I interacted with several employees at the store in the past 24 hours and the person who I spoke with the morning was really rude. I was in yesterday and asking about Needohs and told that they were getting a shipment in and to check back in a few hours. I checked back in a few hours and they said to check back later that evening, or the morning due to the time to take to unpack. Both of the staff were kind, patient, and helpful. Whoever answered the phone at 8 am was not. I initially asked if they had Needohs and they said no, and to gain clarification I asked if they were sold out or if they didn't get any in and this seemed to frustrate them because they snapped at me and said in an extremely rude tone that if they were sold out they would have said so. I know that this recent trend and all the questions must be irritating for staff. It doesn't make it okay to take it out on customers. read more

Pharmacy drive-through has been out of service for weeks as of 09/23/2023. A store exit blocked with a shopping cart blocking the door - sign, on the outside of the door reads "please use other door," while sign on the inside of the door reads "in emergency push to open" (tough to do that with a shopping cart blocking the door). I've only stopped here two or three times and most recently it was because they have a FedEx drop spot. Getting into the small shopping complex from 5th can be a challenge so I suggest turning on Grandview and go that way. They have a drive through for the pharmacy as well. The staff was nice and took my package right away. It was a typical Walgreens as in, it's exactly what you'd expect. If I need to ship another FedEx package, I'll drop it off here for sure. read more

Just a word of caution to anyone looking to get a larger photo printed using the online photo center, for pickup in store... I typically buy photos that are the exact same size as the frame they will placed into, regardless if the frame has a mat opening or not. If the frame is 11x14, and has an 8x10 opening, I still print the image onto an 11x14 paper. If you don't, you end up having a photo that will never truly lay flat, and in place, and will need to be taped to the mat. I don't do that because it looks bad. And tape is not good for the photograph. Instead, I use an editor (like photoshop) to place the 8x10 image, into the middle of a larger 11x14 digital canvas .You end up with a large white unused border, but the final print will sit perfectly into the frame and look professional. I order the print. I pick it up the next day. Quality is decent. Slightly muted colors, but not too bad. It's usable. I go to put the 11x14 print, into my 11x14 frame that is already here. It does not fit. It's 12.5 x 13.75. The image is not dead center either. If I had a professional trimmer I could manage to make it work, despite the slightly short height. I call them up and they say they will reprint it. I go back the following evening. I get the fixed print. I take it out before leaving the store, and it's not 11x14. It's like 13.5 x 14.5. Again, it's not centered either, so you can't simply cut x" of each side, and x" of the top and bottom. I talk it over with them and it turns out that corporate doesn't provide them with a medium format inkjet printer, that can simply print onto 11x14 paper. They have to print on a roll of paper and trim by hand. I mean.... it is NOT the fault of the staff that they are presented with this issue. I am not sure if I'm the once a year weirdo that prints their photos in this manner, because they were unable to trim it to 11x14. Twice. An employee trims it, and trims it, and trims it, and trims it, and trims it.... five minutes go by, and it's handed back with a "it's sized to 11x14" and I trust they are right. I don't want to measure it and have it be off, because I'm just tired and need to leave. I got home, and measure it. It's now roughly 10.5 x 12.5... Three times now... I give up. I don't have time for this. I drop it into the frame, and eyeball the mat opening. It looks decent, and fortunately the frame has very strong clips that push the backboard into the print, and hence into the mat, which should keep the photo in place. I've learned that if I do this type of white border print again, to create a thin border in photoshop, on the very outside edge of the digital canvas, that will function as a cutting guide. If I sound mad, I'm not. Having to cut this stuff down to size is a pain for the employees, and it's not their fault corporate can't afford a $400 medium format inkjet. Come for the drugs, stay for the candy! This is a very nice Walgreens. It's easy to get in and out, and inside it's very bright and clean. The aisles are wide and fairly spacious. They have a nice photo section which I have used several times for passport photos which was a very simple and quick process. The staff have generally been pretty friendly and efficient, and I have never had to wait in line to check out. They do have the Walgreens rewards program which is fairly straightforward with bonus point offers on rotating products. They have a variety of products similar to what you might find in an expanded convenience store. I love their candy selection! And, if you come after a holiday, it will all be 50% off! Get ready for a sugar rush! Everything in moderation, though... Prices are higher than grocery stores, but their sales are decent and worth a special trip if it's something you need. read more

Don't waste your time trying to print your memories. I requested for 4 magnets and 1 photo collage to be made and had to come back 3 times over the course of 10 hours because it wasn't ready. When it was finally ready the photo magnets had a huge line down them and were ruined and the 8 x 10 collage looked as if I didn't have my glasses on. Completely blurry. The "manager" was incredibly rude and just cancelled the order. It's not like I needed it for Christmas or anything. Didn't offer to reprint or anything. I asked her if she really looked at that collage and still decided to sell and it and she said "that's just how it is". They also lost the order of the woman in front of me and told her countless times that she didn't order it only for them to find it last minutes. So, don't waste your time. read more

This Walgreens is currently offering curbside pickup. It was easy to place an order online, and they then communicated via text - no extra app needed! The texts let us know when the order was ready and included a link to click when we arrived. The staff person who ran out with the order was friendly and quick, and everything was in order. This is a very clean, organized, and friendly Walgreens. The staff consistently greeted every customer that entered in a friendly manner. I was asked politely as I ambled through the aisles if I needed any help finding items. They have a very broad selection of types of items but not always a deep selection, but that's expected as this isn't a grocery store but somewhere you might go to grab something to tide you over when other stores are closed. The photo section employee was polite and friendly. Prices generally run equal to or higher than grocery stores or Target due to the convenience factor, but you can get some good deals when things are on sale. They always have a large selection of candy especially for candy-related holidays (Easter, Valentine's Day, etc). If you come the day after the holiday the holiday candy will all be on sale. They have a small selection of wine too! Overall this is a clean, friendly, and orderly Walgreens. read more

The pharmacy here is the absolute worst. Every time I go to get my prescription, it's closed down early and the sign in the window says "no pharmacist on duty". So you just close down??? Why not hire someone who can cover the whole shift. Some people work odd hours too and can't get there in time before you choose to close. Love this Walgreens - staff is awesome and they have a great selection of products. This is my go-to for printing out pictures - no major issues with any order, and if there is a minor thing, they take care of it no problem. They always have a great selection of candy for Halloween and Valentines day -- cheapest around that I have found **bonus** can use coupons with the sales as well. Their head pharmacist is amazing, and is very knowledgeable on more than just Rx medicine. read more

I have had some bad experiences at local pharmacies in my neighborhood. I have 2 Type I diabetics in my family, so I have a lot of specifics with my prescriptions that are quite vital to my family's health, and are extremely time sensitive. Usually I have several months of uphill battles with a given establishment, before I get everything ironed out properly. The competence shown at this pharmacy is ABSOLUTLEY REFRESHING! I have truly been taken back by the professionalism and competence of this Walgreens. Another Yelper references a "rude Indian pharmacist." This has not been my experience at all. He has been one of the most proficient pharmacists I've ever personally dealt with. Cheers, Walgreens on 5th....you have made my life easier, and have done it on your first attempt! This is a great store. Yesterday I was in this store looking for a different neti pot, as mine had a rubber tip on the end which was allowing water to leak out, rather than go where it is supposed to. The store manager asked if he could help with anything, and I explained that to him. I didn't expect to return my old one, as I'd had it for a few months, and had used many of the included solution packets. He told me to bring the old one in for store credit, and he didn't care whether or not I had a receipt or box, or how many packets I had used. He didn't want me stuck with a product I did not want. I also went there once to buy laundry detergent that was in their ad. They didn't have the large size that was advertised, so they gave me a price on several smaller ones that was actually a better deal than the original. Their pharmacists have always been very helpful and friendly, and the rest of the staff has been as well. I really couldn't ask for more in a pharmacy. read more

She greeted me, yes and only nice for a hot second! well during the transitions she kept looking back and forth at her other associate... Well it doesn't stop there... Then I forgot about getting another item with my last transaction and she had the nerve to say "Are you going to leave now"?!?!?!&&&?!%^*# Wtf... Really, OMG... Little girl it's not like I'm stealing this stuff!!! sorry but I've been in customer service my whole life and never once have I ever made anyone feel like crap for shopping and getting everyday household items!
