I would give negative stars if I could. This is the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to. When there are issues with your script they won't contact you, you are supposed to just figure it out. I have an authorization and a prescription for a medication and they refuse to fill it because "they aren't sure" like... are you effin' serious? It's outlined for you for crying out loud. A second prescription I have they keep faxing information over to the WRONG number. I literally had to call the dr. then go to the counter and have the drs office give them the fax number over the phone. She assured me she would fax it right then! A week later.... Never faxed. How incompetent and frankly negligent. It's a different worker and pharmacist every single freaking time but they all have one crap attitude in common! I get the "short staffed" explanation but after a week of hearing it... it's old. After four weeks of hearing the same lines and hearing the same mistake and same misunderstanding ... the company is just garbage. I've been thinking of changing for a long time just over their general crap attitudes when they come to the window but I keep putting it off since I'm around the corner. Nope. Not anymore. My Dr Ordered a prescription for me on Wednesday afternoon, I called about 4 pm to see if it was ready and someone told that they were working on it so I waited till 6;30 to go, I waited in line for about 10 min to be told that it wouldn't be ready till 10:AM next day! I've been going to Walgreens on Palm and Shaw for almost 10 years, but not much longer. Understaffed, and not very customer friendly. They don't care whether you shop there or not. I've been returning plastic bottles and cans there for at least 5 months but today was told by the store manager the policy is they can only take 50 bottles/cans per customer per day. I asked where does it say that, and was told it's always been the corporate policy just not really enforced. I asked for a copy of the policy and even with computers they could not come up with the written policy. After taking only 50 of my 200 plus bottles I asked, what if I came back tomorrow with 10 friends/relatives each with 50 bottles/cans would they be able to make the exchange? The answer was yes, so then I asked do you hear what you're saying? What difference should it make? He just basically said it policy sorry. Update 06/23/2019; had my doctor call in a prescription for diabetes test strips, because buying over the counter cost $100 but since I have insurance (double insurance) the pharmacist recommend I use my insurance to save money. Doctor called in the prescription and pharmacy called saying it was ready for pickup and the price was $70.00. I said I have double insurance coverage, and never paid more than $35.00 for any medication. After checking the assistant said said they never bill BOTH insurance companies, and only bill a secondary if the first refuses to pay. I explained that their procedure was wrong. Because some insurance companies pick up a portion then the other insurance company picks up a portion until I either get it fully covered or have to pay a small amount, never more than $35.00 for anything medical. Their argument that's are policy, take it or leave it. Needless to say I left it, ordered it on line for double the test strip (200) plus 100 ct of lances for $30.00. The had free delivery over night. I received them the next day and they work the same as the original test strips. I recommend quit buying your prescription from Walgreens pharmacy as a boycott of their billing practices. Now "THAT's THE WAY IT IS" for me. read more

I would give the store a zero but I have to give it a one in order to write a review. Don't go here for prescriptions period! I have used this location for 10 years but since the pandemic they are awful!! My doctor sent a script over two days ago and it took 2 days, 2 visits to the store and numerous phone calls for them to tell me that they don't take my Medicare prescription plan! So I had to call the doctors office to have them send a new script to CVS and viola it was ready to pick up in 1 1/2 hour! Also they totally lack customer service! It's like they just want you to GTF out of their face ! The male pharmacist was uninterested in the question I had for him and just complained that he couldn't hear me with a mask on! It seems like they just go pluck people off the street and throw a white coat on them and throw them in there are the fill prescriptions! Terrible service! My husband and I scheduled appointments online to get shingles vaccine. The appointment was pointless as we had to wait in line and request an appointment in person. The clerk did not process our requests together and my husband had to wait in line again despite the fact I told the clerk we both had appointments and were waiting. Horrible customer service and would not recommend this Walgreens. It would have been nice if the clerk was more professional and paid attention. read more

All over the country, they Suck. Wait for a script that they say will be ready in 2 hours. I call & they say it's ready & wait in a line of 5 or 6 people & they tell me it's not ready . Went to a 24 hour pharmacy at midnight to get a RX for my very sick husband. There was NO ONE else in the store and they said it would be 20 minutes!??? Really??? Quick disclaimer...I like Walgreen's for getting a quick toiletry item or food stuff or beverage or other sundry item. I can get in and out pretty quickly and everything is reasonably priced. This review is not about that section of this Walgreen. Evil likes that part of Walgreen's. I am here to spread the bad word about the pharmacy. Consider me the anti-WalgreenEvangelist. I stopped by here yesterday to get a quick somethin' somethin'. I happened to notice that they provide flu shots in the pharmacy. Evil cannot get sick...especially this year. Ok...I've used this pharmacy before. Trust me...when you go there, it is not a sprint, but a marathon. It takes this place about 73.8x longer to get a prescription filled than, say, ANYWHERE ELSE. I'm pretty sure I could go to the back alleys of downtown Fresno and get better service for my "drug needs". I forgot this fact before sauntering over to the pharmacy counter during my lunch hour to get that flu shot. I think the people working there were interested in doing everything BUT help customers. From the shot-giver-outer whining about not having enough time to get a drink of water, to the blue hairs cutting me in line...from the rude workers trying their best to avoid eye contact to my own lamentation over a lost lunch hour.... Not good times and a reminder of why I have so many evil thoughts. read more

Pharmacy is the worst. I am placed on terminal hold only to be disconnected after waiting 15-20 each time. They never answer the phone. I've spoken with multiple store managers who always claim it's really busy today. But this has been occurring for years, even before Covid. They say it will get better, changes are being made but it does not. The online app feature is constantly being changed & does not function properly. If it worked correctly there would be no need to call. Even when told via email predicate ready to pick up they are not, almost every time. I'm the idiot to continue to use them but with today's medical record sharing online with various doctors & hospitals it's almost impossible to change pharmacies. This Walgreen's has great employees: Very helpful & gracious. This is a busy Walgreen's location & sometimes lines collect at checkout: only solution: patience. Walgreens offers a great service: order items online, pay online & your order is ready in about 30 minutes to come pickup with safe, no contact curbside delivery to your car. I've used it 3 times now: and efficiently received all items on time. Wait time? Averaged 5 minutes. Try it! You'll like it. This is a great service for anyone to use during the Pandemic, if you are disabled or elderly. Even a busy parent with kids in the car could use this help. Thank you Walgreen's! read more

I absolutely LOVE this Walgreens! I've been coming here ever since they opened. I love how clean and organized it is. It's way bigger than the one that was on Bullard and Palm, and it has far more items available to choose from. The isles are a little more spacious, and it's easy to maneuver when there are a lot of people around. The staff is always willing to help and super friendly. You can definitely say that this is my one stop shop for all my hygienic needs!!! read more

Pharmacy staff rude condescending and very unhelpful on phone and in person. Said that a couple of my prescriptions did not come through and that I needed to have my docs office call it in . Meds not ready on pickup said hadn't heard from my doc. I called my doc office they called the pharmacy and they told her that they had the prescription and not sure why I had her call she doesn't see a problem with the prescription... Rude rude rude in the pharmacy. Call and get placed on hold by the computer generated operator only to be placed on hold two more times by the pharmacy staff (10 minutes is a long time to wait on a phone when you've been told you're "next in line" to be helped). Once I got to talk to somebody, she wouldn't let me finish a sentence cutting me off saying that she was only trying to help me faster. If being rude is helping me faster, then I'm transferring my rx to another pharmacy all together. At 6:30 they tell us the prescription will be ready in one hour. No problem. We come back at 8:15 and they tell us it's not ready becausesp they're swamped and they need another 10 minutes. After 15 minutes I check and they tell me they're swamped and they will get it to me in another 10 minutes. I begged them to tell me what they can really do because I'll go home and come back in the morning. Apparently that is too much to ask. Very frustrated. read more

I wouldn't be so upset if it was the first time. But on two separate occasions, I was told my medication is on backorder (or they're not sure what's going on) and I would need to wait for them to fill it. I wouldn't mind, but to tell me that after I waited 30 minutes in a line that is never-ending is soooooooooooooooo freaking frustrating. The line is ALWAYS. SO. LONG. So I wait. Then I get in line AGAIN to get my rx....only to find out all my pills are not all there because they don't have enough. ^&%y%$#@*&^&$#^%$. Don't get me wrong...I have a lot of patience. I don't like to get mad for no reason because I work with people and get it. Sometimes it's out of their control. BUT dammit. I have things to do, places to go, dinner to cook. Just get enough people there so the line is not so long. I would not be so mad if I wait in line 5 mins and you tell me I have to come back compared to 30 mins and you tell me I have to come back. Jeeze. It's not fair to the Walgreens employees, to the clients, to anyone. If I can give this place a zero star, I would. Taking my money elsewhere. Not coming back to any Walgreens in Fresno ever again. I'm tired of waiting in line. Plus, I need to 24hr pharmacy....cuz, you know, I do this thing call work 8 hrs a day. End rant.
