I recently visited Deka Lash with high expectations, specifically requesting a hybrid set from a master lash artist. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of what I had hoped for. The end result does not reflect the skill level one would expect from a master lash artist. Firstly, I was disappointed to find that my bottom portion of my upper lash line had been completely untouched. It's disheartening to pay for a service and not have the full treatment delivered as promised. It left my overall lash look unbalanced and incomplete. Furthermore, the lash technician seemed to have used predominantly volume lashes, with very few classic lashes incorporated into the set. This was not what I had requested or anticipated. As a result, the appearance of my lashes was more heavily concentrated and lacked the desired natural blend that a hybrid set should have provided. The lash line itself turned out to be uneven and wonky, which further added to my dissatisfaction. Additionally, I must mention that I took the initiative to reach out to both the corporate office and the Deka Lash location in Brandon via email to express my dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, their response was disheartening. They adamantly refused to provide me with a full refund and removal of the lashes. Their suggested solution was for me to make another appointment with the same "Master Lash Artist" or opt for a different lash artist altogether. This insistence on giving the lash artist a second chance to rectify their work is puzzling, especially considering the designation of "Master Lash Artist" implies a certain level of expertise and competence. It is particularly frustrating to encounter such resistance when the service I initially paid for was not delivered as promised. The fact that they claim to have a "strict no refund policy" seems unfair in this case, as I did not receive the service that I had paid for and expected. In my opinion, a "Master Lash Artist" should be held to a higher standard, and the opportunity for a second attempt at correcting the work should not be necessary. Given the circumstances, I firmly believe that a refund is warranted. The response I received from Deka Lash only reinforced my disappointment and frustration with their customer service. It is disheartening when a company fails to acknowledge and rectify their mistakes, especially when it directly impacts the customer's experience and satisfaction. In light of these circumstances, I would caution others considering Deka Lash services, particularly from their "Master Lash Artists," and recommend seeking alternative options that prioritize customer satisfaction and uphold their service standards. Given the premium price associated with the service from a master lash artist, I had expected a higher level of expertise and attention to detail. Regrettably, this was not the case, and I left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied with my lash outcome. I would have appreciated better communication from the lash artist during the appointment, allowing me to voice my concerns and ensuring a more satisfactory end result. The lack of attention to detail and failure to deliver on the promised quality of work were major drawbacks. I hope that Deka Lash takes this feedback constructively and addresses the issues raised. Improved quality control and better training for their lash artists are necessary to ensure consistent and satisfactory results for their clients, especially when visiting a master lash artist. I got my lashes done on a Saturday and by Thursday they looked like I needed a full set. I have gotten my lashes done for years and never had this issue. Lash set appointment was at 12:30 and not even 3 hours after getting lashes done lashes were falling out everywhere. I literally walked next door down to get my nails and feet done and lashes were all over my shirt, some just laid on my face. Once the technician finished she told me my lashes are very thin. Although I have had thinner lashes in the past my usual lash technician had no issues with my lashes falling off in under 3 hours. I do understand there will be minimal lash fall out after completing the set but not this many. The most upsetting part was, after I called the store back to let them know what happened, I was given a new appointment for retouch the following morning. To my surprise I received a call on my way to the appointment to tell me the lash tech was not available. They did email me this message but I hadn't reviewed the email prior to, no phone call either to let me know this. First and last time coming to do business here! read more

I would negative star if I could. I only giving one cause the lash artist was nice and it was clean. The lash always fall off so quickly, like they are not made to last at all. Two days later a majority already fell off, they barely even lay a week. I bought the membership thinking I would keep coming, but after this experience I'm done. There is a reason for all the bad reviews so please run don't walk away from this place! I have membership and have been a client at least 12 times at this location. My lashes were never great however they are cheaper (you get what you pay for here for sure) and they are a mile from my office so the convenience was beneficial. I never complained about at least the 10 times I had of mediocre service getting Truexpress lashes. However, when I upgraded to Volume and paid a ton over my membership cost and they were gone the next day I called in and explained very nicely, throwing no blame on anyone and they offered to have the artist REDO them. I went in and the same artist told me that corporate didn't book her enough time to fix them so she would do what she could and "get me next time". Those lashes were also gone the next day so I called again and was asked to sent in pictures to prove myself?!?!?!? I then said forget it (I do have the pics) and I took about a 2 month break give my lashes a break. I finally scheduled a visit on the afternoon of a big event and was literally turned away by the artist and rude manager due to having my 12 year old son with me. I had brought my 14 year old daughter with me twice previously and had never been told no guests. I explained this to them and they offered to "compromise" and allow him to sit outside in feels like temperatures of 106'. I said that was not acceptable as anyone could grab him and we are under a stay inside heat advisory. The rude staff sent me on my way with an offer to reschedule even though I had explained about my event that evening. I asked for a refund of the $260 credit I had as I hadn't been in so long and was told they don't do refunds. I deserve a refund for my last service and my credit. I called and filed a complaint which is something I never do to be told the manager will get a request to give me a refund and someone will call me. Instead 20 minutes later I received a cancellation email and no refund. I run a law firm and have my own business and so I'm overly nice to small businesses but this place needs to shut their doors seeming they can't get the product or customer service correct. read more

Unorganized location. I came in the previous day to ask for an appointment for the next day. The girl working said she had the day available and asked if I wanted someone specific. I told her no and she said I can pick a time. I chose 11am when they open. I arrived only to find out I was not scheduled. I should have known when they girl scheduling didn't seem to know how to work the system. She seemed lost while she scheduled me. I have a trip planned for the later in the day so there really wasn't an option to reschedule. I drove a long way to get to this location and all I get was a sorry. I'm only giving this place one star because the chairs were comfortable and my lash tech was very nice. My lashes though, literally all fell out the next day. I didn't even bother calling or going back because I found them on Groupon and didn't feel like arguing for a reimbursement. Luckily the owner did call me, but I was at work and she left a message. I was really desperate to get my lashes done because I'm going on vacation and my usual lash girl was unavailable. So i found this place on groupon and decided to give it a try. The studio was really nice and clean. The girl who did my lashes gave me a selection of styles to choose from and I wanted glamour because I love long, wispy, thick lashes. After two hours laying there she gives me the mirror and I was shook because they didn't look at all like glamour. Then when I got to my car they looked even worse, very thin and short. It didn't even look like I got them done!!! I was absolutely appalled that I paid $70 to look like I didn't even have my lashes done. My roommate and my grandma also said they couldn't see a difference because the lashes are basically non existent. Not only that but they have been falling out left and right which has NEVER happened to me in all my years of getting my lashes done. This place is a scam. I did the trueXpress lashes for my birthday weekend. Place is clean and professional, and staff was pleasant. I did my lashes the morning before heading to our resort at treasure island, they survived the pool, beach, spa, windy bike rides, ect. The TrueXpress is perfect for me bc I hate sitting too long and I love a more natural look that I don't feel. It's been 12 days and although some have fallen out seems like a normal amount and they still look great! This was my first time getting lash extensions. I have very sparse lashes, so I was concerned they would look too dramatic and not natural. Alyssa was great at helping me choose the style of lashes that suited me and my lifestyle the best. She answered any questions I had about the process before we started. What a relaxing experience, I almost fell asleep! I'm thrilled with my new lashes, but was surprised that I lost 5 or 6 lashes that same evening, despite not touching or rubbing my eyes, not sleeping with my face touching my pillow, and not getting them wet for 24 hrs., as instructed. At first I was very happy with the lashes, however it has only been 6 days and 50% of the lashes are gone. I have had lash extensions many times and this has never been the case. I went here for the groupon as well; because I was in a bind and could not afford my usual lash extension artist. However after my lashes were placed they looked great but literally not eve. 24 hrs into the lash extension's 75% were GONE I called immediately and they did fit me in to correct the issue but again 2 days later NO Retention I've been having my lashes done for years before it was a "thing" here in Florida and NEVER experienced that now the establishment did make it right by refunding my membership that I actually bought but never reimbursed the original groupon for 69.00 but it is what it is.... and I wasn't even you g to make this review except for the fact I'm a photographer and one of my brides who's wedding was 4/6/19 also had same exact experience that is pathetic and this was weeks after I went so I thought at least the adhesive may have been better but from these reviews it looks like that's a negative. Not worth the money at all. Got my lashes done last Friday and by this last Sunday, a majority had fallen out so I went on Tuesday to get them fixed. They looked ok but she didn't use the same length lashes as the previous girl had used. Then again they proceeded to fall off again. By the first day I had lost 5 eyelashes on each eye, now I barely have any left and it's 5 days after getting them fixed. They have fallen out in clumps and I'm not even touching my eyes. A complete waste of money so do not recommend. I was told they would last about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks and Im not even at a week yet. read more
