I have been going to this Walgreen's for quite awhile. If we are in Lakewood is our favorite, Walgreen's to shop for goodies or hair care products. But today my review will focus on something else. Today I must say they were super heroes for my little guy today. Going to get vaccines once or twice is hard enough but trying to convince him to go get a booster took some effort. But we had a great lady who was so patient and she was such an angel. Today she was wearing a cape and got my baby son still enough to do that shot. He said he did not feel anything. And yes they give lollipops if you be brave. I believe anyone of all ages who do this is so brave. I enjoyed the care provided and the encouragement. If you want to go take your little ones in there for vaccines, it is a good place to go. It is a drug store but the staff providing injections have great bedside manners for children. The store has always been great for me, but the pharmacy is another matter. If your time in the day means nothing to you, if you don't mind watching people who came in after you with an appointment after yours get to have their shot before you and enjoy watching one of the staff members behind the counter bark at other staff members, then you came to the right place. After deciding to still come here for my refill medications- The service has been a lot better. I've received my items in a timely manner and I've had no other issues. I have not got a flu shot here again so cannot speak on any changes in this area thus far. Over all, Pretty good read more

Went in for a passport photo, and the Walgreen's employee (Draven) at the photo center said they "usually do them", but decided today they aren't offering passport photos today, it was 3pm on a Sunday. Said they were too busy...there was literally no other customers in the store. Asked how long the passport photos take, said 15 minutes, and couldn't do them in case "something comes up" or "has to answer the phone". There was another Walgreens employee at the checkout register doing nothing. Was told I could go to another Walgreens...I went across the street to the CVS. Took 5 minutes, the CVS employee was very helpful. Don't waste your time going to Walgreens, terrible customer service...lazy employees, unhelpful, lame excuses, and apparently I was bothering them by coming in to pay for a photo service. I would give them negative stars if option was available. read more

Went to pick up a photo order today, was talked down to by several employees and they wouldn't even hear me out or let me speak when I was explaining I had already placed my order and just wanted to pick it up. I've always had a good experience coming to this Walgreens location. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They also don't seem to judge customers based on what they buy. I always find the cutest trinkets here as well ! From books to gadgets for my home & their return process is fairly easy as well. Pharmacy seems to be busy more often than not but still take care of customers swiftly. read more

This Lakewood location of Walgreen's has been around as long as I can remember.. okay, maybe that's the early 90's. It's on the corner of a very busy intersection (Bridgeport) and so it can be a bit tricky to turn in/out of unless you happen to catch a slow traffic time. My mom wanted to come buy some soda which they were having on 'sale'. I noticed signs they had posted everywhere which stated they had a '30 minute limit' on all parking. I found this to be quite strange as the parking is quite ample and I didn't think they had parking 'issues.' My husband joked that maybe people were leaving their cars but they don't have bars or other places nearby which would cause people to abandon their cars for longer than 30 mins. But moving on.. The store is a smaller location (since it was built about 20 years ago) and so the selection is often limited. There seemed to be a lot of people re-stocking the shelves in the food/photo department which always annoys me. Do that stuff when it's late at night and you're closing or when you don't have a busy store. Don't do that when you have people trying to shop 'around' you and your boxes! read more

Worst pharmacy in Pierce County! Most, not all, of the pharmacy employees treat you like you are an inconvenience and they are not helpful at all. Only 1 employee has ever tried to help resolve a problem (after another employee sent him to attend to another person who made racially offensive comments about him). Being told that I could just "go find another pharmacy with my prescription in stock" again today I will never make another purchase at a Walgreens. Years ago they would offer to call another Walgreens to see if your prescription is in stock, the least they could do is tell customers they aren't able to if company policies don't allow it anymore. The staff are rude and don't seem to be a piece of healthcare that believes in compassion. read more

So, I avoid this out-of-my-neighborhood-Walgreens store due to general filth, panhandlers, and the parking lot. My neighborhood Walgreens did not have any flu shots appts so I made an appt online. Huge mistake. Their website and mobile app were unmitigated disasters, circa 2005. When I arrived 15 mins early for appt (as requested) , the tech didn't know Walgreens had flu shot appts. I showed her the text confirmation. I've been here 60 minutes as I type and would leave, but I'm hostage because they already charged my insurance. HOT MESS. WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS DISASTER AREA AGAIN. PS- The employees are not the problem. Corporate management did a Bait and Switch on me, led me to believe they had flu shot appts, made me waste time uploading personal data into a third-world mobile site, and then made me waste an hour of my life because they DON'T REALLY HAVE APPTS. It's no secret to anyone that knows me that I'm TERRIFIED of the dentist. Dr. Chad (there's two Parkers in my dental office, father and son), gives me a prescription of four Valiums each time I come in. Yes, for a teeth cleaning. Now you are left to wonder what happened when I was young... Let's just say that one dentist who was not a dental surgeon (although he spoke Chinese, which seemed to be the most important thing about a dentist to my mom) pulled my front tooth after a root canal (was nine). Then years later pulled it out along with my wisdom teeth at 17. I only had two on the bottom - ALL three teeth came out at the same time. I guess the dentist decided I needed to go on a diet. He also thought I didn't understand Chinese while he and his wife/ assistant we scrambling around looking on the floor for part of one of my wisdom tooth after it had snapped and he dug around in "hole" for 30 minutes and couldn't find it. So yes, I am a wimp and need Valium. But at Walgreens, they charge $11.92 for four of them! REALLY!!??? I gave them two stars because they have a drive thru service. But the price was outrageous. Once they stopped taking Tricare, it went from $1.62 to $11.92? And I that if the medication didn't cost as much as the co-pay, you just pay the normal price. I checked the receipt - it wasn't wrong. This infuriates me, since I am not allowed to drive or ride to the dentist on Valium so I have to walk. This is the policy of the dentist's office, but it's a smart one. Walgreens was on the way to the dentist. So I used to pick it up on the way there, take it right away, and when I got there, be ready. This doesn't encourage me to go to the dentist. But I will keep it up, since I don't want gross teeth falling out of my head. And did you know that gum disease leads to heart disease? It's true - that's why flossing is so important. I love my dental office, but I do really despise Walgreens for making it so much harder for me to go. read more

I wish you would have clarified that before i even ordered a print out!! My photographer is based in the philippines and i dont know how to contact them. Make sure you check your meds you get filled at Walgreens. I had some pain pills filled and they gave me the wrong dosage!!! I kept wondering why I was in so much more pain! Dr. Looked at my scrip and said you don't have to correct dosage!!! They said they were sorry, and I know people are human so they make mistakes! They did Not have my depo shot the first time, its 100$ a pop and in high demand. They ran out. The store is always clean and the lines to pay are decent. There do have a drive thru with two lanes for prescriptions. All the clerks are so friendly and very helpful. I love coming here. read more

Rude pharmacy staff that refused to answer whether they could fill my prescription (a medication I was having trouble finding anyone to fill because of high demand and backorders), and they wouldn't even tell me if I could fill it until I came in the store in person and handed them the prescription. When I said I wanted to find out if they could fill it first, the pharmacist hung up on me. Very rude and unprofessional. I had the worst experience today at this Walgreen's. I had a prescription called in around 11am this morning. I arrived at the location around 12:30 expecting it to be filled. When I went through the drive thru, the woman at the window was nice and explained that it wasn't ready, but would be in about 15 minutes. I parked in front of a "30 minutes or less" sign so I killed about 10 minutes getting a Redbox movie and sitting in my car. After going inside, I did some shopping and waited in line for the pharmacy, and was seen about 20 minutes after I'd originally gone through the drive thru. I was told the prescription still wasn't ready, so I sat down and waited some more. Finally, 30 minutes after I'd been through the drive thru and 2 hours after the prescription was called in, they called me to the counter. The pharmacist first asked if I was "Panda," and my name is "Amanda" so I thought it was a bit rude to be so informal. Especially seeing as he didn't apologize... Then he proceeded to tell me that there was an issue with filling my prescription and that he'd need to call the doctor, but that "they were probably busy" and "it could take a while." How do they expect you to pick up a prescription in 30 minutes or less if they won't fill the prescription? I asked if he could move my prescription to a closer Walgreens so that I could pick it up somewhere closer to home, and he told me that it was the doctor's responsibility to move it. I thought that was strange, as I'd always switched them through Walgreens, but called the doctor anyway. I was sent back to Walgreens to switch the pickup location. I decided not to since going back to this location seemed easier, but it's been six hours since my visit and it still isn't filled. Completely unprofessional. I'm switching my year's worth of prescription to a different location so I NEVER have to come back here again. read more

I decided to give this Walgreens a try even after reading the 2 bad reviews. Well, they are accurate. Dropped off 3 prescriptions, when I came back to pick them up 4 hours later, was told they could not fill 1 of them due to it being a compounded med. 2 problems with this, first why didn't that get noticed when I dropped it off so I could get it to the correct place or a different med. Second, no call from the pharmacy at all. When I asked why I didn't receive a call they told me they thought the doctor would have called me. Suffice it to say, stay away from this company, no customer service skills to speak of. read more

I came into pick up my holiday cards and a few calendars...they quickly noticed a month was missing from the calendar and were very apologetic and fixed it right away and even offered a discount. The girls behind the counter were so friendly! I've always been happy with this location and with Walgreens I order my pictures from them all the time but this was an experience that deserved a help review! read more
