Always out of the monthly prescription for my son, so I request to have it fill 5 days early, request gets put in to pharmacist review hell, call-wait on hold for 7 annoying minutes, told the prescription will be processed by end of day. Go next day to get script, out of the script can only offer me 14 of the 30, I ask when I can get the other 16, tells me I need a new script. What the f is going on? Am I being punked? read more

I have a love-hate relationship with Walgreens which results in 3 stars. They're the only store that carries my Arizona diet decaffeinated green tea - that counts for something. But have you ever used their phone service to refill a prescription? Half the time it doesn't work and that's after listening to 5 minutes of recordings that tell you the excruciating details of every break time their pharmacy staff plans to take for the entire week. The pharmacy is the worst. Days ago I called the pharmacy, hours in advance, asking what are the requirements for a friend to pick-up my meds that day since I had COVID. They explained the process and said they were busy but the medication would be ready in about an hour. I said that's fine. My friend couldn't get there until 6:00 PMish anyway. In the meantime, I get a text and automated voice mail message stating that my medication is ready for pick-up. My friend picks the medication, left it in my garage so as not to get COVID and left. When I went to retrieve the bag that was left for me, only one of the two meds was in the bag. Long story short, I called the pharmacy and was rather upset. I said I can't leave the house and I have to find someone else to pick-up the other medication because I'm unable to get a hold of my friend that originally picked up the meds. The person that answered the phone blamed my friend for not knowing what medication he was suppose to pick-up. I reminded this person that they have the doctors orders and I received two notifications that my meds were ready. About 2 weeks later yet another incident. Four days in advance I call Walgreens to request a refill on a medication. They said they would fax my doctor's office. The same day I called my doctor reminding them too. Knowing how problematic this pharmacy is, I called on Friday PM to make sure my meds were ready for pick-up the next day. I didn't want to run out. The person that answered the phone said they didn't fill the order because they didn't understand the doctors request. I had called days earlier. Why didn't they reach out to the doctor sooner if they had any questions? Especially since I called to remind them on a Friday and the doctors office was closed the following day. I had to explain the doctors order to this person and what the RX meant. I would also have to say the staff in that department isn't the friendliest. Lacking customer service skills. Especially Terry. Very unfriendly. Not to mention the last two times I called for 2 different types of meds days in advance, they were out of stock. One of the worst pharmacies I've ever been to In 60 years. Five days after having total knee replacement surgery they decided they were going to work on getting my Xarelto. Xarelto is a blood thinner that I needed. Unbelievable! The rather large older woman in the back is the most rude person I've ever dealt with in my life. I am sick after surgery and she treats me like a bag of dirt. What goes around comes around lady. read more

I have tried many times here, but honestly this is the worst Pharmacy experience every time. Time of day doesn't matter, same for day of week. You will always wait in a long line that moves extremely slow, not because of customer needs but because of staff. Paying ahead of time is pointless because they don't actually have or honor the express pass so what's the point, they just look more confused when you tell them it's paid for and show them QR code. Overall friendliness is lacking, almost as if they are all just over it and don't care. The location is so convenient but not worth the frustration every month. read more

This is a pretty good Walgreens. Plenty of easy parking, well stocked, pretty good employees, and an efficient pharmacy. I deducted a star for their prices. Almost every item here is more expensive than you'll find at WalMart, Jewel, Target, 7-Eleven, or CVS (none nearby). The employees here always greet you when you enter. It can seem annoying but I like that the management has standards for the employees and the employees follow them. I haven't used the photo department myself but customers I've seen using the photo kiosk's seem happy and the Photo/Electronics employee often asks those customers how they are doing. I use this location for urgent quick in and out stops. If I have a few more minutes then I'll use WalMart just a mile or so east on Joliet road. read more

I am currently disappointed. I went to Walgreens exactly 2 weeks ago because I saw their advertisement of 3-5 business days of developing my film camera. Why are you going to advertise and it's been past 5 days and to charge 14.99, so roughly 17$ I was hoping to have my pictures in my hands within 3-5 days . I am still hoping to receive my pictures:/ certainly not 100% satisfied right now. Will be looking into a different location next time. read more

I tried to return a malfunctioning item and I was told I would have to allow the store to enter my drivers license number in to their data base to get credit on my cc. I declined because i'm concerned about identity theft. I've used CC's for dozens of transactions and several thousand dollars every month for many years and i've never had another merchant insist on putting my drivers license number in their data base to issue a credit to my CC. So now I'm stuck with a defective $75 no touch thermometer. Very disappointing because I've been a Walgreens customer for 30, 40 years maybe longer. Very bad customer relations. I like most customers know we're over paying at Walgreens for the convenience but in exchange for over charging I think Walgreens should be more forthcoming in customer support. I paid Walgreens $75 for a malfunctioning no touch thermometer. Amazon has many of them for a lot less money and i'll bet most of them function correctly. read more

I just left this Walgreens and boy are they slow and inconsiderate. I was the 3rd person in line and there is 3 more people behind me and 1 cashier and at least 4 emplo on the floor just putting stuff on shelves and walking around back-and-forth not another cashier came up to open up a register. I was in line for like 10 minutes that's ridiculous this place has bad reviews and unfortunately I have to leave another one. read more

Horrible pharmacy service. Went to fill my prescriptions after oral surgery. Was greeted by a 7 person Lind in pharmacy. Nobody called for back up. The Asian pharmacist kept chatting and laughing with customers. The black bald guy kept taking newly arrived cars through the drive through over the people that have been standing in line. A woman in front of me was given 15 minute wait to which she replied "she'll be back later" when I gave my script the black guy gave me a FORTY FIVE minute wait, while a guy next to me dropping off a script was given 15 minutes. My script was very easy, fast rack items. 25 minutes later I got a call about an Insurance issue. Left and went elsewhere. They really don't understand when somebody is in pain and needs their pain pills. Rude, inconsiderate morons !!! read more

I read some previous reviews and wonder if the pharmacy staff has changed since. I honestly don't have any issues with the pharmacy staff at all, in fact they are super nice and very helpful every single time. Yes, sure you have to wait sometimes, but it is based on 'first come-first serve' basis. They get backed up or are short on staff also. People's expectations need to be reasonable. They serve so many there, why are you any special? Because your pain is greater than mine? Not cool. My only complaint for this location is that the kids put at the register mostly are very pissed to be at work dealing with customers. Teach them to smile and be welcoming, and sometimes communicate with customers. Even a friendly "Hello" can do so much. After a hard day at work, last thing I want to see is a kid who is pissed to be alive. We all have bad days, but some of these kids are an every day mood killers. read more

Transferred to pharmacy and the Indian pharmacist picked up, she berated me that the question that I had about my prescriptions was one that her tech could have answered and that I was wasting her time. The pharmacy totally shuts down for a lunch break really are there any offices that everyone goes to lunch at the same time, do they not know how to stagger lunch breaks, worked in ICU in hospital for 25 years can you imagine if we all went to lunch/dinner at same time. The pharmacy area is a joke especially now that they offer Covid shots. They pile everyone together in a line with a few chairs, no social distancing and the young girl asking people questions before their shots apparently has no idea what the HIPAA privacy laws are. She was shouting the questions to the customers rather than discussing their medical history in private. Plus on top of all that, they are very very slow! The pharmacist was EXTREMELY rude to me on the phone tonight when I called about my prescription refill. I'm not going to give his name, because I feel that's petty and obnoxious, but I do feel feedback is helpful, so here goes: I was placed on hold after putting my refill through the automated service to "speak to a pharmacist" about the fact that I was apparently out of refills. When I went to the doctor earlier this summer (and I readily admit I'm not entirely sure when the exact date of my doctor's visit was, but it was definitely within 2014), he filled out a prescription for a full year because I'd informed him that I always have trouble getting refills once a month after the initial three month period is up. He told me he'd fill out a prescription for a year so that whichever pharmacy I went to wouldn't have to keep calling to approve refills. When I told this to said pharmacist and inquired as to what I could do to not have to go through this process every single month, he became extremely short and curt with me, his tone indescribably rude, and informed me that if I had a problem with the way my doctor filled out my initial prescription, I would have to call them in the morning to get it fixed. He did not offer to help me in any way, he did not ask me for my doctor's information and he absolutely did not inspire any kind of confidence in me that my future interactions with Walgreens would be handled with any kind of tact. I realize it's the end of the night and the pharmacy closes in less than an hour, but when you work the late shift, there really isn't any other time to do business. I'm also aware that it's glaringly obvious that his day was just as bad and stressful as mine, but honestly, I could have done without the attitude at quarter after nine on a Wednesday night after a long shift at work. Just a short walk from home, I love going to this location. Staff is friendly, they have an outdoor Redbox on site too. My weakness here is the Nice! Candies- particularly chocolate covered raisins. Always in stock and fresh. Decent wine/beer/liquor selection surprisingly. Sales on other items aren't fantastic, so I mainly come here in a pinch. read more

The Walgreens store itself is very nice with friendly, helpful employees. The pharmacy on the other hand is a completely different story. They were rude to me and made me feel like a burden to them. I literally stood at the front counter for about 5 minutes before the lady typing on the computer said anything to me. I read some of the negative reviews and felt compelled to respond regarding the pharmacy. I visit often for prescriptions and have always had good service. VJ, the manager, has helped us many times, even though he is very busy. And the fact is, they are usually extremely busy, since they are the only pharmacy in the general area and absorbed the RX business from Dominick's when that store closed. read more
