We swung by this Walgreens and found it to be clean and organized, and we were quickly able to locate what we needed. Service was efficient. Parking available in the shopping center lot. A terrible system. Multiple times it has taken days to get a Rx approval, which has interrupted and delayed my treatment. And then, the medications were often sent for pickup at a different Walgreens, miles away. I've had to request that address change many times. Absurd! I don't think this is the fault of the local Pharmacists. I do believe they are struggling with a poor IT system and poor upper management. It's no wonder this corporation is struggling and closing stores. I've transferred all my business to a nearby independent, family owned Pharmacy that has an incredible reputation. They took charge and made the transfer easy. Perhaps upper management for Walgreens should check out more independently owned Pharmacies to experience how an essential care business should be run. Hello Convenience!! This is a pretty solid Walgreens with a very helpful Pharmacy department. Shelves are usually well stocked and the sales staff here is always friendly. The convenience of these stores are what I like the most. You can find everything that you need under one roof grab it and go. Now I got some time to kill so I'll throw you a brief history of this place: Walgreens was founded in 1901 in Chicago Illinois by Charles Rudolph Walgreen [told you it was gonna be brief]. Horrible pharmacy. Scripts were sent there at 3:30. Went to pick up at 5 and we were told the pharmacist never showed up. They informed us they would send the scripts to the rockaway location. However, they only sent one script over. Long story short this location told us they were an hour behind for a few hours, then closed w out filling the script. Horrible service. I will never go back and will let as many people as I can know. read more

Even though the pharmacy was backed up beyond belief, the overflow section was huge, the staff kept working hard. 2 people doing the job of 3 or 4, they were working diligently and when it was my turn professional and caring. I had bronchitis and was wiped, I asked for a cough suppressant thinking it was behind the counter, the pharmacy assistant went into the isle to get it for me and was very kind about it. It saved my sick self from dragging myself in it was so appreciated. Even with the hectic day they took care of me. They earn my business each time. read more

I have been using this location for approx 3.5 years. And in the last year or so it's customer service has dropped significantly. The lack of empathy... the lack of customer service. My final straw was today my sons c Doctor called in a prescription I called and was told it wasn't called in. Called the doctors they swore it was called in. Called Walgreens again and was told yes it was just called in but it would be a 45 min wait. I said I have a sick child with a fever. And I also explained that I was outside waiting. I was told there were other orders that needed to be filled and I had to come back. So I went home with my sick child. To then get a text message 2 hrs later that the prescription was completed. I drive down to pick it up thank goodness my son fell asleep so wasn't so bad. But I get here and I am met with sitting at the drive up window for about 6 mins. I understand people have prescriptions that need to be filled and I wasn't trying to be pushy and ask to be taken first but again I have a 3 year old with a double ear infection and a fever. This review is for the store, in general, and NOT the pharmacy...we go elsewhere for our pharmacy needs. Anyway, this is a local Walgreens that opened up a couple years ago. Although we've been CVS users forever, this Walgreens is very convenient...and for a convenience store, that's what you want. The parking here is usually fine, the staff has always been pleasant, and I always find what I need. We started having all our pictures done here as we had so many problems at the local CVS that it was easier to just switch. This is for the photo center not for the store as a whole! I always use Walgreens photo for the holidays with cards and gifts and this location happened to be on my route somewhere. I always do same day photo and this order was ready within the hour. I used the app to place my order (very easy) and received email confirmation that it would be ready by a certain time. When I went to pick up the order I was told that I would need to wait another hour for the order because they have not started printing it. Again, I've always used Walgreens just never this location. The representative assisting me was very lax about the situation and when I asked why I wasn't called when the order would not be ready in time I was told "we don't do that". Overall the location is very convenient and clean. I just wish my order went smoothly like other locations. read more

I am pretty disappointed with the Covid testing service. My daughter (19 yr old) was there recently to get a Pcr covid test since she is flying outside the country and the result came back as TNP.First of all the pharmacist didn't give her details as to how to take a good sample and that she needed to nip the swab at the black line and close the test tube. According to my daughter, the pharmacist wasn't even watching her to see whether she was doing it properly. read more

I needed a flu shot and my first shingles shot. Walgreens in Denville totally came through for me. I made my appointment online and filled out my paperwork in advance. The pharmacy department was surprisingly busy. It felt more like a health clinic than a store because so many customers were there for vaccinations. Yet things moved along swiftly and I felt that I was in very good hands. I saw much kindness and patience, especially to the older customers. read more

As far as the pharmacy goes, I've been here on two separate occasions for two separate prescriptions that were called in by doctors. Both times, the pharmacist told me it wasn't ready and to come back tomorrow. This would be frustrating in and of itself but this Walgreens has an automated system in place that asks you can to punch in the time that you want to pick up your drugs. If it was efficient, it would be worthwhile but it's not at all. Don't trust the system. Probably good advice for life in general, too. read more

The pharmacists and technicians were soooooo pleasant while dealing with me and my medications. They went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and make me feel comfortable with my transaction. Terrible customer service. A girl named Jess helped me and it was not pleasant. She made fun of my jokes and didn't make us feel welcome.

I called for information for corporate. I am shocked at the behaviour or the manager who refused to give me his name who worked at 3:22 PM in Friday 25th 2019, was the only manager in the store, and was nothing but rude since I answered the phone. He hung up on me and yelled at me again when I called back. He then bragged about how it wasn't his problem and it didn't matter that I needed his name and that I should call the store manager when she gets in another time because he was in the back room, didn't know who I was, and didn't have to tell me who he was and hung up again without helping me. The pharmacist(s) especially the pharmacists assistant (short, younger, dark brownish/black hair) is the rudest person ever. Neither of them are nice nor helpful. The pharmacist's assistant is very condescending and made me feel so dumb when I asked her a simple question. She's supposed to be helpful, especially since she's the one behind the counter but she seemed annoyed and this is not the first time she's acted this way towards my family and I. I'm taking my business somewhere else as I can't even give that little assistant the time of day. Walgreen's should not hire or employee people like her. read more
