Extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Walgreens in Lake Geneva. I placed a photo order for my daughter's first birthday -- a big day for our family. I picked up what I thought was a completed order, only to get partway home (with a cake and melting ice in the car) and realize the photos hadn't been trimmed as they were supposed to be. I had to drive all the way back to get it fixed. When I finally got home again -- now two hours later -- I opened the poster I'd ordered and discovered that it also wasn't trimmed to size. It looks sloppy and unusable. I tried calling the store to avoid another trip, but after being put on hold twice and never speaking to anyone, it seems I'll have to go back again just to get what I paid for. This is not the first time I've had issues at this location -- they've also failed to have prescriptions ready when promised in the past. I understand that mistakes happen, but there seems to be a serious lack of attention to detail and follow-through here. Not worth the stress or wasted time. read more

The Walgreens pharmacy in Lake Geneva offers very poor service. I had a prescription sent over that was a STAT order. The pharmacy was given all of the insurance information needed to process the order. They were called 3 times on 4/27/26 to be made aware of how serious the order and they reassured me that everything will be processed for a 4/29/26 pickup (today). Well, they didn't process anything, and they are just now sending over information to the physician's office for an authorization they say they needed. They stated that the authorization usually only takes about 24 hours to process. They were not able to give me an answer as to why they waited until today to send in this authorization request, and not send it Monday like they reassured me over the phone. The pharmacy technician used the excuse that their system is older than him and they are not able to read any insurance card information if it's attached in the app. He seemed to think that was a good enough response but that's horrible. So no one is fixing this system? This excuse was given to me years ago but I suppose it's not a priority for the pharmacy manager Vanessa Bellei and Walgreens corporate office to fix. Serious side effects occur within the liver if this medication is stopped abruptly. This is unacceptable. When I spoke to the insurance company shortly after, they were shocked that the pharmacy decided to wait until 4/29/26 to send in the authorization knowing there is a 24 delay, minimum. All of their notes shows that the pharmacy should have sent in the authorization 4/27/26. Now the pharmacy's negligence has delayed my care which luckily the doctor and insurance company documented in case there are medical issues from this. Also, if you care about privacy you won't get it here. Prescriptions are placed in bins that are visible to customers at the pharmacy pickup/drop off desk. The friendly staff, help me find exactly what I needed! They even helped me use a coupon, directing me to the ATM... And showed me where I could get a drink of water, for my empty coffee cup! I went to this Walgreens expecting it to be open 24 hours, but despite what they advertise, the front doors are locked. The only way to pick up anything is through the pharmacy drive-thru, which makes no sense if you're not picking up prescriptions. Very inconvenient and misleading for a store that claims to be open 24/7. read more

Seven hours after a prescription was dropped off and it's still not ready. I'm generously giving 1 star because I get product/prescription. If there was a lower option, I'd choose that in a heartbeat. Walgreens has a real problem that is only getting worse. Out of stock, outsourcing peoples prescription- is *not* beneficial to people who are sick and dont feel well. Calling your local Walgreens to be directed to a call center is not cool either. What once was a well oiled machine has been overhauled into a disaster. read more

The pharmacy staff is rude and never helpful at all. One time we had a prescription that couldn't be filled because they didn't have the meds. We asked if they could transfer the prescription to Delavan and was told no as they were too busy. We avoid this Walgreens as much as possible and would rather go to Delavan, Elkhorn or even Harvard even though it's a further drive. read more

Pharmacy Staff is always nice, they are busy but always nice! They handle narcotics, insurance and field questions that their liscenses make them liable for mistakes! It's a pharmacy they have to do these things carefully! As for the other employees they are quirky, friendly and fun. Nancy even bought me flowers a day a while back when I was down. The blonde in cosmetics is such a sweetheart and obviously loves her job! Unfortunately people are more prone to complaints than compliments so I hope this makes everyone's day who is working a little bit brighter! read more

If you have to go to the pharmacy, be prepared to spend at least an hour waiting for someone to help you. I'm not sure why, but everytime we come here the service is so slow. We won't be back. read more

I'm new to the area and I attempted to transfer my regular prescriptions to this pharmacy in Lake Geneva. I spoke to a pharmacist who was very pleasant but wasn't very helpful. I told them that my current prescription was at my old Walgreens more than 2 hours away and I would not get there in time before they closed. I also made them aware that I would be getting very sick without my meds and because my meds were a partial fill, (my old pharmacy didn't have many in stock) that they couldn't or wouldn't help me. I even asked if they could give me just enough medicine to hold me over until I could make the 4 hour round trip drive to get another script and then transfer it to them. They told me they would not. I am shocked that they were so unhelpful especially when COVID is still rampant. Very disappointed with this pharmacy. A similar situation has happened to me previously and two other pharmacies were more helpful than this place. I'm not sure if I will be going to the Walgreens in Lake Geneva read more

Very slow pharmacy service. Only filled 2 of 3 orders after waiting 30 min. Never offered to talk to pharmacist about new med. Called and waited 15 min for someone to pick up pharmacy phone when caalling from home. Told will get manager if they dont pick up. Ask to speak to manager after getting excusses why it wasnt filled and was told they are not there. So poor service, long wait, excusses and lies....never again! read more

I see a number of recent poor reviews. I've been using this location for at least 3 years. My rating due to mixed experience, more so with pharmacy than general shopping. Sadly when it comes to drive up pharmacy in particular, it can definitely be frustrating. Simply depends on time you go. I have some flexibility so have had mixed experience and generally go when I know it will be less busy. If there are several cars in line, it can be very slow. I'll park and go inside but can be just as busy. Seems like we all show up at the same time, lol. I think the staff are generally helpful, especially in person. Not a 5 star service but haven't personally experienced rude staff. Occasionally have to call pharmacy and sometimes get someone who's not having the best day. I get my answer but not always happy campers on the other end. I appreciate that they are open 24 hours (except meal break at 1:30 am). Think I can manage around that. When I moved here, I had no issues transferring Rx to them, but I was also using Walgreen's in other location so not a big deal. Pharmacist has been helpful answering questions. I plan to continue as a customer as there is more good than bad. read more

This is the worst Walgreens pharmacy I have ever been to. What a nightmare. The pharmacist gives questionable information during consultation. The wait is ridiculous. I am taking my business elsewhere. Not that it matters to Walgreens, but it doesn't surprise me to have recently read they are closing some stores. Also, make sure you count your meds before you leave. I was shorted 30 allergy pills on a 60 pill prescription. That's inexcusable for a pharmacy. How does such a big error happen? Does anyone check the bottle after the machine dispenses the pills? They need a better system to assure accuracy. Shame on you Walgreens. Pay attention. A little over/under at a deli is fine, but not at a pharmacy. What other errors are going on? Get it together Lake Geneva. Epic fail. read more

The scheduling system triple scheduled Covid 19 vaccine appointments. Walgreens honored the appointments and I received my vaccine within 20 minutes of my appointment time. I was impressed and thankful. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I went two months ago to fill a prescription. I was told it would be about a 20 minute wait. Long story short, I was still there two hours later after waiting, waiting some more (already twice the original wait time) having a question for the pharmacist, waiting again, talking to pharmacist, waiting in line again for a cashier, heaven forbid having a manufacturers coupun, being sent to another line, waiting, having them fix the coupon, being sent back to original line, waiting, and finally being able to pay and getting out the door. Over two hours. All with a sick 8 y/o and an impatient toddler. We don't have regular prescriptions so I haven't been back until last night when had to hit the 24 hour drive through at 11:30 pm after spending 3 hours in the er. The woman at the window couldn't find our information (which hasn't changed since last time we were there) so spent about 5 minutes re entering all of our contact/ insurance info. After a 20 minute wait for amoxixillin, the pharmacist comes over the intercom and says 'Soooooo.... is there a dosage here?' Me: I'm sorry? (not understanding why he would ask me such a thing when it's clearly written on the script I gave them) I believe it's 5 ml's 3x a day... Is it not written on the prescription? Him: Riiiiiiight......So is it for, what, 7 days? Me: Yes. Today until May 11th. Him: Mmmmmhmmmm.... WTH? Are you the pharmacist or aren't you because you sound like a stoned teenager. Are you confused? Are you asking me because you don't know or is this some kind of quiz on my part cause I've never had a pharmacist ask me for dosage info before filling a prescription when they're holding the script in their hand. Generally a pharmacist fills the script, instructs you on dosage, hands over the meds, and says have a nice day. After our interaction I was not impressed with his nonsense and apathy and seriously questioning his competency. I felt like he had no idea what day it was, let alone having the first clue about the medication i was to give my child. I will be taking future prescriptions elsewhere. read more

The store only has one employee up at the main register in the evening which are busy times, and the other employees are non-existent during busy times. They have a younger male evening cashier who is painfully slow checking you out, he has no sense of urgency. They heat the store really hot because cashiers are by the front doors, and while you wait in a long slow line you are literally dripping if you are wearing winter gear. I literally avoid the place at all costs due to lack of service. Also the refrigerators are always low on stock of frozen meals, the refrigerated food is not very diverse and not many healthy choices. It is a last choice! Lake Geneva needs a good convenience market with freshly made food, variety of frozen and essentials. Kelley's doesn't cut it, the new gas station doesn't, and neither does Walgreens! read more

Very Slow Service & InExperienced Tech's ( Young Girls, Like Interns) and Far too many Seniors using this Wal Greens slowing things Up..They ask alot of Questions When they get their Prescriptions when they should use the Consultation area, not when Picking it up and Paying for it.. and Yes, its about 12% Higher Cost for their Prescriptions than The One in Paddock Lake and Delevan WG's.. Probably because its in the Affluent Town Of of Lake Geneva... Ask when is best time to come in if you can and go then.. read more

I mean, it's your standard Walgreens - we got sunscreen, ibuprofen, etc. Also they are allowed to sell alcohol so that made one less stop we had to take. It is very conveniently located to downtown Make Geneva. Lots of parking. Employees nice. read more

Slowest pharmacy drive-thru I have ever been to. Ever. It is not unusual to sit for 15 minutes before the line even moves.

Everyone complaining about how slow the pharmacy is. First of all. Drive thru is for RX that you have ready to pick up not new RX. And for the long lines....you need to wait your turn. Your not more important than the person that needs to understand their medication. If your in a hurry-have your RX called in ahead of time and take a deep breath. read more

Have been a customer for over 30 years at walgreens. The pharmacy in Lake Geneva Wisconsin lost my business for good. Horrible customer service and prescription errors over and over again finally did it. A few problems form time to time can happen but this store can't get anything right. read more

I am a regular customer at Lake Geneva Walgreens and I usually come in once a week to pick up e-cigarettes. The e-cigarettes I usually get are very hard to find and the Walgreens here usually has a couple I can snag. I called Walgreens to save me a trip just in case they were out of stock. It's 4:28pm on Saturday, October 14th, the employee I talked straight up lied to me. He claimed that Walgreens does not sell N-Joys (the e-cigarettes I smoke). I told him I was just in Walgreens of Lake Geneva and that I know for a fact that they do sell N-Joys. He right away got nervous and started reading off all the e-cigarettes they carried which in his rambles says,"N-Joy". I explained to him what the box looked like and right away he stated, "Nope, don't have em." I am highly irritated that this employee was so rude to me. Walgreens needs to hire people who actually care about their job and care about the customers that spend their hard earned money in there. It's now 3pm and I've been calling Walgreens since 8am and they still disconnect my call and "can't find my number to call me back" and take messages from me that don't get to the pharmacist. Without question the most expensive Walgreens I have ever visited. I would definitely avoid buying body wash, shampoo, razors m, etc.
