I felt, overall, the prices ranged from inexpensive to expensive. A small pile of knit head wraps caught my eye in the back of the store. They had different colors with each having embroidery and some sequins/rhinestones. I had my heart set on a gray, knit head wrap with bright turquoise and black embroidery all over it. It was $35 but one of the owners took an extra $5 off. Sold. While I paid for the wrap, the owner and cashier struck up conversation with my daughter and I. They were very friendly but then again, my daughter has a way of charming the pants off of people. Of all the things I purchased on my trip, this purchase at Lola was the one I am most excited about. These guys are true artists and take their headpieces and fashions to a whole new level. The other negative reviews about this place are a load of crap in my opinion. My guess is that there is some ulterior motive involved which I won't get into here but suffice to say, our experiences with this place were excellent and we found the proprietors extremely engaging and they had an artistic outlook and philosophy which was very refreshing compared to many of the stores in the area which are just selling touristy nick-knacks. I just wish they had a website because I would love to buy some headpieces and other articles of clothing to use for our fashion photography work. If you are looking for some fabulous fashion pieces which would be as at home in a modern, fashion museum as they would be at a masked ball, check this place out.

But don't expect a friend the next day if you try to return a dress that ripped within the first few minutes of wearing. Marsha, the elderly store manager at both Dahling It's You and Isn't She Lovely, spent a lot of energy trying to get my friend and I to buy expensive jackets on Thursday, even taking photos of us. (BTW, my friend's nature is so polite that I've seen her refuse to complain when there was a long hair in her food at a restaurant.) When we returned Friday with the dress (that had ripped when she sat down in the car), Marsha was immediately so hostile --as soon as she saw us walking in with a bag--I was stunned. "You don't possibly expect me to take back a dress you've worn--I'm KNOW you don't--when you know you can mend this yourself!" When I suggested the store IS responsible for selling a subpar item, she said this had NEVER happened in all the years they've been selling those dresses. She condescendingly suggested my friend might be lying...maybe it got caught in the door, etc. She pushed the item back across the counter and refused to offer even a discount for my friend's trouble. "There's nothing we can do for you." She had us over a barrel. We'd walked in with smiles, hardly said anything during Marsha's attack and treated her with respect, and walked out in shock. Everyone has bad customer service stories but this woman's attitude was over the top disrespectful, insulting and rude. Time for her to retire!

Brand new with tags and 1/3 of their retail value. In the back they have a discounted section where l found quite a few lovely treasures. A red knitted metallic sweater from Calvin Klein and a wool Cynthia Rowley wool jacket for a steal. Every time l visit Prescott l try to stop in. My best friend is here for the holidays so we plan to stop in on Black Friday (not for any Black Friday deals but just because that's when we are here) and she is so excited after hearing about it.
