And I have to get off of my car pick up my phone because she put it too far from me .And she didn't pay any attention when I told her I couldn't get my phone . This is my pharmacy of record for all of my doctors to send my prescriptions. I switched from Walmart to here because it's easy to get in and out (now that it's not congested with COVID vaccination customers). I tend to try to use the drive-thru window but honestly the wait in the outside line is usually longer than if I just got out and went in. When I'm feeling the height of laziness I sit and wait no matter the length. Since I got me new jacked up jeep though, I can't reach the window so I have to get off my butt and go in lol. Anywho, the pharmacy staff here is really nice and super helpful when asking questions about prescriptions that are out of stock and read as "delayed" on the Walgreens app. Aside from the pharmacy, Walgreens Carrie's one of my favorite lines of products that I cannot find elsewhere; Soap and Glory. I was ordering it from a drugstore chain in London and then came into the store one day and stumbled across the line. I was pretty excited to not have to pay international shipping anymore. Additionally, they carry a large portion of the products not just a couple. The NICE brand that they carry has a lot of options for products that you might not be able to get from other brands. I'm pretty impressed with this Walgreens. Walgreens in general don't get good reviews but I don't know what people expect... This is a great, clean and friendly location that is very easily accessible from Blue Diamond or Durango with multiple entrances from the streets. There is a lot of traffic due to the other businesses in the area. This one has a lot to offer from food, drinks, alcohol, medicines, makeup and a pharmacy. I got here this morning at 655 and they promptly opened at 7am for me and a couple other people who also showed up early. The shelves are fully stocked and everything is available. They also have quite a few things on sale currently. I love the dual Redbox kiosk out front and the Blue Rhino to refill the BBQ propane's. read more

The pharmacy at this Walgreens is absolutely absurd. First they always try to change my medication to their "preferred" alternative, no stop this, just fill my script the way it's written by the doctor. Second the lines here are so long and incredibly slow. Doesn't matter if you go inside or not. It will take minimum of 45 minutes just to get through the line. Third their automated service never works to refill my prescriptions. It will tell me that there aren't any refills even though there is. So this forces me to call them. But when I call, THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE, or they do answer it just to tell you to "hold on" just to ultimately get hung up on. This is absolutely unacceptable. I just spent an hour and 13 minutes on hold trying to get through to this pharmacy and they HUNG UP ON ME before they even answered the phone. If you need prescriptions, go somewhere else. We've been in the drive through pick up line for TWENTY MIN and they haven't helped a single car. This is absurd. Literally had to pull out of line to walk in and get my medication, which I didn't want to do because I had my daughter and dog in the car. And it still took another 15 min just to pick up. It didn't need to be filled, just picked up. It's no wonder why this place has bad reviews. The phone system is terrible, you can't get anyone to pick up, and the management is horrible!!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. This has nothing to do with the customer service in the store I think they are great. The negative issues come from the pharmacy specifically. A pharmacy's role is to assure people are getting the right treatment in order to get better. The pharmacy workers here do not care about the needs of the people, but rather leaving for the night. I understand there are certain things you need to do when closing but in healthcare peoples pain and medical needs should come first. You gave up that right of going home early / on time when you decided to enter into the medical field. I don't know if it was a racial issue but I was the last person in line and once I got to the counter I was refused service because I came 5 minutes before closing, than waited another 10 minutes so you could call another location where I had to wait another hour for something you already had. You don't know my schedule nor what it took for me to even get your location in the first place. All of the employees are taking advance of a medical system that pays you to put pills in bottles. I used to be a Licensed Pharmacy Tech for Sav-On and am completely aware of the process and responsibilities associated with the position. 7 out of 10 times I go to this pharmacy, there's a problem. 3/2016 Stopped here the other night, was on a mission to see what was marked down from Christmas! There was still items left surprisingly and it was New Years Eve, I have been to this Walgreen's many times before. I did find some good stuff to buy! My order should have been ready yesterday when I needed it. I had to call my doctor to have them redirect my prescription to Walmart. It was ready in an hour and picked up no problemp. The issue with Walgreens, according to my doctors office, is Walgreens has been having problems with their system. A virtual Urgent Care doctor met with me via an online video call. He called in a script to my Walgreens. Finally I thought I was going to get some medicine! But NO! My typical Walgreens store on Blue Diamond & Decatur is magically closed today. How can they close the pharmacy with no forwarding help? I finally found a Walgreens Pharmacy that was open, on Rainbow and Tropicana. I called 8-10 times only to be left on hold for 20-30 minutes each time to then be hung up on. If I ever need anything quick I drop by this walgreens. It's the closest thing to my place and it has all the necessities. The staff here is really nice. When I went in today there were two girls working in cosmetics and I couldn't decide which face wash to get so they gave me a couple recommendation and really helped me out. They also helped me pick out a moisturizer. I usually just come by for some quick stuff like toilet paper or a quick candy run. They also have good prices. One of the cashiers is an older lady that is always talkative and helpful. I've also have some pictures developed here and they are so quick. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. We went in after we discovered a prescription did not correspond with the label and we were concerned we had been given the wrong meds. No apology although bizarrely, after they confirmed the medication was correct (though still mislabelled), they offered to throw it away. Why throw away the correct meds?? We then asked for the pills to be replaced because the cashier handled some of them without first sanitising her hands, even assuming (which we doubt) that the cashier is properly trained in handling prescription medication. The cashier refused. Then the pharmacist also handled some of the pills, again without taking any steps to sanitise, so we were left with pills that had been handled by two staff members. We then demanded that the container of pills be replaced having been handled so many times but the pharmacy manager refused. She simply poured out a half dozen of the pills and replaced those. Apparently she has x-ray vision and some psychic ability to know exactly which pills had been improperly handled! It's hard to believe they would act like this in America. We intend to file a formal complaint with regulatory bodies but, in the meantime, would again urge everyone to avoid this pharmacy because they clearly don't follow proper sanitary controls. read more

This is my second time going in there and today it was made clear that I'll never go back. Bought a box of cookies and was excited because they were Disney themed. To my shock, when looking on the side, it had an expiration date of 2/27/17! Feb 2017! Last I checked it was a June. Yes, it's a small box of .79 cent cookies, but still, this box is like 4 months past it expiration. I was checking out the last of the holiday clearance and this store did a pretty good job of posting prices, which can be a problem with holiday clearance stuff. First of all, yes it is super busy. Having said that I understand it can take some time to get things done. Everyone is always super kind. I've never had an issue with them answering the phone. They get my prescription filled the same day as long as my insurance doesn't cause issues. I definitely recommend. The pharmacy here is absolutely awful. The customer service sucks and they try to screw you over by pushing off the brand name expensive drugs. My OB prescribed an anti-nausea med and asked if I needed prenatal. I was running low so I said, sure might as well add that on. My husband went to the pharmacy to get my meds (bc I really needed the one for nausea as my morning sickness has gotten pretty awful). Well, the guy at the counter just handed him the meds, didn't mention what he was handing over nor did he give any info about the meds. He charged my husband $102. My husband didn't question it because he thought he was getting two meds and thought maybe the anti nausea one was pricey. He got home and gave it to me and it was only one freaking med- the prenatal which I didn't even need. I called the pharmacy and was told that the prenatal was normally like $300 and after my insurance was $102! That is absurd!!! Plus, they said if I wanted the diclegis it was going to be like $600!!! I get that they don't price meds... that's big pharma screwing us.... What pisses me off is (1.) the guy didn't review anything with my husband (if he had, my husband never would have spent that much on vitamins), and (2.) the pharmacy should be discussing generics that are available and a hell of a lot cheaper! I looked up diclegis under my insurance and it says it's like $300 after insurance.... but the generic is only like $10. I left there thinking I couldn't get the anti-nausea med because it was too expensive.... only to learn that there is in fact a generic substitute.... which I discovered at 11pm, after multiple trips to the bathroom to puke my guts out, and way after the dam pharmacy closed. They misread my prescription as 1 pill instead of 1 box, blamed my doctor, insisted there was nothing they could do, and made me wait an hour while I talked to 3 different people who all had time to argue with me but no time to double check the prescription, which they had misread. They were perfectly willing to send me away knowing I had no other way to get my antibiotic and kept repeating that they could only dispense what was on the prescription. Its ironic how the manager used the words "a pharmacist can lose their license for not following the prescription" but when the pharmacist is the one who screws it up, the pharmacist has no accountability. I only needed to print a one page document through their photo kiosk which literally has an option on this kiosk however their USB charging chord wouldn't support my iphone and i chose the option to extract the file from my phone. I asked a store clerk for assistance and that he would grab a manager for me--a gentleman. Five minutes trying to configure my phone to this computer kiosk...and this lady just stares and stand to my left without greeting or even asking what she can do to help. So I instead say hello to her like a normal people.... and politely ask her if she has the answer to why i cant connect my phone to this kiosk. This lady is suppose to be the manager of this location, and yet she has the poorest of customer skills by not simply greeting or even being polite. I have the worst experience every time I pick up prescriptions here, which is 1-2 times monthly. Sometimes the line is so long and I have waited for 15 minutes without a car moving forward that I just leave and come back later. Most Walgreens I've been to are understaffed it seems and the pharmacy is run so inefficiently. Today, this is my second time waiting in line and I've been sitting here for about 20 minutes (7 cars in line) only 2 have moved forward this whole time. Seriously someone needs to fix this issue!
