This is a small MAC branch, but they pack their whole product line into a very small space. As you know, MAC is one of those few cosmetics that will not sell their products at Sephora or Ulta. MAC believes this keeps their product lines exclusive, much like Paul Mitchell does. You must purchase MAC at licensed branches or full-fledged free-standing MAC stores. MAC (Make-Up Art Cosmetics) were originally designed for makeup artist's use, and at their inception in 1984, employed only professional makeup artists. MAC's make-up artists will apply your make up for a fashion shoot, photo shoot, your wedding day, or any other special event you'd like. This branch is located inside Dillard's Department store. It's on the bottom floor, right where Dillard's exits to the mall, across from Perfumes department. The product samples at MAC are always kept clean and sanitized. Thank goodness for that! Have you ever walked up to a product demo counter and watched as a gaggle of teen girls swirled around and mixed up all the samples of powdered blushes, making a mess, and then not cleaning it up, but just walking away? They're also trying them out and it's bad for the next user's health! Even worse when they mess with the eye makeup! Can you say pink eye? No thanks! At this MAC, the cosmeticians don't let this happen and here's why: 1) There are enough employees to take care of all customers, so they're there to demonstrate its' usage; 2) They keep their sample products clean after each usage by sanitizing with appropriate materials. I like to buy a few things at MAC. The lipsticks are great, especially the VIVA GLAM lipsticks. They go on nice, are long-wearing, and keep my lips well moisturized. The VIVA GLAM line was developed to benefit the M.A.C. AIDS Fund, so 100% of the purchase price of all VIVA GLAM products goes toward this cause. (For more information, visit MACAIDSFUND.ORG.) I also love their Cheek Blush line, and for Summer, I always use their Mineralized Skinfinish highlights. I don't use a thick foundation makeup, because I used it very heavily during my younger years as a model, and I feel now that it only clogs my pores and creates breakouts and a bad complexion. My skin is much clearer without foundation, plus my pores can breathe much better. Instead, I use something lighter. For those thinking you just can't, that you must have foundation to even out the imperfections and discolorations in your skin we all have, NO. You don't need something that basically smothers your face all day with a color that doesn't match yours. Sure, there are products out there that claim to match your skin color, and even those that can be custom-color-made. But if you must, try to use a light product that 'illuminates', such as MAC's Strobe Cream. It brightens with iridescent particles that aren't too glittery or shimmery. Just brush Strobe Cream onto your most uneven spots, and that's all. Your face won't feel completely smothered because you won't have the product placed over your entire face :). Or, you can use the powder Mineralized Skinfinish highlights for the same results. At bedtime, I cleanse all my makeup off and never sleep in it, because sleeping with makeup on will produce breakouts and also creates a breeding ground for germs :). I do still shop at Sephora though! I wear Nars eyeliner, and Urban Decay's Browbox, and that's the extent of my make-up repertoire. I figure less is more these days, except during special occasions; then I'll wear my regime more heavily. But Nars and Urban Decay are two things you can't get at MAC, so I'll always be shopping at both MAC and Sephora! !!!!!*****FIVE FABULOUS STARS*****!!!!!

Ajah is the best! She did my make up for my birthday party and I felt like a celebrity! She asked questions before she started and all throughout the makeover! Yes I purchased some of the products and she made sure I knew how to use them.

The end result does not reflect the skill level one would expect from a master lash artist. Firstly, I was disappointed to find that my bottom portion of my upper lash line had been completely untouched. It's disheartening to pay for a service and not have the full treatment delivered as promised. It left my overall lash look unbalanced and incomplete. Furthermore, the lash technician seemed to have used predominantly volume lashes, with very few classic lashes incorporated into the set. This was not what I had requested or anticipated. As a result, the appearance of my lashes was more heavily concentrated and lacked the desired natural blend that a hybrid set should have provided. The lash line itself turned out to be uneven and wonky, which further added to my dissatisfaction. Additionally, I must mention that I took the initiative to reach out to both the corporate office and the Deka Lash location in Brandon via email to express my dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, their response was disheartening. They adamantly refused to provide me with a full refund and removal of the lashes. Their suggested solution was for me to make another appointment with the same "Master Lash Artist" or opt for a different lash artist altogether. This insistence on giving the lash artist a second chance to rectify their work is puzzling, especially considering the designation of "Master Lash Artist" implies a certain level of expertise and competence. It is particularly frustrating to encounter such resistance when the service I initially paid for was not delivered as promised. The fact that they claim to have a "strict no refund policy" seems unfair in this case, as I did not receive the service that I had paid for and expected. In my opinion, a "Master Lash Artist" should be held to a higher standard, and the opportunity for a second attempt at correcting the work should not be necessary. Given the circumstances, I firmly believe that a refund is warranted. The response I received from Deka Lash only reinforced my disappointment and frustration with their customer service. It is disheartening when a company fails to acknowledge and rectify their mistakes, especially when it directly impacts the customer's experience and satisfaction. In light of these circumstances, I would caution others considering Deka Lash services, particularly from their "Master Lash Artists," and recommend seeking alternative options that prioritize customer satisfaction and uphold their service standards. Given the premium price associated with the service from a master lash artist, I had expected a higher level of expertise and attention to detail. Regrettably, this was not the case, and I left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied with my lash outcome. I would have appreciated better communication from the lash artist during the appointment, allowing me to voice my concerns and ensuring a more satisfactory end result. The lack of attention to detail and failure to deliver on the promised quality of work were major drawbacks. I hope that Deka Lash takes this feedback constructively and addresses the issues raised. Improved quality control and better training for their lash artists are necessary to ensure consistent and satisfactory results for their clients, especially when visiting a master lash artist. Below are pictures of my eyes 5 minutes after departing Deka Lash. Overall, I cannot recommend the Deka Lash service I received from their master lash artist. It did not meet the expectations set by their reputation, and the inconsistencies in the lash application left much to be desired.

When I first started there Denisha was my lash artist and she was great! Then she left and I had two different girls do my lashes and they did a bad job! Now I'm looking for another salon. I would not recommend this place.
