I just went during a busy Memorial Day weekend Saturday night, I was picking up 3 prescriptions for my step daughter (we have different last names). The head pharmacist came out and sprung to action, after she fixed the insurance mix up. she rushed all 3 prescriptions, which I wasn't expecting at all. Everyone was nice and bent over back wards. I sincerely wish that I could rate this as a 0 stars. This Walgreens will inform you that your prescription will be ready in 30 - 40 minutes only to have you waiting with little to no feedback for hours. Do you have an urgent medical incident happening that could be fixed quickly by picking up medication? Don't come here. Do you need to get on the phone with them? Well too bad. You will sit on hold with one person in front of you for hours. I started wondering if they just call their own line to make sure others can't get to them. I waited on the line for over 30 minutes, and did not speak to a single person at all. This is literally THE WORST customer service experience that I or my family have had from any business in my life. People in person are fussing at them. The reviews online also support similar stories. I wish I would have known. If it wasn't for the hours, I would never have come here, and I never will return. We waited 3 hours for medications and did not even get it. I hope for the sake of patients and customers that someone at a corporate level decides that this is unacceptable and does something to turn this place around. read more

I have never had a memorable enough experience at any pharmacy to care to write a review, until now. I have been to this pharmacy 3 times on different days at different hours, and the wait has been at least 30 minutes for both the drive through and in-person each time. Never mind on the phone--it'll be 3 hours before someone picks up. I can only imagine that they are severely understaffed, but it makes for a terrible experience. read more

Only one complaint here but it's a big issue. The pharmacy is understaffed and takes forever to fill prescriptions. Pharmacy tells you to come in one hour to get prescription. You come in 4 hours and they tell you they haven't started. There is always an excuse. So you have to wait and circle multiple times. This is the most disorganized Walgreens in the system. I guess since they are 25 hr they don't care is there see I s sucks. read more

It is Sunday night so I needed this Rx filled. I clearly have a coupon for $2.50 for 3 pills. The first pharmacy staff told me to wait because he did not know how to use GoodRx. So I was told to move to the side. I waited. For the next pharmacy tech to tell me that he would not honor the coupon and it would be $15 or $5/pill for 3 pills. I asked why the coupon was not honored and he said "just because".... Knowing I have no recourse on a Sunday night. What a crappy thing to do. If you are planning to use GoodRx, go to the Kroger or HEB on the same block. I always go to Kroger, but could not wait on this Rx. Horrible horrible service. read more

If I could give zero stars I would .....Absolute garbage , I went just to fill a prescription , because I have STREP THROAT ! they only filled half, refused to fill the other part even though my doctor partners with them and has all the proper paperwork and when my doctor tried to call them twice they completely ignored my doctor calling ( I was standing there while the phone rang) and refuse to give me my medicine and now I have to sit in pain until tomorrow morning when I can find pharmacist who actually can do their jobs properly read more

Not to be confused with Al Greene's, which keeps pleading with me to stay together. This is the Walgreens in the really fancy area and it's not really my favourite because it never seems to have the things we want, but we do like coming in here just to pose and be sexy and Barbie likes to browse the makeup. Usually in any given Walgreens she will end up buying several items of makeup but on both occasions we've been here this year she didn't end up buying anything so... When we came here last year, there was a kitten in the parking lot, so I fed it, and security came out of the store (along with an employee) to start following me around, and then first asked me if I spoke English (lol) before telling me I couldn't be hanging out in the parking lot. And we'd just made a purchase too. If Barbie didn't like this store so much, I'd give 1 just for that. read more

This Walgreens location is very unprofessional. One of the technicians told me she could not find 1 out of 2 medications around 10 PM in person. I called to check the status of the medication at 2:21 AM over the phone and she mentioned it's been busy and she hasn't had time to look. Also, mentioned it's best to wait until the morning technician gets there because they are better with looking for medication. I should have to wait until 8 AM morning technician to start their shift because YOU don't know how to look properly for medication. If it's in alphabetical order why is the medication separated in the first place !!! For this to be a 24 hour walgreen they sure don't act like it. I am always on hold or the phone hangs up and I have to re-wait my place in line. read more

If you would like to explore the world and say go to a third world country but do not want to deal with the long flights, the airports, the vaccinations, the insurance, the thrills and the scares... despair no more. Your prayers have been answered. You can experience all of that in your friendly neighborhood Walgreens. This pharmacy is not only the least efficient pharmacy I have ever used to refill prescriptions, it also has the unhappiest employees and clientele I have ever seen. It is truly like traveling to an Eastern European country in 1980s. Unpleasantly lit, disorganized store aisles, a pharmacy in the back with a long line of what can only be called extras from the Mos Eisley cantina of Star Wars. Most clientele that approach the counter have to first tell their life story, and then ask for a prescription that they don't have refills, then keep asking for a refill even though the tech tells them they need their doctor to phone it in. This pharmacy is very good at calling me every day with their automated system, when it comes to refilling 4 prescriptions I need on a monthly basis in a manner that covers all four of them every time, they're not so good. Every time I show up one of the refills is not done. They are all from the same doctor, they are all renewed every 4 months, they all have the same refills so it boggles my mind with all this technology how it is that they get out of snyc and somehow get left out after 2 years of going to this pharmacy every month. The final straw that brought me here to write this review of bitter poisonous virtriol is the fact that I waited for 20 minutes in the drive thru last night and was never served. The drive thru was open, the light was on, there was no indication that it was closed. The pharmacy is 24hr, it was 9:20 pm when I showed up. Pharmacists kept walking by the window and not looking at us. There were several of us waiting. They never came. I left after 20 minutes assuming they were not doing drive thru and they just didn't want to deal with telling us that. Walgreens you see is a symptom, it's not the disease. Wallgreens is a company that has given up, like an old lady that stopped taking care of herself or a man way past his prime. Wallgreens is phoning it in, they don't care. They dispense poison as fast as they can. Whether they do a good job or bad, there will always be addicts knocking at their door for more. They know we need the medications so why would they perform any better than a DMV. Speaking of which even DMVs have cleaned up their act and caught up with the century. The Houston DMVs are amazing! So thank you Wallgreens to taking me back to 1980s in Eastern Europe during the cold war era. You're truly something special when it comes to disappointing us your customers in every way possible. read more

My doctor gave me paper prescriptions so I went in to have them filled. They told me it would be an 45 minutes to an hour. I waited for over an hour and checked back several times. Each time I was told it would take 15 minutes more. There were plenty of workers and they seemed to be having a party chatting and laughing. The drive through is fine. The prescription service is terribly slow and I don't understand why. With 3 people they should be able to quickly handle the lines. We received phone calls and e-mails saying they were ready. We arrived and waited behind 3 cars for 20 minutes. After another delay waiting for someone to come to the drive thru , we waited another five minutes after providing my name and birthdate. Only to be told they misplaced it and we could wait or come back later. So we came inside and waited another 15 mins in line. Still not ready. The workers are polite but seem to be buried by a difficult process and that surely could be streamlined. It is hard to understand how we are told it is ready only to arrive and hear they "misplaced it" Sorry guys but your management needs to support and lead improvements in your process and support the staff with more people read more

Every other review that is written about the incompetent pharmacy is true. I spent 30+ min in the drive thru trying to pickup 2 basic meds. They finally told me that I didn't have insurance. My entire family has a Walgreens account, with the same insurance card. I gave them my insurance card. Then they needed birthdates of everyone. After that, they claimed that insurance rejected the claim for the meds and I would either have to come inside or try again later. This is while I am sick. Completely usuless. I called CVS to have my prescription transferred, when they asked from where and I said Walgreens on Buffalo Speedway, she just laughed and said oh I hope they will actually answer the phone.‍ read more

Sad to say nothing has improved since last review with regard to pharmacy. Staff inattentive, unknowing and "going through the motions " of serving customers. Many in pharmacy use English as their second language and communication can sometimes be difficult. We have been using this Walgreens for some time but today will be our last. After waiting in line for 20 minutes I was told prescription not ready because doctor had not approved even though they sent a notice this morning it was ready for pickup. Turns out what was ready was an old prescription that had been discontinued months prior and NOT reordered. Recently they have been out of shelf products that have been shown available on website. When asked to check storage got an attitude like I was imposing. Too many competent other choices in area to continue with this location. read more

My prescription was sent a day before my surgery in the morning, medicine still not ready in the afternoon so I tried transferring it to a Kroger Pharmacy. Was on the phone for 40 min and when they finally answered the pharmacist was SO RUDE! Today I call krogers to see if the transfer was complete and they said they were on the phone with Walgreens for 30 minutes! And when they finally picked up the phone they immediately hung up on them. I'm 8 hours post op and I'm in pain, unable to take my medicine like my doctor ordered because of this pharmacy. Why can't I give NO stars? This is the most dysfunctional, poorly run business, not just pharmacy, I've ever encountered. Sat on my husband's prescriptions almost 24 hours after he was released from the hospital. I kept going to pick up the meds, and they'd have a different excuse everytime. Worse pharmacy ever. My 88 year old Mom went to pick up her Rx and they told her not all was ready. They told her 4 times to get out of line and circle back around over and over. My mom explained she had COVID and they did not care. Then they gave my mom her Rx with a made up price. Not only did the person at the window not use her insurance, she did not know how to add up the purchase correctly. My mom normally does not go to this location, but because she was sick she had to find a location to pick up with her car. Being in a nice area all I can say to the manager is SHAME ON YOU for allowing ignorant people to work for your store. You must be as ignorant as they are. The store is about the same as any other Walgreens, but this pharmacy is THE. WORST. Incredibly disorganized and inefficient. Months go by and they don't make any improvements. They take their sweet time filling prescriptions called in by one's physician - sometimes days. IF they acknowledge having received it the order - they frequently say they "didn't receive" orders even days after they were verified by a doctor's office as having been sent. Not talking about medications that are out of stock; they can take days to bottle it up even if they acknowledge they have it on hand. Even if they do prepare it, they don't update the Walgreens app - the app will perpetually say the prescription is "in progress," rendering the app useless for informing you if your medication is actually ready, so you have to take a chance and go over there and wait to find out if they actually did it. Then there are the numerous times when you can a notification it's ready, and you show up and wait 20 minutes or so just to get to the register to find it's either not ACTUALLY ready, or they can't find it, because after all this time, they seem unable to come up with a system to consistently stage the filled orders and train they personnel how to pick orders. Never less than a 15-20 minute wait in line, MINIMUM - not counting the times you have to step out of line to call your doctor or insurance back to have them make Walgreens get your order straight. They prioritize waiting on the drive-through customers and never have more than one register open at the pharmacy counter, no matter how many people are waiting. Almost every single time, they ring up an amount owed even if it's completely covered by your insurance or is prepaid by the card you have on file, so you have to wait even longer while they re-do the transaction. Somehow they DO have the correct information right in front of them in the computer, because when you say you prepaid, they say OK and re-ring the transaction, but they simply don't bother to get it straight the first time. If you're picking up a prescription for someone else, they might just get you to pay even when nothing is actually owed - is that the point? The times when the person who finally gets to the counter to learn their prescription isn't actually ready is about to nuke, it brings on a chorus of tales from the other people waiting to die of old age in line, and just about everyone down the line has a serious issue with the incompetence of this pharmacy. People being overcharged because their insurance coverage wasn't checked, people who relied on timely, urgent prescriptions and this pharmacy couldn't be arsed to bottle up their medication, people having to wait more than an hour in line or because they were told their order was ready and it's not. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The utterly unconcerned, chronic slack management of this location conveys that they know they'll make plenty of money regardless of how badly they do their jobs. read more
