I must continue to write and hopefully reach the culprit behind my attitude by describing a behavior in detail. An ignored innocent behavior that could lead to someone losing his or her life due to negligence by people who are appointed to serve the public. Speaking specifically of the pharmacist at this location 4010 W. Lawrence Chicago Illinois 60630. Instead of having an attitude with the things I say why not ask yourself if I am lying about anything that I am subject oo. First of all the the pharmacist only concern/focus should be to dispense the medication to the customer/patient. Really simple...this is not the dating game, trying to figure out this, figure out that, playing games, etc. I am 67 years old and I many times be in excruciating pain. There are many challenges before making it to the pharmacist; however, I do my part. I go to bed at night, I try to exercise 3-5 times a week, I drink plenty of water, I don't drink, smoke, nor drug, I go to bed at night trying to get at least 7 or 8 hours of sleep at night, I get up and shower, iron my clothes for appointments, shave, etc. These are the things I have learned to do in order to keep everything organized. And sometimes there are unforseen obtacles and that's life. However, you have staff here with a consistent patterned behavior that causes backlogs, agitation, and confusion. Thereafter taking it out on the client for simply coming to pick up his or her medication. The incompetence has trickled to my primary care site. Having my primary doctor to resubmit prescriptions that I was told had been deleted by a pharmacist name "Alfredo". This correspondence has caused confusion amongst 3 Walgreens locations and also my primary care site. Walgreens 3019 W. Peterson Chg. Ill. 60659, Walgreens 6149 N. Western Chg. Ill. 60659.. Final note...we are responsible for our actions as adults. We are obligated to serve. Before serving there is a preparation. Showering, shaving, ironing, going to bed at night, etc. Each member of the team has the same obligation. If anyone drops the ball anywhere down the line its going to effect the whole process of the day. Staying up til 3:00 a.m in the morning smoking, drinking, etc. getting up and running out the door with wrinkle fatigues and yesterdays jelly on your sleeve. Didn't brush your teeth, didn't bathe, etc. Now coming in with an attitude with the customers when all I came there for is my medication. Each one teach one. I went in for a COVID test and a flu test early Sept of this year. There were issues booking the flu test online (which I explained) but they were helpful and still performed it. I waited a few days (was told the rapid NAAT would provide results pretty quickly.) I called them - they told me they couldn't find my tests put me on hold for 20 min and hung up. I contacted the manufacturer of the tests, they couldn't help. I contacted Walgreen's corporate they didn't help. So I disputed the charges with my bank / which they denied. Eventually my COVID test result came in a month later. I have no idea whatever happened to the flu test I paid for. Never rec'd a result or explanation. Will not be going to this location for vaccines or prescriptions. read more

Anytime I've had to use the pharmacy I've had ridiculous wait times. This most recent time I decide to use the express checkout via the app so that I could just show my barcode, get my prescription and leave. No one was tending the express checkout and there were 4 people in front of me. And it took 20-25 minutes waiting in line to get my prescription. That is kind of an absurd wait time especially if you're looking for an express checkout. Not everyone is physically capable of waiting in a line that long for a prescription and Walgreens needs to do better. The pharmacy manager also really messed up on my boyfriend's very important prescription and they were extremely rude to him about it instead of being apologetic and helpful. Quite possibly the worst pharmacy location out there. I've gone here twice for my prescription and first time they said there was an "insurance issue" even though i updated it in the app. I requested the refill again and CALLED ahead of time and they said my prescription would be ready end of day. I went next day just to be safe. I arrive and they said there's no prescription on file for me. How. How is that possible when I called the day before and they saw the prescription and said it would be ready in an hour. Like how do you guys keep screwing up so badly? They told me they're sorry and to come back in an hour. I've been checking the app and it says "sorry we're behind. Your prescription is delayed." These pharmacists must've graduated bottom of their class. This is important medicine for my brain and they can't get anything right. What a joke of a Walgreens. read more

Update: 75 hours in, and still waiting for PCR results from this place. Worthless. Went in Thursday at 3p for a Covid test. Email confirmation said wear a mask, go inside and report to the pharmacy counter. They looked at me slack-jawed and told me to go get in my car and go through the drive thru. Fine. Waited a few minutes for the two cars ahead of me, then a full 20 minutes while several employees poked at the computer screen and shuffled papers trying to figure out how to conduct the transaction. Aren't you doing this all day, every day? Results for the rapid test should take 2 hours, PCR test up to 48 hours (with an asterisk for extenuating circumstances). I'm 49 hours in and it occurs to me I never got the rapid test results. I call. Have to call the pharmacy number three times because you get transferred to Walgreens central, who then tell you to call the local pharmacy. (Um... I did). The hold message says PCR results can take up to 72 hours. Most everywhere else it's 24, so that seems pretty excessive, to say nothing of ineffective if you need to alert people of potential exposure in time for them to behave accordingly. That say they don't have me down for the rapid test, so I should just sit tight. Lots of better ways to get this done. Choose one of them. read more

By far the worst and most unmanaged Walgreens I've ever. I scheduled a Pfizer booster and then waited around with my clipboard to be called up for my appointment. When I asked 30 minutes later they told me they were waiting on my clipboard before I was in queue. Then i was told they were out of the shots. Another time I printed documents online. After 3 call attempts, someone in Photo told me they were ready. 4 minutes later I was in store. But nobody was available in Photo. Gave up after 15 minutes of ringing, asking the cashier, and waiting. Came back the next morning and had the same experience, but got another store associate to check for my documents and they were not there/ready. Why is there no accountability for such unacceptable customer service in this world anymore? read more

When calling the pharmacy, instead of answering the phone they will pick it up, immediately put you on hold so the phone stops ringing and "bothering" them and then proceed to not answer till you hang up. -5 stars. read more

HORRIBLE service at the pharmacy here. No wonder CVS is taking over. Everytime I come to the drive-thru or even inside the store, it seems as if all the pharmacy techs are literally walking around to pass time while customers are waiting LOL. I have even had an experience where someone took my script, told me to come back within the hour, and when I came back they had told me the medication wasnt available, I did file a complaint with corporate for that but jeez are you that incompetent? If I could give this Walgreens zero stars, I would! Pharmacy has complete incompetency. My insurance has dictated I use Walgreens. Only go to this store if you are a masochist. More than an hour and still completely wrong and not just on one instance but every instance. It's not that hard people! This Walgreens is crazy if moms and children use this place as their playground. I went at 1115 hour on a non-festive Saturday morning, and it was quiet and everything was in order. My mission was to get charmin toilet papers since we were out of them. I was able to find them. There were items in the past that were out by the end of the week and they could care less on re-stocking them. However, today's trip was smooth. The cashier was nice and actually greeting you like a human being. You usually have to take the initiatives asking them to punch in the phone number if you don't have the balance rewards card with you or to redeem points. I used a manufacturer's coupon like I always do (I'm a couponer). The check-out experience was speedy. This Walgreens is usually a hit-or-miss, depending on what time of the day. They usually mark the items with the right signs, unlike the CVS on Pulaski (they are freakin' bad about putting the marketing underneath the items. Sometimes they just didn't care). This truly helps when I'm trying to match the right coupons with the correct items. read more

This review is specifically about the photo department. So, I bring my film into the store at about 11:30P on a Saturday night. It's quiet and the girl at the main check out counter is flirting with a customer while he chats her up. I proceed to the photo counter, where there isn't a soul around, and wait. And wait, and. . . . wait "Excuse me, is anyone working in the photo department?" PA "Customer need assistance in photo." Enter, stage left, Mr. Assist-er. A giant specimen of a man, old and new food stains intermingling on his shirt as he continues to suck the food from between his teeth and look at me with a mildly interested look. Sparing most of the rest of the details, I wanted a double set of both rolls of film and a CD with one of them. Not freaking brain surgery. He was simply daft. I figured I had gotten through to him when he told me he'd been developing my pictures himself and I said to make the CD to go along with the roll of film with baby pictures on it. I picked up the film this morning and the ass had made a CD for the wrong film. There was no point talking to a manager because that would not have solved the timing problem. I use this Walgreens exclusively for the pharmacy. They are always helpful, speedy, and knowledgeable. I can see that they have high patience for customer with language barrier or hard to understand their medication. They always ask if there is any questions about medication. Well, at least for me they do. I never had a problem with picking up my prescription ever. Other than the pharmacy, this Walgreens is pretty small compared to others. It is a tad messier but I can't give them a problem with that since the location is smack into a busy intersection. This is a hit or miss location base on what you are looking for. read more

This is a very clean, new space with a pretty solid selection. About what you'd expect from a Walgreens. Be warned, getting in and out of the shopping center can be a mess since the Lawrence/Pulaski intersection is basically a circus. Don't plan on exiting East on Lawrence or North on Pulaski without some drama, including but not limited to horn blowing, obscene gestures, dirty looks and overly aggressive driving directed your way. I've also noticed that though there is a good sized parking lot, it is almost always full in the evening, I suspect a lot of people park there illegally. Still, it's usually reasonably easy to squeeze into a space assuming you don't mind door dings. read more

This Walgreens sucks. They don't have enough of the advertised items in stock, SIMPLE items like chewing gum and chocolate. The workers are lazy, was waiting at the pharmacy and saw one of the workers just push one of the carts towards the wall and knocked a bunch of packages of who-knows-what, didn't care to see what he knocked, off the shelf and just walked away. He didn't even bother cleaning up his own mess. I basically travel to the Walgreens on Peterson and Lincoln, WAY better than this one. read more

This pharmacy is maddening...long hold times no matter what time of day you call... On the few occasions I have had to call.. they put me on hold and then after ten minutes on hold the call drops. Not sure if its an incompetent person not paying attention or their phone system sucks. the store is always with only one cashier and this makes for very long lines...most of the time though they are pretty pleasant despite the rush but the fact that its always crowded and the pharmacy dept seems to always be short staffed makes me avoid this store even though its the closest. read more

I'm on a mission to enjoy this glorious, bright, warm, gorgeous spring day off by sunbathing in my back yard with the Baby Beagle, a paperback Edith Wharton novel (The Buccaneers), a chilly pitcher of homemade mojitos and the only thing to make it better? A cheap mani-pedi. A girl who had the cutest herringbone print nails ever told me the Sally Hansen nail strips were everlasting. I had a crush on her manicure, but didn't want to play twinsies so I bought the sexy black lace print- OMG- less than $10 for all tools included, screw-up-proof mani-pedi? Not a myth. It is supposed to last up to 10 days. Fun to apply, no dry time, has survived the daily rigors (heavy-duty cleaning products, hand washing and hand sanitizer applications) of a doctor's office. Can't say that about gels or standard polish, which will get chipped, faded, stripped or peeled within the first day of wear at work. I might go back and buy more... because so many people keep stopping me to tell me how cool it looks! You should try it. While you are at it, if you don't grow your own mint, Make a juice spritzer with equal parts seltzer water and white grape juice (or you can use cranberry, cherry, pineapple, orange, whatever you like), rock your favorite summer bikini, relax, read, soak up the sun and play ball in the yard with the puppy!
