Loc: Gilbert AZ - Power & Queen Creek Following ER visit needed several prescriptions, one they said wouldn't be ready until next day. We didn't ask and they didn't offer the time - we were stressed. Next day called ten minutes after 8 and they said the truck always comes at 11 so it would be after that. I said no one told us it would be that late (yesterday I could have driven around and got it elsewhere). she blamed the call center and said we should always come to the store and get better information. We were at the store! not a call center. I said what can we do, we need it now (ER had loaded some meds but now was due and needed). she said let me see what we can do (the way she said it I took to mean they may have some in stock). she asked what phone number to use, i updated. she asked for the number again (yes gave new number twice) and updated to receive calls. would call or text as soon as it was ready. nicely said she'd look for coupons. no call, no text, starting to panic. called at 10:50 and was told a) they didn't have the right number and b) the meds had been ready since 9:00. I complained and they apologized and entered the number. again blaming the call center but again I talked to the store not the call center! when I got to the store the coupon was was entered, I asked why if the meds were there they didn't just fill it yesterday. young kid made it sound like the truck came early, and I said oh really the gal standing next to you said the truck couldn't get there until 11. I again asked why they didn't just fill it yesterday and he said "we have our processes". Walgreens, your processes aren't working. if you would have a) just filled it when the meds were in the store instead of saying tomorrow OR b) entered the correct phone number and called when it was ready so we didn't wait needlessly OR c) not made it sound like there was nothing that could be done OR d) pretended a magic truck showed up (we aren't stupid and your own people said truck always comes at same time each day). oh and stop blaming the call center for actions of your people! This review is for the "brilliant" decision to cut the hours at this store and to add a call center into the mix. I know this isn't new, I just decided to review after a recent experience. I loved this place when the pharmacy was open all night--the night shift pharmacist was great. I am sure he is still providing great service on 2nd shift, now that this place is no longer open 24/7. What I detest is getting put through to a "care center" instead of directly reaching the pharmacy. I am not interested in talking to a call center employee. I want to talk to the pharmacist, and I told her so. She got snippy and said "all you have to do is ask". I stayed silent and little miss twit put me through to the pharmacy after telling me to "have a nice day". One more hoop to jump through, one more middleman to work around. I stopped using Walgreens as my go-to pharmacy years ago, and now I remember why. read more

Pharmacy is horrible, over a year with 3 prescriptions and it's been actually ready when it said it was MAYBE 4 times. I don't understand what's going on and I always get attitude. I ask why it's not ready when it says because I work 12 hour shifts and plan to not wait another hour before I get home and wait until it's ready. I was "wrong" for going by the app because "the app isn't always right" ok so I'll call. I call and get the time or it's ready and show up and no one ever knows who I talked to and nothing was done. The pharmacist said my very important medication would be ready by 9pm last night. I come in today and no one has any idea what I was talking about! SURPRISE!! I went out of town and had to have a prescription partially filled. Literally told that CVS I was shocked at how helpful they were because my pharmacy down here can't put 2 and 2 together and they definitely don't ever try to be helpful So he rudely tells me he has no idea and I'll have to wait. At this point I'd lost it because I'd worked 12 hours and just found out my friend passed away. I went off about how difficult it's been and how upset I am. He tells me he called cvs to get prescription back and it takes time I wait 30 minutes and call cvs myself AND HE HADNT CALLED. He hears me and jumps on the phone and cvs tells me Walgreens is not calling and it might be them. Douche was going to let me wait. Stupidity and rudeness is a bad combo I've never worked for a place that would find it acceptable to operate or treat people this way. I was completely ignored and then told by the red haired kid working the register "well you didn't talk to me" after he asked who talked to!!! So it didn't matter that I had called and told my prescription that I need would be 24 hours earlier. Nice employees, Walgreens! Hostile employees working at pharmacy. Primary purpose being to pick up prescriptions DOCTOR called in for me and my son without and unexpected, AND COMPLETELY unnecessary issue's. Though, David was "assisting me" this evening at the queen creek location, so primary turned into "how difficult can I make this for her?". Picking up routine prescriptions, I was visibly judged, treated like an imposition. He lacked, or at least showed a lack of empathy or any interest in me as a prescriber and costumer of Walgreens and he's not the only one, several others have. No regard for me as a human either. My favorite part is when I'm made to feel as if I'm doing something wrong by picking up a prescription ORDERED BY MY DOCTOR; one title no pharmacist holds but love to act as if they do. Also they're not my insurance carriers but they'll sure act as if they know more about my insurance then I do, too. Ignorant. I will be transferring from Walgreens due to the way I was treated this evening and over the past year. Queen creek location needs completely new staff in pharmacy. read more

I will never come to this pharmacy. Little did I know they "legally" have to close for lunch at 1:30 and I walked up at 1:31 and was told they couldn't help me because of legal reasons and had to close down to eat. I raced down here when my prescription was ready text came through. The security guy blocking me as the only person in line was decent but the rest were rude and run this place like robots. I'm not one who pushes for service but I explained it was medicine I desperately needed and was on a time crunch. I will never go back and be sure to share my experience as I have been in customer service for 23 years and this Walgreens and pharmacist are a joke. read more

I have had good service at this Walgreens. When I hurt my back, a sales associate helped me find an ice pack. I've been here almost 4 months and my prescriptions are always ready on time. I recently used them for a blood test my doctor ordered. I got there right when they opened, so I was first and had no wait. Much nicer than LabCorp, but I could see there being a long wait since there is only a small room and one tech. I like having a 24 hour Walgreens around the corner, and so far this one has been a good one! read more

What can you say...have you ever had a Walgreens that isn't convenient? While I'm still not sure why Walgreens stocks Arizona tourist t-shirts and Cactus snow globes, it is still my go-to place for prescriptions, home medical and last minute things. It even saved my bacon on the holidays when I needed eggs. This location (as of this review) also has a RedBox unit inside making it perhaps the most convenient convenience store for medical, movies and last-minute items. Oh and passport photos! Staff has always been friendly to me as well. read more

Just went in to the Pharmacy at this Walgreens and I just wanted to say that I was beyond amazed. Long story short, I am a veteran and didn't want to go all the way to phx to pick up flu meds, and Natalie the Pharmacy tech and the Pharmacist there both went above and beyond in trying to get the prescription meds that were going to be over 150 bucks at zero cost! She tried every route possible and I am so appreciative of how hard she tried, even though I wasn't able to get my meds at no cost, she tried her best and that right there is what matters. We found some coupons online that pretty much took more than 50% off, and with that kind of service it's worth every dime. It's so nice to know that there are people out there who really care. You ladies made my night. Thank you again! read more

First off the only star I'm giving is because the cashier was nice . Walked in at 2pm to fill a prescription they said it's not ready yet and we are very backed up .I said fine when should I come back and he said a few hours . So here I came back at 5:30 ( a few hours later ) ..(also they close at 9pm...)and there is a lady standing in the line Kerri or something saying they are closed ....Excuse me? There is 5people in line and workers are still in there . The. She rudely says we are closed . I said you couldn't take one more person ???? She said I didn't that for the last 3 . Ok so I guess I don't matter then ... maybe you should tell you pharmacy employee not to tell people to come back in a few hours when they know the damn pharmacy is shutting down early or tell them hey be back by this time instead of sticking a rude employee to police the pharmacy line . I am new to pharmaceuticals, having the blessing of avoiding it for the first 61 years of my life. WHOA now i understand why it's in the news. My insurance co does not want to pay for anything my Doctor prescribes and twice now Walgreens staff has helped me more than the insurance's 800 number. Most recently Alyssa figured out what generic was less costly as well as locating a coupon that cut my price in half! The pharmacist has also been extremely helpful -a different prescription that my insurance would not cover is at Costco about 90% cheaper and he did not mind answering my question "is it exactly the same?", with a "yes". Now I don't know how Walgreens would feel about his honesty and subsequently loosing my $350, but because of these two employees... they have a customer for life! read more

Pharmacy tech Tori is the best! My kids got ahold of the receipt with the survey and now I can't find it. So, I decided to write a review here. Pretty much everyone at this pharmacy is awesome but Tori goes above and beyond. She has great energy and knows how to make a customer feel valued. My family moved from Seattle a few months ago & she remembered me by name pretty much after my first visit. We need more Tori's in the world! I have some comments and concerns regarding the Walgreens Healthcare Clinic/Take Care Clinic inside this Walgreens location. I read on the clinics discharge paperwork that, "...the clinic is an independently owned corporation whose licensed healthcare professionals are not employed by or agents of Walgreens." Having said that, I still believe that Walgreens is still somewhat, at least partly, responsible for who is operating and providing care inside their stores to their patients. On 7/8/19 I went to this Take Care Clinic inside this Walgreens store with my mom who was feeling sick and it had come on quickly. This was the only location was 13 miles away from our home but the only location with available times left for the day. Made an appointment online quickly and rushed over. We were 3 minutes late and signed in to see our appointment time had been cancelled. It allowed us to select a time that was 40 min later so we did that and waited. Before we could sit back down the Nurse Practitioner called us back. I liked to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, especially in the retail healthcare field because they are often overwork with long hours. Having said that, Sarah was very rude from start of the appointment through to the very end. We apologized profusely for being late, no words were spoken back. I was in the patient room with my mom the entire time and it was one of the worst experiences I've had. I felt very badly for my mom as she already felt sick and does not like going to the doctors office. Sarah was not kind and did not engage in any way. The entire visit felt like we were being scolded at the principals office for a crime and were awaiting punishment. She barely asked symptoms and did not speak unless it was required information for insurance. I was in disbelief that this Nurse Practitioner was providing care acting this way towards vulnerable patients who have come for help and in need of some type of treatment. :/ No customer or patient should be receiving this kind of service especially when they are sick. About 5 minutes before we left, a woman had checked in to be seen with three seemingly sick, young and crying children. My heart broke for her because I was guessing she was going to get the same type of bad attitude and care that we received, or worse with her sick children. Please do better Walgreens and Take Care Clinic. read more

I always breathe a sigh of relief when I see him at the counter because he knows what he is doing and has a very pleasant demeanor. All Walgreens pharmacies are full of self righteous social rejects. Almost as if its a requirement to degrade, under mind, and search out ways to accessing your medications very difficult. The current lead pharmacist has no will or want to help patients. I had a prescription called in that is very very hard to locate these days. Apparently Walgreens doesnt work with my health care so I asked to pay out of pocket. Keep in mind I paid out of pocket the month before because again I cant find this medication anywhere. He refused to let me pay out of pocket saying it was illegal. I did all but beg for help this last month and I will plan accordingly in the months to come. I explained that I cant find this medication anywhere and I really need some help with this one. For some reason this high and mighty lab coat felt it better to not assist me and allow me to pay. Keep in mind I have moved this medication 4 times now putting my doctor in a situation of more work. This is the health care world and these people should be ashamed the way they treat people. Walgreens has always been known as a pharmacy that is always looking for a reason to investigate and/or look for a reason to refuse service and treat patients like scum. This walgreens should be ashamed and so should the pharmacist. These people aren't helping the world they are destroying peoples routines and heavily effecting peoples lives so they can feel better about themselves! read more

If I could rate this place negative stars I would. They are listed online as open 24/7 and we drove there all the way from East Mesa because they said they were open 24 seven. My daughter broke out in hives and I had to leave my infant at home with someone just so I can come here and get her medications for it. I get there at 12 o'clock on the dot and the person at the door tells me that they are closed at 12 and there's nothing they can do for me. This review is for the take care clinic inside Walgreen's. After going for a nice run outside yesterday, all of a sudden I couldn't breathe and had wheezing. I figured I'd wait 5-10 mins and it would go away as it had done in the past. It didn't. At 4:04pm my DR was already closed. Off to the clinic to get diagnosed with Exercise Induced Asthma. I figured I would give this service a shot. I checked on their website and it said no wait. Upon arrival you have to sign in entering you basic info into a touch screen computer. I ended up waiting for 5 minutes but no one was in front of me except the person who was already in the room with the Nurse Practitioner. I go into the exam room and it is a decent size room. You are asked for your insurance card and ID. She (Deborah Dugan Nurse Practitioner) briefly did an exam and then got me on a breathing treatment machine. She was very nice and easy to talk to. I left in under 30 mins with an Inhaler called in for me and great breathing. It only cost the same copay for my PCP. All in all it is very convenient open until 7:30pm weekdays and 5pm on weekends. It was way faster than waiting for my DR to book me your typical 1 week out and waiting 15-20 mins when you get there. At take care clinic I was in and out in 30 minutes. Highly recommended if you need after normal business hours treatment or can't wait to get into your Dr and don't want to over pay for an Urgent Care facility. read more

I like the hours and pharmacy hours (much better than QC location), but the pharmacy is a nightmare due to not enough on staff and allowing every 6 hour medication/insurance issue/delay through the drive thru. If you're looking to kill a couple hours, use the drive thru. Inside is faster, but not much. Pharmacy employees are friendly and no issue with meds but you have to take half a day off work to get a prescription. The phone service is nice, but that only really works efficiently for refills; however, you still need to wait an eternity to pick it up. read more

Complete shit show with making a reservation for a Covid test! They can take the reservations they just don't know how to hold the reservation. Made a reservation to do a pre 72 hour test for trip to Hawaii. Received a confirmation email but Walgreens says it's not in "their" system even though we have a printed confirmation they could not do the test. Thanks for now fucking things up even more. They did not have my son's prescription in stock and didn't notify me by phone to let me know that it won't be in until 2 days later. They did send me an automated text saying there is a delay but they are working on it..... At 7pm I called them and they told me it won't be in stock until Monday. The pharmacy I was having it transferred was on hold for 30 minutes. I called them and ask them to please pick up the phone so they could stop holding my son's prescription. Next time I will take my prescriptions across the street to Albertson's. ***update**** Spoke with a manager who said the pharmacist Hakeem will be counseled and notified of my complaint that this business practice is unacceptable. The manager was very apologetic and I appreciated that he did not excuse or dismiss the problem. Added 2 stars to the review for the manager discussing the issue. read more

The rudest pharmacy staff ever. Drivr-thru lady didn't apply my insurance. I was in the drive through and I already gave my id and credit card before she told me the amount. Also she didn't apply my Walgreens card. Her reasoning was I didn't tell her about my insurance or Walgreens card. It was all my fault. I never had an issue before in the 10 years I've gone here. So I told her I needed to be refunded the over charge. She talked to someone else, the other person did something to the register ,and the drive-thru asks me to pay more. I told her no that I needed to be refunded money not charged more. She said they voided the transaction. I told her that's good but I need receipt saying it's voided. She just looked at me. About 30 seconds later she said she doesn't have anything for me and to trust her. So far, I didn't trust anything about her. She wouldn't even give me a copy of the original receipt. I should have taken a picture and not gave it back. I left and called Walgreens headquarters, listened to a long message, and said I wanted to be contacted. I never was contacted. But hey, without this experience, I wouldn't have found the awesome CVS down the street. read more

I'm new to the area and had to find a new pharmacy for my meds. This one was close to my house so this is where I went. They have an amazing staff in pharmacy, everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful. Pharmacist was very patient with me when I was asking questions and the girl helping me really seemed to care about my concerns. I will be taking all my family's prescriptions here from now on. This pharmacy is a joke. The staff is rude and they have zero communication with customers regarding prescriptions. I had a prescription sent electronically from my doctor office for 90 days. They only filled 30 days and failed to tell me my insurance only covers 30 days at a time. When I picked up my last 30 day supply I was only given 24 pills. I didn't realize this until arriving home. I called the pharmacy and they said to bring my prescription back and they will fix it. When I did an hour later they tell me that my insurance will only cover 84 days in 180 days. Where is the communication? When I asked how much it would cost to pay for 6 pills they were put off and irritated. I then wanted to return my prescription and they said "only a manager can do this". So now I will have to go back again. Extremely poor customer service. I will no longer shop at Walgreens for ANYTHING!!!! read more

I have strep and have called this Walgreens Pharmacy multiple times and every single time I've called in the last 5 hours they stated it was going to be filled in 1 hour. Called again and talked to a Pharmacist tech and she literally couldn't care less about the situation and told me "at least another hour". Told her I could barely swallow and she said "yeah, still going to be another hour". *I rarely post reviews and 99% are positive. I am not one to post bad reviews. But this service today was the worst I have ever received. Will definitely be changing pharmacies. I have used this Pharmacy for over 5 years and I have to say the main reason was because I work long hours and they are open all the time, day and night. The staff in the Pharmacy department has always been so so, but there is a new Pharmicist working there who needs to get off his high horse and realize he's there cause he couldnt get through med school and is not some Pharmacy God. The issue today, which I completely understand, was I called my refill in 2 days before I was supposed to. My issue is not the fact they wouldnt fill it, it was more how he handled it. Right from the gates I could feel that sense of entitlement oozing out through the phone.... "how dare you think you can get that two days early.... not on my watch... do you want me to call your doctor?" ya, no seriously he asked me that. As if I were a six year old kid getting in trouble at school.... "do you want me to call your mom little boy" I am a business owner and it sucks to see 1st hand how one bad seed working for you can literally cost you customers for there lack of what I call the basics. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Respect people. Talk to people not down to people. good luck Walgreens with that one! read more

Concerning the pharmacy...Long story short I just got off work, ran to my car to get to the pharmacy before they closed which was at 11. Called the pharmacy on my way and tried to pay over the phone. They told me no and that if I wasn't there by 11 then there was nothing they could do. I told JESSE that I would be there by 11. Pulled up to the window at 10:59 and It was already closed. When I went inside and was standing outside the closed down doors at 11:01, I knocked on the door and the lady told me they close at 11 and they have life's to go home to. I understand that you are just trying to do your job. And excuse me for speeding to get the pills I needed to sleep, but don't half fast me especially when I was on the phone with Jesse asking for help, and very kindly.
