I usually have a fine shopping experience at Walgreens, but today was unacceptable. I ordered prints of my daughter's birthday invitations and picked them up. This was the second time I ordered printed invitations. The first time I called the store and asked if they had envelopes. The guy working said that they had 5 × 7. I said my prints were 4x6 but he said that's fine we'll give them to you. This time when I went the manager Maria said they only give envelopes for 5x7 prints. I explained what happened last time and that I was willing to buy them. She claimed they had no way of selling them to me. They don't sell envelopes that size at Walgreens and I didn't have time to go to another store because I had an appointment to get to. I told my situation and said if I knew this policy I would have been prepared or I would have ordered from somewhere else. Maria refused to give me the envelopes even though it was her employee's mistake that gave me false information and left me screwed without envelopes. She acknowledged the mistake but refused to make it right. That is customer service 101. I kept telling her that wasn't fair and their mistake was causing me problems. She refused to see my point of view. Only when I told her that I was going to complain to Walgreens did her other employee finally say just give her the envelopes. They were trying to make me feel bad over 20 envelopes. I don't mind paying! I literally had no time to go to another store. Customers should not be made to feel bad about employee's mistakes. Managers should be trained how to de-escalate a situation. It did not have to turn into an argument. read more

Twice in one month the pharmacy has been closed ALL DAY for 2+ days in a row because they lie pharmacist is unavailable. Since they have no back up you have to drive to Hollister or Morgan Hill if you want your prescription. And since the pharmacy is closed you cannot get your rx transferred to another local pharmacy. Really really unprofessional for a large retail chain to have zero backup. Additionally rules about picking up meds are made up on the fly by the clerks. Some days you get a helpful clerk that lets you get your routine everyday meds on day 30 and other times you get a rude individual who says you can't pick up a rx twice in the same month even if it is 30 days apart. And then you have the clerk that says your tax doesn't exist after you receive a text from them that is is ready. Absolutely the most unprofessional, inconsistent, obnoxious staff of any pharmacy I have ever worked with. I cannot imagine how they stay in business. read more

Ok, I always shop at Walgreens over CVS and was looking for a drive through pharmacy after being in the ER the evening prior. So I knew CVS had a drive through so off I go it's after 8am and not open and no hours posted on there drive through window. I decided to go to Walgreens and yes their drive through was open and was able to drop off my scripts and return a hour later to pick. Walgreen has their hours posted with weekends hours different from weekly. All I have to say if you have a drive through pharmacy then use it and not lock it down like CVS. Very happy customer being able to drop off my scripts early morning 8:15am and having someone at the window and not locked up. Had to go back the following day and my script was ready in no time after my doctor called it in and the drive through is open till 9pm during the week. Thank you Walgreens for having a drive through with proper working hours. The only thing missing in Gilroy is a 24hr pharmacy for emergencies. Also I always find Walgreens have better sales items over CVS especially during the holiday season with better prices yearly too. read more

I'm not a huge fan of stores like this in general. I usually pick up stuff that I don't want anyone else knowing I need (think birth control, feminine products, etc) because these places are always empty. But I went with a girlfriend today, kinda just for the fun of it and they had a lot of fun stuff. I ended up buying these cool little ice molds to make large ice balls for cocktails, a table tennis set, and some birthday cards. It was very clean inside the store (expected, since no one is ever in there), well organized, and well lit. The cashiers were friendly enough for my one minute interaction. This actually seems like a fun little place to buy some last minute things for no reason. read more

Can I say that the pharmacy dept is horrible!!! They hang up on customers and offices.. waited on hold for 15 minutes only to have someone pick up the phone and hang up RUDE!!! Then call back and pharmacist says their busy what can I do for you!! What the hell... I will make sure in the we use CVS read more

I moved all my perscriptions here because CVS kept "losing" them. I have never been happier. The pharmacy staff is friendly & effecient. I had some trouble transfering perscriptions, but they got it all straighten out in a day. So long CVS, I'm only shopping at Walgreens from now on. read more

I have been pleasantly surprised by the amount of help and service given by ALL the pharmacy staff here. They go above and beyond to make sure they do all they can to help. I left nob hill pharmacy after 20 years due to lack of service. Walgreens pharmacy techs call Drs,insurance companies and do much work without ever even being asked! They even call when something is ready. I am delighted at the level of customer service and genuine care I receive here! read more

I love Walgreens! There are times when the wait is longer than other times, however, I love how friendly the people are how they really care! The staff there makes the difference from all the other pharmacys in town! Everyone gets busy here and there so why.be so harsh! They care and when they help people they take their time!!!!! I have been using their photo service for at least 3 years and it's usually good. Every so often I will send them a photo order online and when I go to pick it up, they tell me their equipment is not working and my order has been delayed?? Annoying. Their prices are HIGH (in comparison to Wal Mart at least) but this location is convenient to where I live, they have lots of parking & the lines to pay are usually short. The cashiers are nice. The manager here is nice too, he's assisted me with some photo orders in the past. I have found some nice deals in their miscellaneous bins as well, great as stocking stuffers and small gifts. read more

I Love this Walgreens. Everyone is friendly, the place is clean and organized. Decent prices and even better when the items are on sale. They have wine that goes on sale for $4.99 sometimes, you can't beat that! I check the weekly online ad and make a trip to stock up on the sale items of that week . It's always an easy in and easy out. No huge lines and they have a good amount of inventory. read more

I always have photos done for xmass and the photo center here is fab~o~awesome..my pics are always on time and amazing. Also thanks for delivering what you advertise unlike Walmart photo center they are awful and never deliver what they advertise espically during holidays, Walgreens never lets me down thanks for the great service. My wife and I stopped in this Walgreens to pick up a couple of over-the-counter items for my mother-in-law last Saturday. All was as expected until we went to check out. The young woman cashier was slowly ringing up our order, when she started babbling about science being nothing but trial and error that people got all mystical about. Aside from evidently not having been introduced to scientific principles, she obviously hadn't been introduced to basic theology either. As a minister I have a working knowledge of the latter and as anyone with a high school education, I have a working knowledge of the former. What I don't understand, don't want to understand, and am offended by is some barely conscious cashier taking it upon herself to natter at me as though she had the vaguest notion of what she spoke. I took great offense at her remarks and further offense that she felt she was privileged somehow to confront me with her, what is the polite word, stupidity. I can understand Walgreens hiring the barely educable, but I should think that the hiring manager would keep the people unable to behave in a civilized manner when dealing with the public from blathering insults at the customers. read more

I liked Walgreens when they first arrived in Gilroy. They had some brands that CVS didn't carry. Now when I go there they are out of all the brands I shopped there for. The other night I found that not one item I went there for was in stock or they discontinued. I found I was the only one in there looking around and still couldn't get someone to help me. I wonder how they stay open, maybe its the pharmacy. read more

Maybe I have been going to the wrong Walgreens in San Jose, but I am extremely impressed with this pharmacy. I usually go to a Walgreens in San Jose, close to where I live, and I'm used to waiting hours to days for my prescription to be filled. However, I was visiting my mom in Gilroy and decided to drop my prescription of here. To my amazement, the lady who helped me was extremely nice and told me the wait would be about 15 minutes. I walked around the store and did some shopping and actually wasn't even finished until JUST 10 MINUTES, my prescription was ready! If I'm even in Gilroy again, I will definitely go here again. If I can only find one like this in San Jose... read more

This store is just fantastic! The staff always seems so engaged and eager to help! They just renovated their makeup department and its amazing! Everytime I go the staff is busy but they always drop everything and make sure I get what I came in for. Thank you for keeping this location so wonderful! Whenever I visit my sister, I stop by this Walgreens. Nice parking lot. Store is organized and very clean. I can even find the Baby & Beauty Book at this location. Since this is not carried at my Walgreens location in Los Banos. They have everything in stock which is great, especially their sale items. The employees are friendly and willing to assist you no matter what dept. they work in, which is great! read more
