I am going to update this review as Dr Rex Barrett reached out to me as he told his staff to reach out to let us know the location was closing unfortunately I never received a call from the staff which is disappointing and the blame of the staff for not doing their job. The fact that Dr Barrett reached out with explanation shows a lot of dignity and respect so I'm updating this review as I was so happy while this location in Brentwood was open. I found Lisa on IG so I'm going to schedule appt with her at her new location. Thank you

Fast forward a year, I schedule an appt via their website, I called to confirm the appointment the day prior and they tell me I don't have an appointment even though I had a text confirmation, bizarre. Didn't want to deal with it at the time so I put it on the back burner. Fast forward a few months, I make another appointment online, this time I schedule a first thing in the morning appointment time to prevent that ridiculous delay. I have new insurance so I also entered that on the portal. Set the day and time, I get a text that says they've received my request for an appointment, they're going to verify my new insurance and I'll get a confirmation text once my appointment is set in stone. I received 2 confirmation text after that that I'm good to go. I arrived to my appointment and the front desk says they've aren't in network with Aetna PPO and I'd be a cash patient ?!?!? It's a PPO plan not an HMO plan so I'm unsure why I'd be a private pay patient- either way 3 strikes you're out. This place needs to get it together.

I stopped into MAC because I have a few events coming up and was specifically looking for blush recommendations. When I asked for suggestions, the staff member pointed out a few options but ultimately told me I could "just swatch as much as I want until I find a color I like." They seemed more preoccupied with cleaning up the store than actually helping me, and the interaction felt rushed and dismissive. To make matters worse, as soon as I left the store, they left shortly after--I can only assume they didn't want to assist me because I was getting in the way of them clocking out. If that was the case, they could have at least passed me on to another associate instead of making me feel like an afterthought. Based on this experience, I'm not surprised the store is often empty.

After the Walgreens on Balfour and Walnut dropped the ball, this Walgreens, as well as two others, picked it up. I work for the county and our clinic is participating in Red Nose Day on May 24th. The first week of May, I went to the Walgreens on Balfour and Walnut (the location closest to our clinic) to discuss our needs for Red Nose Day items. I was able to get most of the items, however I needed a large quantity of Red Nose Day pens which they did not have in stock. They assured me they would locate them/order them and have them for me in the store the following week. I gave them my name and phone number and planned to come back the following week to pick up the pens. I went back to the Balfour and Walnut location as planned, during my lunch hour, to pick up the pens. They didn't have them. I was told word-for-word the exact same thing they'd told me the first time. That they were trying to get them from another store, blah blah blah and that they should have them by Friday. So that was a huge waste of my time. On Friday, I called them and of course, they didn't have the pens. I began calling other Walgreens on my own to see how many pens I could gather up before the weekend. This Balfour location is one of three that helped save the day. Mike went out of his way to locate the pens in his store and hold them all at the register for me until I was able to pick them up. I am so grateful for his assistance in solving my dilemma. It may seem like a minor thing, but organizing an entire clinic to take orders, collect money and find items for a charity event is time consuming. This Balfour location really did help me save the day and I am so appreciative to them and to Mike and Vinny specifically. Thank you! read more
