon available when you have no insurance unless you are behind them what coupon should be applied. My wife picked up the medecine and didn't show the coupon. The charged nearly x6 times more than the cheapest coupon. I had the medecine sealed in the stapled bag to return and apply the cheapest coupon. They denied because the medicine had already left the store. They didn't rebill either nor issued a store credit. read more

**Updated I asked for my script back from the Walgreens lab tech. Who then said "they are going to tell you the same thing everywhere else". I then went to CVS and got it filled within an hour. This Walgreens has messed up my Scripts for the past 6 months. I do not recommend filling any Scripts here. The only reason I've continued to come here is because of convenience . Now I will have to drive 10 min out of my way because of Walgreens incompetence. read more

I like this Walgreens for the most part, however, the parking lot is a terrible mess. I have witnessed accidents and near misses. Even one of the managers said it was so risky, that the employees prefer to use the side lot to park in. Also a big problem are the beggers, it never ends, night and day. I wish management would actively work with security or the sheriff's office to get rid of this problem permanently. On a more positive note, the employees are all really great, very friendly and they always greet you as you enter. Their products are good and selection is pretty good too. read more

I love this place. I don't live anywhere near this walgreens but I go out of my way to go here. They always have everything I need in stock and the people at the pharmacy are the nicest people you will ever meet in your whole life. They are like something out of a small town. Mostly come here only for the photo center. Service is hit or miss. I've had good & bad experiences w/ the photo employees. I keep coming back b/c the prices on prints & photo cards are good & I can order online & they're always ready so quickly. read more

The pharmacy is absolutely horrible here.... Really caused me a lot of physical distress because they wouldn't fill my prescription because I moved and it wasn't the same address. They have filled multiple prescriptions but today I guess the rules changed or more like the lady behind the counter felt like making up information... Googled laws she completely made it up... I don't understand why I was treated so horrible... It's okay another pharmacy filled it no problem I will no longer use this Walgreens as the lady at the drive thru window was unprofessional and completely made up laws and regulations as I did the research and another Walgreens filled it just fine. People can't play god like that especially with prescriptions... Claimed she had nothing in the system on me in less then 10 seconds when I fill 3 prescriptions a month at this exact Walgreens and have a Walgreens pharmacy rewards card... Interesting been using Walgreens for 3 years and that location for about 4 months. Sorry I don't get a new ID every time I move?? Never ever heard of this, and can't find anything... They made errors on the quantity of my medicine and I did not notice and had to jump through hoops to get them to fix their error.
