I don't know what possesses a pharmacy to be closed on Labor Day, but it surely isn't because they want to serve the community. I went to Walgreens today for the pharmacy, but for some reason it is closed. I am not here for the ambience or customer service. I just want to get rid of an ear infection and Walgreens has FAILED at their one purpose - being a drug store. Update: I went to another pharmacy to get my RX filled since Walgreens can't be bothered, and was informed that I had to pay out of pocket because Walgreens has already billed my insurance. 1 star is 1 too many. The pharmacy staff at this location is consistently rude and unprofessional, they make it very clear that they hate their job. I'm sure they are understaffed but I have been going to this Walgreens for years because of a specific medication brand that they carry and the only thing consistent is their lack of care for their customers. I have been waiting on my medication for 3 weeks, as it's been out of stock. My provider wrote a new prescription with a dosage change since that was in stock. 4 days later, still not filled, so I call and they apparently need prior authorization from insurance and told me I needed to contact my provider. NO ONE ever called me to let me know that I needed to contact my PCP. Is that not part of their job to contact the costumer to let them know there is an issue with filling the prescription? I have to call every single day? This is a medication that is taken every day and should not be stopped abruptly. It's concerning, their lack of care for their customers and their needs. Even if something is out of your control, you can still be kind and understanding. I would not write this review if this was an isolated incident, there are frequent issues over years now and it needs to be addressed. New to the areas or looking for a new pharmacy? 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND this Walgreens location. read more

I got really sick and went to the doctors. My doctor told me they were out of stock of the cough medicine I needed, but they'll send it over to Walgreens, and that it is fully covered. Even gave me a receipt to prove to the people there thats it's covered... the lady told me that it wasn't covered and I had to pay almost $30 which I do not have. Otherwise I wouldn't be trying to use insurance. The same thing happened to my mom and other people around me. The absolute worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. There are always multiple people working and yet somehow it always takes an hour to pick up prescriptions they claim are ready. Beyond that, they somehow always mess up the prescriptions and insurance information. My husband has had a prescription for over a year that the generic brand is not covered and the main brand is -- but somehow this pharmacy always defaults to generic and tries to charge us an arm and a leg. Despite us asking them to note the account 10 times, it happens nearly every time we try to fill it. We keep trying to be understanding due to short staffing everywhere, etc. but honestly they don't seem short staffed. The staff just never looks like they have any idea what's going on. I have been calling the pharmacy for almost a month now trying to talk to someone. They refuse to answer the phone. I am handicapped and can't drive up there so I have been without my medications since then. I called corporate and every single number I can get ahold of and nobody is trying to help me. I am moving all my medications to rite aid. I wish I could deal with a different store but when I do go up I have to pay an Uber and it's a shame I should have to pay more just because they can't pick up a phone. Also I am just done with Walgreens as a company. Do NOT use this pharmacy. They also randomly close with your medications filled there. Never ever dealing with them again. I came here to get two prescriptions filled immediate after leaving my doctor's office (around 3pm). I waited in line and when I got to the the front I provided my insurance card and ID. The tech said I didn't have any prescriptions for me in their system. I tried to give her the phone number to my doctor's office, but she said "I think they are the office I have on hold right now. Your prescriptions should be ready in about two hours. You will get a text message" I wanted to confirm that they had received my prescription before I left, but the woman turned and was gone before I could even ask. I received a text the next morning (around 10:30) saying my prescriptions were ready, so I went to pick them up. One of them was ready, but the other couldn't be filled for 3 days when it would be delivered. Overall my experience here was very so-so. I will come here if it's necessary, but definitely not my favorite Walgreens. read more

If I could give them a 0 star I would. This is for the Pharmacy not the store. The people that work there are the slowest people I've ever dealt with when it comes to filling prescriptions. They come up with new rules for picking up prescriptions like every other month. And even when your doctor approves a prescription to be picked up that day the pharmacist can and will tell you no, you can't have it until tomorrow. It's a horrible operation they have. I couldn't find a decent grocery store on Yelp (they should really figure out a way to get businesses automatically added). So I ended up at Walgreens for milk, cereal and maxipads. It was an emergency trip for a friend :-) This Walgreens keeps well stocked shelves and offers generic store brands with decent prices. I can appreciate that! read more

Do not waste your time having any prescriptions filled at this Walgreens. They are the rudest Pharmacy staff I ever dealt with. They lie, saying the medication is on back order and none of the Walgreens have any, but when you call another Walgreens, they can fill the medication asap. most of the time. They charge your insurance company, take the $$ and then delay filling your prescription or flat out deny filling it so they can pocket your insurance money. Try calling them to find out the status of your pending prescription, they won't take your call, they just hang up on you. The other day, I was on the phone over 1 hour trying to reach them, but after they hung up on me 3 times, I had to contact the store manager. My doctor's office tried to speak to them on my behalf and they were rude to him and his staff. My doctor was extremely appalled at their behavior. I filed a escalated complaint and a Distrct Manager was suppose to return my call in 48 hours. No chance of that happening; I am still waiting for a call back after 5 days. Walgreens at 7901 Ritchie Hwy. I scheduled my booster COVID-19 and flu shots online. Arriving early, I walk to the Pharmacy department. The COVID-19 station was CLOSED with SHUTTERS DOWN and ZERO DIRECTIONS on where flu shot recipients are supposed to go. As I stand there confused where I'm supposed to check-in, I see a small card reader with folks sitting or standing by so I used it figuring this is what I needed to sign into to get my shots. I provide my driver's license and health insurance. Then, I sit down for roughly 10 minutes. Zero activity or sound from the vaccination station. Therefore, I stand in the long customer service line for "Pick up/Drop Off" with one cashier. Again, there was ZERO indication that this was the line I needed to be in to get my shots. NO COVID-19/FLU SHOT DIRECTIONS ANYWHERE. After waiting 20 minutes in line, I still noticed ZERO activity in the vaccination room. As I am third in line, I get a call from the nurse at the first station I used my driver's license and health insurance, so I got out of the "Pick Up/Drop Off" line. I had to knock on the nurse's door since she shut it immediately after calling my name. I told her that I am so confused with where I'm supposed to get my COVID and flu shots and she stated that she was not the vaccination nurse and that I needed to wait in the long "Pick Up/Drop Off" line. Extremely annoyed for wasting my time with ZERO DIRECTIONS FOR CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE OR IN MY EMAIL APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION, I stated that I am leaving the store; forget the appointment. So the Walgreens across from Marley Station Mall has the rudest ill run pharmacy in the area. Kelly the pharmacy manager on duty today Sept 26 decided to take out her job frustrations on my 66 year old chemo recipient husband. We were there for Covid vaccines and although the pharm tech already asked the questions: "Are you sick?" "Have you been exposed..." I had also answered those questions online when I scheduled the shots. Apparently her system showed I answered, "I don't know" to all the questions. She went on in faux calm sarcasm instead of using the answers her tech just received. They were asked & answered minutes before would & supersede the ones from when the appt was set. My husband got upset over her rude sarcastic tone told her as much. Because she used the term "sir" after every sarcasm she thought she was professional. Come on Walgreens is that the best you can do? No wonder you're about to declare bankruptcy. Steer clear folks. Visit another location or different pharmacy read more

I understand that every retail establishment is short on employees at the moment, but being unprofessional is uncalled for. I believe my RX was shorted. I counted both bottles 2x's and came to the same conclusion. Called the pharmacy twice . 1st time put on hold for 10 min than disconnected. 2nd time was on hold for 30 minutes !! No one ever came back to the phone. Finally reached the Pharmacist the next morning. Explained my situation. She stated that it was impossible to be shorted pills . Basically called me a liar. Went to the pharmacy today. Pharmacist said the same, impossible. So, instead of counting my pills in front of me, so we could all be aware , she counted them out of my view. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not come to this pharmacy if you want to get your prescriptions in a timely fashion. You have to physically come to the store if you have a question or want to inquire about your medication because THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE! I saw the young woman in the head covering hang up on callers while I was waiting at the counter. The pharmacist does not care that they are not filling prescriptions in a timely fashion. I came around 2 and was told my prescription would be ready in 15 minutes. Then after 5 minutes of waiting, was told it would take 2 hours because "their system was down" yet I watched them process orders at the drive-thru. They need to stop playing with people's medications. Some people need them to live. Who the hell are they hiring nowadays?! They deserve to get closed down. Corporate must not read reviews or do audits. I will escalate this higher up the ladder. The customer service is so poor, it's disgusting. Go elsewhere! The store itself is okay. The pharmacy is slow as anything. Unfortunately it's just really close to home for us, so we continue to use it for now. I been going here for almost 2yrs now they used to have a huge problem a the checkout line where sometimes if not most of the time there would be 12 people deep waiting in line. And when another employee "maybe" would come to the help at the 2nd register that employee would actually make you feel uncomfortable because the employee would have an attitude that they had to help in the first place. But I'm happy to say that has changed dramatically in the past few months. I gIve the store 3 stars because they still have some other issues to address BUT I give Marion who works there 5 Stars (a long time employee) because she's always working hard and hustling and as long as employees like Marion work there I'll be sure to keep coming back. read more

This Walgreens' photo department is horrible. I was so excited to print some nice pictures for my son's daycare and some for my refrigerator. I uploaded so many on their website and when I picked them up I realized they used the instant photo paper! It is a bad quality, bad imaging paper! Why would you use this paper?? If I wanted it I would have done it myself at the store. Or better... I would have used my own photo paper which is a way better! Waste of money! I hate to leave negative feedback, but this is the WORST pharmacy I have ever been to. Do not take your prescriptions here. I waiting in a 15 minute line just to drop off the prescription. Then they said come back in an hour to pick it up. After one hour, I called to make sure it was ready, and they said they would call or text me when it was ready because it wasn't ready yet. Another hour and a half goes by and no call. I called again and was consistently put on hold for one hour and ten minutes before someone actually helped me. ONE HOUR AND TEN MINUTES! No one should ever wait that long on the phone unless you're winning something at the end. When the woman finally helped me, she told me to come right in to pick it up. When I got back to Walgreens to pick it up... I was told I needed to wait another 10 minutes. So, unless you want to wait over four hours for one measly prescription, do not go here. Hope this review saves you some time and pain. (P.s. The prescription I was filling was for ten pills.) I never cared which drugstore I used. You run in, get what you came for and leave, right? When I moved to this area, Walgreens is very close, so I went for whatever a few times and just fell in LOVE with it! They have almost anything you can think of for day to day use and the pharmacy staff is simply amazing. Very, very friendly staff and they REALLY CARE that you leave happy with your visit. I am constantly disappointed with the service! My doctors office called a medication and NO ONE CHECKED the message!!!! Seriously. So I arrive to wait in a long line until they can fill my prescription. Then my doctor called a prescription to the wrong pharmacy. I called the pharmacy to let them know the mistake and on the phone they guaranteed me that I could get on the closest Walgreens to my house since they are connected. I arrived at the pharmacy and let them know the error and that I would like to get the prescription filled. The lady told me to drive to the pharmacy 6 miles away to get my medicine!
