The pharmacy is quick... they actually have things ready when they say they will. They go above and beyond to contact the dr if your prescription isn't covered. I have used Walgreens photo for years for gifts. (Canvas Prints mostly) I order to be picked up at another store (Out of my area or out of state) I was informed by Walgreens, they no longer let you pre-pay! The "GIFT" has to be paid for when picked up... So now the person receiving the gift has to pay for their own gift.. Or I will have to send them the money... They have to cash a check... before they can go get their "GIFT" The last Canvas print I ordered at the Chino store was destroyed by the person behind the counter, who by first getting the order wrong, (It was supposed to have a black frame)nI paid for a frame!! So... in trying to fix the problem (They didn't have the correct frame) they tried to jam the canvas print into a frame that wasn't the right one. While my husband waited... A half hour or more. They destroyed the Canvas print they had just made. Walgreens has deteriorated in customer service, service on line, and the Pharmacy is not any better (per the reviews i've read) I sorry to see this co. go down hill, but I will not go there anymore. I will transfer my prescriptions to a neighboring drug store. It's a shame, Walgreens used to be a good store. eventually they will be closing stores, and gone will be jobs, I feel sorry for the workers, but customers leave when they are no longer satisfied with the service they get. I've come here twice, the first time looking for gripe water for the newborn. I couldn't find it and had to ask for help. The person at the counter never heard of it but he asked the manager and he was able to find it. Great customer service. The location sucks as it is not easy to get in and out of depending on which way you are coming or going. But this also explains the awesome Redbox. I probably shouldn't say anything but if you want a hard to find movie try this one. Due to the difficult location no one uses the Redbox here. read more

I am forced to give them one star. Went to Walgreens, because I had a horrible cough + a fractured wrist, and CVS did not have the cough syrup I needed, along with the pain meds, so I ended up at Walgreens. Tired and irritated, I settled for " we will need to verify your prescription tomorrow." Okay, fine. 6 DAYS LATER, I am yet to get my script, and my doctors office told me that they (Walgreens) said they will not be filling any narcotics for me in the future, because the signatures on the script and the verification form are not identical, and it is really fishy (Although, they spoke to the doctor). FISHY? My chest is hurting and my wrist is throbbing, but your "opinion" is that it's fishy. Well Walgreens- I am okay with not giving you my hard earned money. Walgreens Pharmacy used to be better then CVS pre Covid; but now they are terrible!! Long wait times to speak to a pharmacy employee; long wait time to pick up a refill; long wait time to get a vaccine. Poor staffing and slowwwwwww service! Also some of the staff is rude! I was really disappointed with Walgreens Chino Hills for inefficiency in sampling for PCR test and very very slow handling/processing of the samples. I got sampled around 3PM Friday, checked at Aegis lab website late Sat, Sun, and Mon AM but the lab hasn't received the sample yet. I needed result for travel but Walgreens does not seem to practice urgency in this matter. Folks, I don't recommend Walgreens for COVID 19 PCR testing at all...their management in this matter is very very poor. read more

This Walgreens gets a shining 5 star rating solely because of Dorothy. I've come in a few times to grab a few things and Dorothy is always behind that register greeting EVERY customer that comes in. She's extremely professional and always such a bright ray of sunshine. She is very kind and patient with every customer she helps, she never fails to make my day when I swing by. I look forward to seeing her whenever I visit and I consciously choose this Walgreens over other nearby stores to receive her fantastic customer service. I do not recommend ordering any kind of photos from this Walgreens. Terrible quality. I've had multiple issues with canvases and basic 4x6 prints and they never seem to be able to fix the issue. Better off going to CVS or Costco. read more

Just had a very bad customer service from a store clerk Johanna and all I need to do was to drop off 2 packages for FedEx to pick up. She was there at FedEx counter and leaving for the cashiers area as soon as she saw me heading there. No customers or any one at the cashiers area at that time! After a while she headed back to the FedEx counter after a customer signaled to her on his way out that I've been waiting. she was full of attitude on handling a simple request. I'm glad I've been going to CVS across the street and didn't need to deal with this until now. read more

The pharmacists are terrible. I have had many interactions with them and feel they are on a powertrip. I take the same medication everyday and get it filled monthly. The worst pharmacy ever. Stay away! We had an appointment for my kid's COVID vaccine. We arrived on time and no one checked the temperature when we arrived. There were only two staffs at pharmacy section. After we provided all information to the front desk girl, she just left us and for the next 30 minutes all we saw was she answered phones and busy at something else. Eventually we had to ask the other staff, who I believe should be pharmacist, when we may get a shot. She checked and seemed confused that we actually were waiting to get a shot. That was the time she asked us to fill out a paper form because they don't have information. Apparently the form we filled out online meant nothing to them. The front desk girl didn't even tell us the form was needed when we provided our appointment time and insurance card to her. What worse was we then heard the pharmacist gave a shot to someone who came after us without an appointment! I had my own shot at CVS in Walnut. Compare with this one, it is much better and professional. The Walgreens doesn't have a person to check your temperature at the check in counter. They don't really care at all and are not well prepared for doing shots. They are unorganized and seems too busy at their regular schedules already. I will suggest to avoid this pharmacy if you have other choices. I am not sure how well they may handle their daily works. It seems to me that the assistant in the pharmacy is not too helpful. If a pharmacist needs to take care of most things, it definitely means this pharmacy has some problems. This Walgreens is a place you should try to avoid. read more

I had to wait for a long time on drive thru fact that 2 cars after my car left that shows you how long I was waiting They claim they don't know when there is other cars besides what is in front of the window . Best pharmacy. The pharmacist is very professional and the drive thru is always fast, faster than the CVS across the street. CVS has two drive-thrus but only one window, wth? Also, CVS does not have space to pull over in case there is a wait, so you have to exit the the area and turn around. Sounds like no big deal but it's kind of annoying when there is traffic and you can't make the u-turn. Not the case at Walgreens. read more

Very friendly staff and they even help you with coupons if you don't have any. Only fault is that they sometimes make you go back to beauty to pay for your stuff when there is a long line. I would rather stay where I am and wait a little bit or why don't they open the cash register right next to the other one. In the time it takes you to go back and forth from beauty, the person that was in back of you in the original line is already done. :( read more

This is the worst Walgreens I ever been to. The pharmacists there are inadequate. I can drop a prescription off in the morning and it still won't be ready by closing time. Serveral times they said they call my doctor office. When I call my doctor office they told me they try to call the pharmacist but no one pick up the phone. My doctor office also try to fax info. to Walgreens without any response. I told one of the male pharmacist there about the incident. He treated me like I wasn't telling the truth. One of the medicine I try to refill cannot be stopped all of a sudden, it causes withdraw symptoms. I was going to Walgreens on Central but decided to go with Walgreens Chino hills parkway it was closer. Not worth it!!! I plan on moving my precription back to Central Walgreens on the corner of Central and Walnuts. They are more professional. I gave a 2 stars because Carl the pharmacist tech is awesome. read more

I rented a movie and returned it the next day. But Redbox says I never returned it. I'm not a liar and if I never returned it I would pay $27.54 however they refuse to return my money. They actually told me since I have it I should enjoy watching it as often as I want. That would be great if the machine hadn't sucked it in after 1 day. I have been to many different Walgreens in my life, and this one is BY FAR my favorite! I don't even live in Chino Hills, yet it is well worth the drive to go to this location! Not only is the store always clean and fully stocked, the employees are so personable and make you feel like family! I know them all by name (as well as they always use mine.) I am so impressed with this Walgreens that I actually look forward to shopping there! I go there twice a week for my shopping needs and have never had a bad experience! Customer service is a big deal to me, and it's a mixed experience at this one. Maria is the one person there who is wonderful with service and she's always running around helping everybody. She'll check my insurance if something's wrong with the medication. But if I go through the drive-through and she's not working it, they take forever. At times, they say they'll be right with me, and then I sit there in my car for literally ten minutes. They're just slow and not attentive. It would help if they got more organized there. The only reason I go is because it's nearby. read more

It's 9pm, tired and I just came back from Walgreen. I came for the Itunes giftcards I saw online, buy $50 and get $10 Walmart giftcard. I went directly to the giftcard section and didn't see the sign I expect to find. So I asked the salesgirl and she checked her advertisement flyer and told me that spend $50 giftcard then I'll get a $10 jingle cash. Oh well, that's about the same concept, I've just have to spend $10 at Walmart next time. Not a big deal. So instead of $50, I took $100 giftcard and have her ring up the sales. At the end of the transaction, I've asked where's the jingle cash. Oh, I've no idea. Let check the ad again, it says that not good for giftcard. Well since she's the one works there, guess who's suppose to be knowledgable on the advertisement. No problem, you can return the gift cards since you didn't get what you expected. She then went back to talk to the manager. She came out and said, the $50 Itunes is only good on thanksgiving. I already don't feel so good, here we go with the poor excuses. So since she offered the return earlier, I just asked I'll return it then. She went back again to talk to the manager. The manager came out and said, "I cannot do the return either, go call the number on the receipt". What a great service!!! I worked in retail before, this is not how you treat a customer after all mistakes they've done. First not knowing the advertisement and 2ndly making poor excuses, and arguing with the customer. Good customer service would offer the $20 walgreen for their own screw-up. Oh well. what can I say. Me thinks I won't be back just because of two people.....not fair statement but I don't believe I receive a good customer service. No one apologize for their mistakes. read more

This is the worest walgreens I have ever been to and will never shop here again. I ran in to grab a few items when I got to the register the clerk was very nice. My chip on my card was not work and it would not let me run it as credit. I run my card as credit everywhere for the points. The clerk called the manager for assistance. We waited patiently and continued with small talk. Once the manger whose name is Sincliar Loi showed up he was very rude. He made me feel like I was a piece of trash. He first asked if it was even my card!! Then demanded to see my id which I handed over willingly. Afterwards he refused to even try to run it manually. I asked him why he could not when I could see on the screen the option to enter card. He firmly and cold replied with he couldn't. I felt so embrassed and told him that it was a shame that they have a huge sign for Navy federal and MILITARY bank hang up but refused to except my USAA card which is another military bank. my card was not declined just not working properly. I am disgusted with this manager's level of professionalism. He should not be allowed to work at a store that supports the military let alone be a manager. read more

After switching over to Walgreens from CVS, I made the right move. The second I walked into this store, I was greeted by friendly staff. The store is very well stocked and neat. I asked one of the clerks for help locating an item, he immediately brought me over to the shelf were I was able to find the item. He was very courteous and attentive. They have found a new and satisfied customer. read more
