This costco has an amazing selection of products to choose from and good customer service. it's clean, stocked, has a gas station with a nice view of the mountains and scenery, and a safe environment. I prefer shop at this costco over others I have been to. The one major criticism is the parking lot can be a pain. Besides there being angled parking and of course like every costco it's busy. This can make it frustrating to get a parking space during hours as well as make it hard to even get a space. Might have to park at the nearby pet smart instead if you can't get a space. Otherwise it's a good and fun shop at costco. read more

Caution!!! Tire Center is negligent! Within the 1st year of taking my vehicle to the tire center in Prescott, Arizona, I've noticed the employees being negligent and LAZY! 1st) I took my vehicle in for a standard tire balance and rotation. One of my rims is missing a piece on it. Service is done and the same front driver tire with missing rim trim is on the same spot!! They also charge you for a new stem without needing it. They added the windshield sticker for 9,000 miles for the next service-which they constantly deny doing. They state it's every 6-8K miles 2nd) next tire balance and rotation, 6K miles later, they say it's too premature for the service an hour after my appointment and don't do it! At this point I am done dealing with these lazy incompetent employees! Hope Costco employs grateful people and hope this helps people keep track of their vehicles and not blindly trust ungrateful employees. At my previous Costco tire center was in North Phoenix and it was every 5K miles. In Prescott, they claim entry 6-8K miles and I personally had 9K miles for the next service. KEEP IN MIND, PRESCOTT IS HIGHER IN ELEVATION AND WE DRIVE UP AND DOWN HILLS AND MOUNTAINS ALL THE TIME! Stay safe people. read more

I love Costco. I love it! Parking is always crazy at Costco but my Lord... I think because this is the only one in Northern Arizona that's why it's so insane here. Actually left and did other things and came back because we couldn't find parking. We were on a bit of a time crunch so I couldn't check out their pizza which I've heard good things about. read more

Costco has been the perfect store over all for us - cheerful, helpful staff, very good pricing on most items (you still have to be aware on some items which end up being very close to retail) but over all mostly great prices that save your family $$$. The quality of the fresh beef and organic selections of meat, vegetables, and dairy are awesome. We buy all our non-seed oils here. Two minor complaints: Would like to see more non seed oil snacks and chips, and non-fluoridated tooth paste. Tejava bottled tea should be carried all year, not just seasonal for Arizona locations. A good Costco and the gas price is usually better than in the valley or further up north. The food court has more seating or at least more space than other Costco stores and the samples are plentiful too, generally. There's as much inventory here as any other location and the staff are efficient and friendly too from my experience. Parking can be challenging given this is the only Costco for most of northern AZ, but people are constantly coming and going so it usually won't take too long to find a spot. Overall, this is a good Costco to shop at, and it is conveniently located on the main highway for easy access. read more

Pretty solid Costco experience ! I'm not sure if it's because we're used to huge, busy Costcos in Texas or if it's because we were here on a slow Tuesday afternoon, but we enjoyed it. Despite being slightly smaller than Costcos were used to, it still has all the usual items and sections. We didn't browse too much since we were on a mission - stocking some beverages for our wedding. The liquor selection was great! Wine was pretty good too. Unfortunately we felt the seltzers, beer, and champagne options to be quite lacking The staff we interacted with were absolutely amazing! They were all very positive, upbeat, and helpful. We did try to get smoothies on our way out but the smoothie machine was broken. They had like an icy mocha cold brew though that while sweet was perfect as we rolled our cart out into the hot sunny parking lot. read more

I don't know if it's because this Costco is the only one around for miles, or if it is always super busy on a Sunday, but wow! Finding a place to park was crazy, and as many people were entering the store as exiting it. We found a couple of things that we haven't seen yet at the Costcos down in Phoenix, so that was exciting, and this location had clothing from Banana Republic...huh? We used self checkout, because we only had a few items, and, as usual, checkout was easy-peasy. One oddity that we actually thought was pretty cool, was that the gas station was in another area, sort of off property from the store. This meant that no gas lines were bocking traffic into, out of, or just IN the store's lot. Also, the pumps were 4 in a row, making waiting times sooooo little. Costco is Costco. Same everywhere. We first joined in Seattle area back in 1994 when it was barely known. We lived in the UK and used it there. Used it in many CONUS sites and Hawaii. The people are always ver courteous and nice. You can return any item for replacement or full refund. We've never had any issues or problems. Other than they are insanely crowded at times. But it's worth it. A trivia statement a hotdog and soda is still $1.50 plus tax. Hawaii and CONUS. Now beat that since 1994!!! read more

I lived in Prescott for about 6 months and Costco gave me a bit of familiarity for the time being. This Costco is not nearly as crowded as my home Costcos in LA County. I have gotten great deals on clothing here too (when they are on clearance), such as shorts for $2-3, pants for $5, button down shirts for $3... This is something that I rarely ever see in LA County. Costco provided me with access to fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as other products that I'm familiar with. My only complaint is that this Costco does not carry lactose-free milk (and neither do the ones in Phoenix) and I'm not really sure why. The employees are pretty nice and efficient here. They tend to do small talk more than the employees in LA, but I think that's more of a Prescott thing than anything else! :) read more

This is the most poorly run Costco I've ever visited. Having been a costco customer since it enveloped price club many years ago, I have frequented at least 20 locations across the country. I've found the Prescott "valley" location to be the most poorly run and its employees to generally have a repulsive attitude if not downright rude to its customers. This store also has stale/rotten produce, stale hard as brick bakery items, including packaged goods. The meats/fish have progressively gotten worse while increasing in price. Costco frozen goods/kirkland products have additionally decreased in value and become garbage. read more

I am 5'2" and a few days ago, a 6' 3", 240 lbs man schmoozing with one of the the vendors, backed up and hit me as I was opening a freezer door. He started to scream at me and I felt threatened. A great place if you want to be treated like cattle by arrogant store workers who feel empowered to do this because they are 'associates'. Now, to get in you need to scan your card on some janky wobbly scanner and the associates who work the entrance will jabber at you and treat you like a criminal if your worn out card doesn't scan. When you mention this to Member Services, they don't care. It doesn't slow down their insulting too chummy banter or attempt to pitch you some scammy promo or talk to you like a small child about why you should install the spyware Costco app. Most produce in the store is actually significantly more expensive than the Walmart two blocks down the street. Amazingly, Walmart is also a much nicer shopping experience and you don't have to pay to shop there. Finally, this Costco parking lot is insanely dangerous and stressful. Boomers driving too fast, other boomers walking out in front of cars without looking. There have been a few pedestrian vs vehicle incidents so far this year including one fatality. It is a microcosm of everything that is wrong in Prescott. read more

The changes they made with the card readers take away the friendly and inviting presence. Employees seem to be more stressed out and are in turn a lot ruder than usual. I realize there's a shortage of eggs and it's difficult to source right now but last weekend, they had regular eggs (Prairie Star Farms...not even cage free) for the same price/dozen that they charged for organic eggs the previous weekend. No Yellow bags of Water Softener Salt & no Oil for my Diesel Truck. Both of which I can get at other Costco stores. I didn't this VERY ODD as the water in this area is very hard and a water softener is required and as this Costco is once or only two stores that sells diesel, it's clear you have members with diesel vehicles. To me, this is very poor inventory management and not realizing the needs of your customers. read more

Also, Costco does not have an email address for customer service. They have insulated themselves very well from customer feedback. The employees seem to be consistently in non-friendly moods. There are not smiles or pleasantries from the employees. You almost feel like you are imposing on them by being there as a customer. Costco's are basically all the same, so not a lot to say in a review. All of merchandise was well organized. The employees were friendly. Like many other stores, they are going towards self check out, which we used. The line went very quickly. This store still has a lot of full service check out lanes too. read more

It would be very helpful if the isles were labeled at the end so you know what was down which aisle and you don't have to go through the whole store looking for things. I have shopped at Costco for decades! Starting when it was Price Club, then Price Costco and now Costco. I have never written a complaint and to my recollection, other than 1 experience with one very rude employee in the Prescott store, I've never experienced anything but excellent service. This complain is NOT about service. Rather it is about a product. I know this complaint will seem small but when you pay over $6.00 for one small loaf of bread, it's huge to me! The brand is InnKeeper. Last week the Prescott Store was giving out samples of InnKeeper Bed & Breakfast Caramel Apple Bread. Admittedly, it is delicious. The problem is that it completely falls apart when you attempt to take a slice or two out of the bag. You end up losing about a third of the loaf just because of the small pieces that fall off of it. When you pay this much money for a loaf of bread, you expect to be able to toast each slice--not two-thirds of each slice. I could not make it as French Toast, because when I put it into an egg-milk mixture it completely falls apart. The one and only slice that didn't fall apart was the end piece and that's because it was so thick. In fact, about twice the thickness of all the other slices! This bread, no matter the flavor or ingredients should NOT cost 6+ dollars per loaf! The Milling company that makes this bread should be aware of this problem. Perhaps make each slice thicker like a Texas Toast thickness! ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH WHAT IS CHARGED!!!! read more

Prices for gas at this Costco and at gas stations in this immediate vicinity were $.10 less per gallon than at other gas stations in Prescott. The lines were longish here for gas (In part due to the holiday weekend) but moved quickly. As for the goods inside, we were able to find a certain item in the exact model/production run we had been looking for but had been unable to find in the Phoenix area which was a pleasant surprise. I must agree with one of the other posters on the Prescott Location but its not just one employee. There are many employees that are great and try to be and Are helpful, but there are a number of others that treat the customers, like WE are the enemy. I also agree with the poster about the management. There is a manager (he could have cared less about providing any kind of customer service when trying to buy an Expensive item). The Culture and Attitude seem to be "US AGAINST THEM "too often now. This may be coming from the central management. Shopping at Costco now is like a "box of chocolates" (too often a sour reward), you never know what you are going to get. They need to open one up in Cottonwood or Verde. Love Costco and love that there's one in Prescott! The shelves are nicely stocked, they have samples, and there's a self check out if you choose that at the end. Costco has the best prices and best quality items across the board! Well worth the cost of the membership. Food court has self pay kiosks to skip the line as well. read more

I've been a Costco member for almost 15 years and have never had an issue until recently. This location has tanked tremendously in the last year. There's a specific employee who I have had 3 encounters with who has consistently been rude and inconsiderate. "Lori" throws your groceries around like they are bales of hay. This is zero exaggeration. Furthermore, Our baby was in the cart and she continued to literally run our cart into the cart in the checkout isle next to us. My husband grabbed the cart and moved it since she kept doing this. She got upset that we moved the cart and she had to move a little to continue to throw the groceries in the cart. I realize this is one employee but a little consideration goes a long way. A little patience goes a long way. I hope that management can address this issue because it wasn't a one time/having a bad day experience. This woman has been rude, disrespectful and very inconsiderate 3 separate times now. Those are all key attributes to have in customer service. I really hope this is addressed. read more

I went to Costco about 2 weeks ago when I had just moved here and OMG this is amazing! Before I moved, I went to a place called Sam's Club. The food was ok, the prices were expensive, and the service was slow. Now, when I went in Costco for the first time, I felt displaced, but, now that I think about it, going there was the best shopping experience I ever had! The food is great, the prices are cheap, and the service is very nice and fast! Not to mention the selection of products are amazing! Some of the products I saw I never saw before! Costco Gasoline in the lowest locally priced fuel you can get without a rewards discount, such as offered at Fry's Food and Drug. The fuel they sell, which is branded as Kirkland fuel, is tier one top quality. There is always a line at this gas station. But it moves pretty quickly, and there is an attendant who makes sure the flow continues as quickly as possible. There are no amenities here. You cannot fill your tires with air, nor add water to your radiator, nor clean your windshield. Neither are there any restaurants. Just for lanes with three pumps each to buy gasoline. One of those lanes also has diesel fuel. If they excepted ALL major credit cards they might be a 5 star in my book. But, they only except Visa branded credit cards. I believe they except all Bank's debit cards. There is no cashier so a cash option is out. Also you can't buy gas here without a Costco membership. So there's that too. read more

My Membership Nr. is: 111883206809. I shop at Costco about once a month for the 2 of us. I am 89 years old. I visited the store today, 7/11/22 and I bought 8 items. At the checkout I asked the packer for 2 boxes and he asked: "2 boxes?". I said: "Yes because I can't lift a heavy box". He started to pack while I was doing business with the courteous cashier, in showing him my membership card and paying with my debit card. I go around the bench, and sure enough the packer did not give 2 boxes, as I had requested, but a huge single box. I could have not lift it at the parking lot to transfer it into the trunk of my car. I had to find another box myself and split the contents of the box into 2 boxes. It should have not happened. The packer was very rude and unconcerned. The checkout time was 10:59AM. I live in Scottsdale, but I come to Prescott to go camping in my Toyota camper. I do appreciate this Costco location so I could get gas. I like to get the drink and hot dog to go too. And I love the samples at any Costco, for a small lunch. If I camp with others like in a MeetUp and they are going to have a potluck dinner, I will pick up a roast chicken for $5 to share as my potluck contribution, cos hardly anyone brings meat to a potluck. read more
