My wife's diabetes sensor accidentally came off. She had only brought one with us to Sedona. When we called and spoke to the pharmacy tech, she said, No problem. Since it was a replacement sensor, it should've cost over $140, but the tech was able to get the price down to just over $30. When I arrived at the store, the front counter employee walked me over to get some additional products. Since I didn't know the store, she was very helpful. I went back to the pharmacy to get the sensor and met the technician. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Also in that I couldn't find the special bandages used to cover the sensor. She knew exactly where they were and walked me over. Then she rang up my entire order in the pharmacy so I didn't have to go back to the front checkout. What a wonderful young person. I really dislike shopping at this store. Every time I stop in I have trouble getting help from employees. Last time I was carrying 2 large boxes and a male employee looked right at me a walked the other direction as I was opening my mouth to ask a question. Do not get online Passport Photos here. They don't work. There is a shadow in the background that the online system will not accept. Walgreens can't fix this. You can use the mail in photos. They work fine. read more

The person behind the counter at the pharmacy is not the least bit friendly. He doesn't make eye contact, he doesn't smile, any provisional helpful information whatsoever unless you know what to ask. He would not call the doctor to get my prescriptions renewed, and didn't tell me that I would need to do if anything, next. Fortunately I asked him After he said "we're done" and turned to the next customer. No help whatsoever. Very disappointed! The worst experience I've had with the pharmacy in a long long time. Sonny at the pharmacy counter goes above and beyond for his customers. A few weeks ago my prescription was not ready quite yet- still in their shipping boxes from the shipment they had just received. Instead of telling me to come back later- he had it ready within 10 minutes, while also assisting other customers! He really makes my day everytime he is there. He seems like he truly cares about providing his guests with a seamless, smooth experience. On top of handling business swiftly, he offers pleasant personable conversation, and a warm smile everytime. I feel supported, reassured, and confident when leaving this pharmacy. I used to go to Walgreens for all my prescriptions. I know, I know, you've heard it all before. I will no longer be a customer. Reading other comments, it seems to be the norm here...poor customer service. I haven't used your store for several months now and here is why...I have been pretty sick. I was coughing very bad almost non stop and needed the medicine my doctor called in. I have no insurance. I have no coverage. The medicine was approx $100 but I needed to stop coughing, so I stood in line. Lots of people in line. I looked over your Walgreens app and there are options in there to save money. There's actually an option to look up coupons for prescriptions. I had 2 prescriptions I was picking up for over $100. I get up to the front and Sonny calls me up and I say I have some coupons, he interupts and says the coupons have all been taken off already but my cost was still the same, over $100. The coupons would have saved me over $80! My cost would have been approx $20 using the options YOU have thru the Walgreens app. Sonny refused to go look it up or do anything about. I wasnt going to stand and argue with a long line of other sick people behind me. Sonny cost me over $80 because he refused to do his job. I still have the screenshots of the coupons for the prescriptions I picked up that day. But you lost a customer because your employee refused to use options available thru your own business model. I know you don't care. But I am posting for others to know that Walgreens employees absolutely DO NOT go above and beyond. They don't even do the bare minimum. $80 is alot to people with no insurance and barely scraping by. At least the prescription worked because Sonny sure didn't. read more

A bit of a depressing atmosphere here. This store needs freshening up and considerable attention put into the parking, exits and entry. First off - the entry and exit into the parking lot is awkward and even dangerous. There appears to be one way in which is confusing and the exit is not clearly marked and looks like an entry- it states "do not enter" with signs, but when we exited people kept entering anyway as they too were confused or were blindly entering anyway, and a car entering the "exit only" almost ran into us. This store needs better lighting and a good cleaning. The pharmacy needs help. The pharmacist with a beard was kind - knowledgeable and very good at answering questions. The pharmacy was very quiet when we were there and the pharmacist was busy filling snd stocking and he still made time for us and did not make us feel we were bothering him. The tech/cashier, however, with dark hair was curt and rude and he did not seem to know what he was doing and perhaps in over his head. He had a sour expression and we felt we were bothering him though he appeared to have nothing to do and we were unsure of his role. So poor was his attitude and communication, he made it uncomfortable and was very unhelpful. On a positive, great home products and some cute plants here! - we also love the snacks here , lots of variety and hard to find items for munchies. Please don't change this. :) read more

What a horrible pharmacy. Had a standard flu shot appt and had to wait over 45 minutes past the appt because the older lady couldn't figure out the insurance (even tho I've been there multiple times). The employees are slow, uncaring and worst of all you can't understand the pharmacist because she mutters and speaks so fast. It's as if they all hate their jobs. I'm done wasting my time here. But, if they're short-staffed then Walgreens needs to spend some of those profits they're making right now on additional support for these techs. Waiting in a line for a covid19 test should not take as long as it did. The first car in the drive-through line did not move for 10 minutes, and there 3 more ahead of me. I'm done with this Walgreens! Drive thru is ridiculously slow. The poor clerk has to work the inside counter and the drive thru. This takes forever and there are usually at least 5 cars in line ahead of you. You can't reach anyone in the phone....ever. One day they just closed the entire pharmacy. I learned from another pharmacy in town that it was due to the pharmacist being on vacation and they had no backup. They are unable to open the pharmacy if there isn't a pharmacist present. Poor management to say the least. Waited 40 minutes recently inside to get a pre scheduled booster shot. Did make a complaint with the head quarters folks before switching to Fry's. Worst passport photo service! The staff is rude and unknowledgeable about the photo guidelines.

I called Walgreen's and asked about taking Canadian Passport pictures, and they said yes. I downloaded and printed the instruction for the pictures from the Canadian Web Site, the manager did not even wanted to look at them but tock the pictures and send me on my way. They were wrong, good thing we didn't send them to Canada and waited a month or so only to tell us that they are no good. Very expensive hotels here in Sedona. Worse than that the manager send us on our way ans asked us not come back into Walgreen's!!! We got our money back but were left out in the cold! Terrible experience! read more

This pharmacy is always ridiculously busy and understaffed. Not to mention how rude some of the staff can be. When you arrive at 08:05 to pick up your prescription that was sent in the previous day and are greeted with you need to realize we opened only 4 minutes ago. Then to never have medications in stock. I waited 4 days for ear drops and 6 days for migraine rescue medications. I cannot believe how horrible the service is and nothing changes, even when you email corporate. Plan on going elsewhere for medications. read more

Pharmacy issued the incorrect glucose test strips, paid 45.00 for them with insurance. Showed pharm technician my OneTouch Verio meter and she issued me the OneTouch Ultra test strips. The pharmacy would not take them back and reissue the correct ones. It was not a medication and put my health at risk for not exchanging the test strips. Purchased additional strips (at CVS pharmacy) for another 40.00 costing a total of 80.00 to correct the issue. I would not shop at this pharmacy in Cottonwood AZ. I will no longer be using or recommending this pharmacy for any of my medical needs. I also work in Healthcare in the immediate area. I give this pharmacy 0 stars for customer service. read more

I ordered some items through DoorDash from Walgreens and they cancelled the order with no good reason! Unacceptable.

I was initially very impressed with this Walgreens, but for the past week I've had a terrible time getting them to file my insurance information properly - even though they did it correctly the first time. I am having had my prescription transferred to another pharmacy as a result. They are very polite and friendly, but wouldn't call the number I gave them to correct the erroneous information even after two personal visits. They smile and say ok and never try to correct it. read more

I love this Walgreens, it's close to work and everyone is friendly and helpful. Some things are expensive, but they always have a good sale on drinks and snack which is my reason for going. The store is always clean and not overly busy, so no long lines. read more

I was in a tramindous amount of pain, could barely speak, and was filling a pain relief rx. I asked how long it would take and the older lady with red hair in a ponytail tail replied "in a minute". I've never heard that response before, but I went and got a magazine to read. After 40 minutes of excruciating pain, I asked if my rx was ready and she went & got it. I got into my car & looked at my phone & saw I had missed a text. It was from walgreens saying my rx was ready 30 minutes before I went up and asked!!! This has to be the WORST Walgreens I have ever used! I have been a customer of Walgreens for 20 yrs. I lived in Florida and I also have traveled a lot so I have used Walgreens in many cities. We moved to Cottonwood a year ago so I was glad there was one close by to transfer my prescriptions to. I have a lot of medical problems and have been seen by some of the best doctors in the country, so I need my medications to try to live a semi-normal life. We order what we can through our insurance, but some things I have to get from a local Pharmacy. I always have my doctor call in medication on Thursday before my refill date which always falls on a Monday in case they need to order the meds. 9 out of 10 times on Monday they tell me one of two things: 1) We never received the prescription, which is BS 2) We don't have the amount of medication. I have given them one year to get this resolved with NO success. It is time to find a new Pharmacy! They never take responsibility for their mistakes. They always blame the customer or someone else. My daughter was waiting in a LONG line yesterday to try and pick up my meds and every single person ahead of her had problems with the staff. They were slow, rude, and blaming customers for THEIR MISTAKES! For example: there was an older gentlemen who dropped off a prescription and he was told it would be ready in two hours. He came back to get it and they could not find it and ask him FIVE times RUDELY if he was sure he dropped it off there and who did he give it to. He told them yes he was sure and the person he gave it to was the one asking all the questions!! They had lost his prescription!! My daughter told me that most of the customers in line ahead of her had some kind of problem with the staff. They always blame customer, doctor, etc., and NEVER take responsibility for their inadequacy! Needless to say, this is not what I would expect from such a well known Pharmacy, but as I have stated, I have been patient, given them a chance, but sorry you do not deserve my business anymore! read more

i dropped off my script from the doctor and they said a couple of hours to fill it. well i went home 8 miles away and came back the nest day 24 hours later. sorry still not filled. so i had to go inside and sit for 20 minutes till they got their act together. then my charge was 18 bucks because it was not covered medication. i went online and found the same stuff at www.healthwarehouse.com for 1/2 the price. i will never buy anything from walgreens again. read more
