I come occasionally when they have a sale and I'm in the mood for their chicken. I came in, placed the order, paid at the counter, and waited to pick it up. My order was ready in a decent time. The chicken was just ok for me and the wedges too. I believe that you have to go to the right RF at the right time, when the right cook is there to have the best fried chicken experience l. The problem with that is you never know when those things will line up! It's the luck of the draw. I like how every areas has a gas station that offers some type of quick meal on the inside. I came here to see about getting a few things and possibly checking out some of there ready to eat foods. As you can see from previous reviews they offer a variety of chicken. I went with the three piece chicken tender meal, which comes with fries. I also got myself an order of mac n cheese. After I placed my order I went to grab a drink and pay. Picked up my food and made my way to my vehicle and headed back to my hotel. I knew I should have checked my food before I left because the sauce I asked for was not included. I was not making a trip back out just for a dipping sauce, so I begrudgingly went ahead and ate my meal. The chicken stripes were of the bigger size, taking up a lot of room inside the box. They weren't bad, but would have been better with the sauce. The fries weren't anything to write home about but manageable to eat. In fact they were the only thing that I finished from the box. The biscuit was dry and crumbly. The mac n cheese, basically your run of the mill stuff. For a quick meal while out and about to take back with you, not bad. Very clean, very well lit and very easy in and out off the main drag. Easy good order process - order at kiosk, take your ticket and pay at self pay registers. By time I paid, my food was ready. Store itself was very clean, employees were friendly. Onto the food - the fried chicken is so good! Wow. And, their unsweetened tea is very good. It's hard to find a good strong unsweetened tea (I'm looking at you, Sheetz), but the tea at Royal Farms is quite good. My only complaint is why no fro yo? I came to the Linthicum location 6/30/2024 and the place was a MESS!! Sink was fully stopped up in the ladies rest room, counters by the drinks were nasty and unclean. No Large cups or straws or lids filled on an extremely HOT day. Looked around and saw 3 people total. Poor guy at the register was trying run the register, stock and help customers while the two people behind the chicken counter were standing around doing nothing. This is not the fault of the staff as this place was WAY UNDERSTAFFED. This is an OWNERSHIP/SENIOR level mgmt issue and needs immediate attention. That store should have no less than 4 staff members. They moved next door and have restrictions on who's allowed to rent there. So. Because Royal Farms sells coffee nobody can make coffee in this building. This property wants $7,000 a month rent. The new location is always dirty and they always have very few people working there it doesn't seem like a good place to work. Stopped by on my way to BWI. I was asked to get some sort of sandwich and beverage, because airport food isn't great at 10:30 pm. Well, it's debatable whether it's good at all, but that's a different story. This location is right off of Nursery Rd. 5 mins from the airport. I was so busy eyeballing the Krispy Kreme donuts so hard, one of the employees asked if I needed help. Then a different employee helped me create a sub on the kiosk. She even made a special order that I needed. Although it's after 10 pm, the traffic was quite brisk. So, I guess other folks were eyeballing the donuts too. Everyone was quite friendly. Judge all you want but I love diet Coke fountain sodas and I've recently acquired a taste for Royal Farms "world famous" fried chicken. Given that, I was excited that a new store was opening up near my office. If you are wondering what Royal Farms is all about, here are a few notes: - 16 pumps with three grades of gasoline and diesel - 24 hour, beautiful convenience store - A large counter serving fried chicken. Be sure to place your order at the self-serve kiosk. -Typical convenience store stuff: ATM, lottery, drinks, etc. - Huge selection of coffee, creamer and sweetners - Coca-Cola fountain drinks and brewed iced tea - F'real milkshake machine - Seating both indoors (counter and a few tables) and outdoors (tables, chairs and umbrellas) for enjoying the world famous fried chicken. - Friendly employees - Huge inflatable chicken (but for a limited time only) As this is a new establishment some growing pains are to be expected. Sadly, today the three, fresh chicken fingers I ordered were served to me as five, chewy, dried out, rubbery chicken fingers. This is a pretty big Royal Farms in the linthicum area. They even have gas. This location is more like Wawa than a regular royal farms. The location is pretty clean and has a bunch of options. They even started doing a self checkout here. You should know that some of them don't print out receipts. Now on to the food. I ordered a buffalo chicken slider, a Chesapeake slider and some wedges. The potato wedges were great. Crispy and fresh. The sliders were a little disappointing. The chicken didn't taste fresh and was very tough. Still a pretty decent royal farms location. This is by far one of the worst places I have been to in a while. At 12:30am there was 3 people working - one making chicken and 2 people making orders. There was not an employee working the register and the self check out only took cards. So the woman making sandwiches went to check out several people who only wanted to pay cash. Of course I ordered a sandwich. It took almost 30 minutes to make my sandwich. The other woman acted like she had no idea how to even make a sandwich. I am a vegetarian so my options are already limited there. They have no lettuce. So I have cheese, pickles and tomatoes.. like come on! At this point I'd rather go to McDonald's and have them make a a grilled cheese. Don't go here late at night. Wawa is way more organized after 12am. read more

This gas station is very nice. There is plenty of rooms at the pumps and plenty of parking at the store. The inside of the store is large but a little crowded with the way they have it set up. The cashier area boasts lanes for self check out. If you want to have a live person check you out, there is a separate line for you to stand in. I was in the only person in that line and stood there for 10 minutes before I could get and employee to yell to another employee to come check me out. Had I not needed a bag of ice, I would have gladly done the self check out instead. It was a little crazy that they could not keep an eye on the cash register area because it was mainly "self checkout". They did have a food service area which had a steady stream of customers at 9am on a Sunday. So I guess the food must be decent. We also purchased Market Place honey bbq chips which were very good. Now I've been a snack distributor for 28 years so I occasionally try other brands. Worst Royal Farms experience ever. Some how it's was my fault for ordering chicken tenders at 9pm on a Saturday night- Patiently waited for order. 5 mins later I was told they didn't have more. I was told I could have wings instead. I told them I didn't want wings. The woman rolled her eyes and walked off. Moments later I watched her drop a tray of what I believed was wings into the fryer. 15 minutes later a asked her if there was a timeframe on my tenders. She walked away... moments later her coworker came around the corner and asked if she could help me- I said- where are my tenders?! She responded- we don't have any cooked & I should have looked to see if they had any tenders before ordering any. She claimed to be busy and if I wanted to come in back and help I was more than welcome to. At that point I demanded a refund. The original employee credited my card and when I thanked her for wasting my time she became belligerent.
