Extremely frustrating experience with CVS Pharmacy. My prescription was transferred from one CVS to another specifically because this location confirmed they had the medication in stock. They received the transfer around 2 PM, and only after I followed up again at 5 PM was I told that it would not be filled today because they were "backed up." If I had been informed of this at 2 PM, I could have looked for another pharmacy instead of wasting hours waiting while dealing with a painful medical flare. To make matters worse, the pharmacist told me to call other CVS pharmacies myself to check stock availability (which I would have, had it not been 5PM). The pharmacists at Lower Azusa usually look up stock for you in other CVS locations. Patients should not be expected to perform inventory checks on their own, especially when in pain and trying to access prescribed medication. read more

Came here to pick up my prescription and the girl clerk was on her phone while a patient is in front of her, Unprofessional and rude.i wouldnt come here again and I also I addresse to the pharmacist and her answer is ok ok ok ok... that was it, what kind of manager is that, its common sense you would have to talk to the clerk thats a better customer service. Left the dentist and came straight to cvs for my prescription once notified. Got here at 1:20pm and was told I have to wait until 2pm to be helped since they are closed for lunch. The sign says closed starting at 1:30pm until 2pm. I am extremely upset with one of their pharmacist here at this location. My Dr had called in a refill for one of our patients and the pharmacist was extremely rude to my Dr over the phone. She kept asking him for his name to provide documentation in our patients chart and he kept ignoring her and would cut her off. He was not nice nor friendly at all. Remind you my Dr is really sick and can barely talk and is doing what she can for our patients. He eventually gave us his name which was Angel. This is very upsetting. Please do better! read more

Horrible experience time after time, I never learn my lesson with this store. I walk in to this location and head over to the shampoo section, I ring the bell bc everything in there seems to be locked up. I waited about 10 min and no one came by, finally I see a woman on the aisle next to mine opening the cases, I asked her politely if she could help me once she was available and said to give her a few moments. She came by fairly quickly but her attitude was so bad. Wouldn't look up at me and said they will be at the registers. I get in line same associate by the name of MICHELLE hopped on bc there was a long line. She called the next customer up and as soon as he starts speaking she realizes he speaks Spanish and starts YELLING I don't speak Spanish multiple times and then tells the customer YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR HER SHES W A CUSTOMER referring to her coworker The man was signaling what he needed it was a box from behind the counter I could tell what he needed- Michelle just refused to deal with him. Reviews are bad for a reason. Pharmacy average wait times are 2 hours. I even asked if I could wait hoping that it would be expedited, but only response I got from Karla (pharmacy technician) was "you'll be waiting a few hours". This is a classic sign of a bad pharmacy. L went to get beer at this location and found what was to be a fair deal. However the beer I wanted had a yellow tag on it with the sales price. I went to the counter and a manager attended to me only to find out that the price his register gave him was 5$ more that the yellow tag read. I told him that there was a sign that stated it was on sale. He scanned the beer once more and told me it wasn't on sale. I wasn't going to overpay for beer by 25% more. Their sales price was the regular price that the supermarket next to it sold the same exact item. He wasn't very helpful at all. This morning at about 8:12 am my aunt and I went to buy some makeup at the Garvey location in El Monte. As you know we had to call for assistance. Little did we know this Marisela or something she was called ( The poor cashier was too scared to tell me her name) came over to assist. Her attitude was horrendous and she was mean from the beginning to the end. She told us off and treated us like convicts. Something so wrong and terrifying as we never have experienced before at any store at any time given! She wouldn't answer any of the questions we asked, she yelled at us and Oh Man! that look like if she wanted to kill us! She's the scariest person! I can swear! I'll never set foot at that store in my entire life again. I will let everyone know about the abuse and treatment we were subjected to. If I was CVS I would fire her in a heartbeat. So my daughter got lice! I rushed to CVS, it was late I usually go to Walgreens, CVS was open later and closer to me. Anyways, I'm in the pharmacy area looking for lice shampoo. I walk down all the isle , passing an employee who is stocking shelves on isle 16. I couldn't find it, so I circled back to the employee . I said "excuse me" and she just looked at me with an annoyed face, and didn't say anything. I asked, what isle is the lice shampoo, she responded isle 15, right on the other side. So I went around, looking closely at all the items. She then is on the same isle as me, sees me still searching, and doesn't offer any help. At this point, I was giving up, clearly it wasn't there. As I'm about to leave, I figured I'd look in the shampoo section, and there it was locked in a cabinet, so I press the red button to have it unlocked. The SAME employee walked up with the keys, and said " do you need something?". I was so frustrated at this point. I said yes, the lice shampoo that you said was on isle 15. So I was having an extremely hard time and then I went into the Southdale Money store, and I dealt with the manager Ray, and not only was a bit of breath of fresh air. He was leader lead helped the customer out, even though the store was busy and they looked shorthanded. All I can say is always so SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW no matter which day you are going there. Pharmacy's system is suck that the worker ALWAYS take tons of typing in order to enter their customer's prescription at least average 5-8 minutes per person. Plus the CVS check out counter always understaffed with only one counter open even with a total 3 persons standing right behind the counter.. The Indian lady that works there always gives me a hard time whenever I go. I only come to cvs to pick up my prescriptions so I always go in my cozy clothes (sweats, hair up, hoodies etc) and I guess that bothers her or makes her think that I'm gunna steal or something because she always keeps an eye on me and makes stupid comments so me like if I need help finding anything knowing damn well I'm just gunna walk to the back for the pharmacy. She's familiar with me because I used to come often but after encounters with her I've decided to have my mom pick up my pills for me because the Indian lady made me feel like a thief and uncomfortable. The irony is that my pills are actually for my social anxiety and it's sad that I can't even get the meds I need or don't want to because this lady makes me feel like a convict the second I walk in. Now to talk about the pharmacy. I didn't mind so much coming here before because the pharmacists were nice but ever since they hired this one pharmacist I can't take this place seriously anymore. It's one thing to have an annoying Indian lady cashier but it's another when the pharmacist helping you literally had chola eyebrows that wouldn't have even been popular in the 90's. They're thick, tattooed and VERY VERY tacky. The lady literally looks like a meme I'm dead serious, like where do they get these people from!? What ever happened to professionalism and having pride in your appearance? This place needs to get it together for real. It would've at least been nice if she was at least helpful but she wasn't. I've used this pharmacy for a long time, today I was disappointed in the service. I called about a prescription that needed to be filled for my dad that was extremely ill. I spoke to the pharmacist and informed her that my doctor needed her to contact him to provide the prescription to be filled. Her response was she was to busy to call him and could not do it! If I could I'd give them negative stars! I will not use this pharmacy again they clearly don't care about the people they service! The girl with the tattoos is the only one that is helpful. I used to live in El Monte area and loved this CVS because it was 24 hours, pharmacy included! It was great for random late night sugar needs, munchie attacks, and refilling my rx at midnight with no wait. I went yesterday and noticed they were having a semi-annual beauty sale, which I didn't even know existed in the first place. But sale? Count me in! So not everything was on sale... but there was this sheer blush thing from Neutrogena that I wanted to try out. It was a BOGO half off so I also grabbed one of the sheer power....both $12.99 according to the price tag. Got to the register, she rang them up and one popped up as $13.69. Just to make sure my eyes didn't cloud over, I went back to check and sure enough my eyes were fine (as fine as contacts can make them of course). I told the cashier, who told a another girl to go check. Instead of going with me to see the tags herself, she decided she needed a manager to verify the price. Since when do stores need a manager to verify a price tag that is placed there for ALL to see? What happened to honoring prices as advertised? 70 cents. We rang the bell at the liquor aisle to get some alcohol, The guy brought the bottle all the way to the 1st aisle and said the cashier will help. I've been here at least 10 times and all of my experiences has been terrible. Yes, it took me that many times until I finally decided to rate CVS El Monte here on Yelp. You mistreat me once I can forget about it. Treat me disrespectful continuously and I'll come here and but you on blast. I think the rude attitude is very common at this location. All of my encounters has been with different people. About 90% of the employees in there are rude. You ask a question, the employee starts to get irritated. Special request? Be prepared to hear the huffing and puffing noise. Today was the last straw. There were 2 cashier working and I politely asked if someone can help open the glass door to the product I was interested in that was on clearance. Prior to this, I had visited a few CVS that had the same clearance but was OOS. I then asked her if she can scan the product to verify the final price because this location was higher than every store. It was also the fact that CVS always have hidden prices and you won't know it until you scan it. "The price is right here!" she said. Long story short, she was displeased and gave me an attitude despite the fact she was wrong after I had proven to her that the final price was lower than it was tagged. What made me angrier is that her night shift partner had the same attitude! Rude employees .... no business for you! I gotta slap myself for visiting this location knowing that this store is filled with unpleasant hospitality. It's no wonder this CVS have all the items in stock while other CVS are out of inventory (clearance and regular price items). I'll start off by saying CVS is always my go to place I shop here almost every other day. Used to be the Pasadena location but moved to El Monte over a year ago so this is the nearest location to me. Since day one MERCEDICE THE supervisor he always been rude but I always brushed it off because I'm just here to grab and go.. 6 days ago I perchases a CVS BRAND BENGAY and it was defected extremely runny I never save my receipts because I never return anything. I was busy working so didn't have time to come exchange it finally today I stopped by and JAZMIN told me I needed a receipt to exchange it I asked if she would grab a supervisor she went to the office came back and told me MERCEDICE said no that I needed the receipt. I went to my car and looked up CVS NO RECIPT POLICY and it clearly stated they offer 100% customer satisfaction exchange or returns within 60 days.. so I went back and asked if they could call her so I could speak with her to show her the CVS POLICY Also I always use my phone number when purchasing .. she refused to come out and told Jazmin to tell me to come back when the store manager is there.. like what ? Isn't the role of a supervisor to handle customer satisfaction while the manager is not there ? Shes a supervisor but doesn't even have the knowledge to do a simple exchange ? What is her purpose of being a supervisor then? She doesn't even know the companies policies.
