Not the closest location, but it's my favorite. I get my meds picked up from here for the last 3 years. The pharmacist know me by name and they're the main reason I continue to come back. I love coming to this Walgreens all the staff are friendly except a few but overall everyone is helpful and amazing. I know sometimes you can expect a line at the pharmacy or register and it's not like they don't want to help you it's the fact that the hire ups don't want to provide more employees to help. for example at the pharmacy they only have 2 people the pharmacist and the technician. They are doing the best that they can but if they aren't allowed to have 2 people all the time then why do they get mad when people get upset. Let people work like they used to. This place can have 5 stars all the time if you stopped overworking your employees and had some more help throughout the day! read more

What happened to the pharmacy here? All new staff and there used to be cars in the drive thru. Now I go right up to the window and they never have filled my called in prescription. I have to go back the next day. Nobody is even there and I have to go back the next day? It's so bad, I'm looking into driving further away for staff that give a crap. read more

I needed to pick up some prescriptions at the pharmacy. Nobody was in line so I was helped right away. I was greeted very politely and checked out with my prescriptions fairly quickly. The entire store was wry clean and organized. When I was walking out I was asked if I needed any help finding anything and when I replied no, the employee wished me a good evening and to let them know if I changed my mind. read more

I couldn't get the photo printing service to work, despite an hour of trying all kinds of different options in the store, in the app, and on the website. I explained my issues to the two employees who were there and they both just kind of shrugged. If you need printing services, go down the block to UPS or around the corner to Package Plus instead, where you'll actually get customer service. There is a worker named abby who was intentionally rude to me even though I asked very politely what the bathroom code is. She said I have to buy something which I agree with but my friends were literally inside buying things for our house while I needed to just use the restroom. She ignored me while I sat there in utter shock from how nonchalant and rude she was. I have given this Walgreens my business for 13 years and every year they stress me out and I hate getting my prescriptions there. Not anymore. I'm done! I refill my prescription online on a Thursday and am told it won't be ready til Monday. Go in Monday and I'm waiting a half an hour in line while the lady behind the counter is filing away other prescriptions all while making the customer in front of me while they fill her prescription. Then I get to the counter and she tells me the pharmacist has to fill it now and would I like to wait. I've already waited a half an hour in line for her to tell me this! This happens all the time there. There's always an excuse! If I go through the drive through, they take forever. Everything is locked up. I have to call for someone to unlock a cabinet for just about everything. I'm leaving Walgreens forever!! read more

Why? Why does this location only have two stars, I visit my elderly mother from California and pick up her prescriptions here. The store is always very clean, stocked and offer great service. Torn between two and three stars: one of the less efficient Walgreens. Pharmacy staff is generally on it, and my 'scripts are ready when quoted, but they don't always take the initiative to actually help you when you're waiting right in front of the cashier (or in the drive thru) without being prompted. For a pharmacy, I expected to find more than one option when looking for B1 vitamins, and the fact that the majority of their multis start at the $18 price range was ridiculous- this isn't the Vitamin Shoppe or GNC. I tried to transfer prescriptions from CVS, as it was closer to my home.Well, one was the dreaded opiate, Hydrocodon Twice they told me to come back after a half hour over a course of several The third time they told me they were not allowed to fill it because of blah, blah blah., they had to call the doctor to see if the prescription was not forged. New pharmacist 'Lost my scripts for 45mins, said incorrect info reg Prior Auth, is arrogant and very rude. He doesn't pay attention on the telephone and will talk to several other techs and customers during a telephone call. We even heard a pharmacy tech say to him "your getting on my last nerve", however she is terrible at her job anyway. The previous pharmacist from 2015-Summer 2018 was phenomenal however he changed locations. They are extremely disorganized now and their ordering system is very inconvenient and disappointing. (-orders out only on one day, so need a med Thursday, they won't order it until Monday and you'll get it the following Thursday, eg. A week later) *Bare in mind it's a medication I have gotten there every month for over 4 years. The store manager is very helpful and assertive however this new pharmacist is the final straw that causes my decision to permanently change locations. read more

I have to review this again. They have a new pharmacy staff and they are terrible. I ignored them being obnoxious, missing prescriptions, just not being focused. However they have now stopped to outright lying. I called about a prescription, they said the dr needed to Renee it, no problem, called the dr and let them know. The still said they didn't have it, so I called again. They said yep, they sent it. Then the pharmacy person told me the number I gave them is for a hospital. I argued, been going here for years, they said the pulled the address up for that phone number???? Again, I read it to them. They said that number is for a hospital, and that's why they couldn't refill it because hospitals don't do that. This when on a couple days. They DID give me three pills to get me through. Today the person working there insisted she had been calling over and over, and no one would answer. I called, the Drs office answered on the second ring and is calling them. As soon as possible I will be moving all my scripts, my daughters, my girlfriends, everything to somewhere else. This place is full of idiots. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. Transferred my scripts here because it was closer, well that was a mistake. I did the drive thru a few times during slow hours and it was at least 20mins before anyone sees you. So I started walking in and that's even worse. They are slow as molasses and understaffed. They'll make you wait in line while they ignore you. My real complaint is when they tell you your prescription is ready and when you go pick it up it's not. Another 30min wait. The last straw was when I went to pick up test strips (diabetic) that were clearly prescribed,on paper, by my doctor and was given the wrong ones. To be clear, I even confirmed w the pharmacist on duty as to the meter I was using and strips I needed. So I called the pharmacy and they said to bring them in for an exchange. Went down there and waited an hour for Lisa to tell me they weren't in stock. The whole time she's communicating w me from her chair that she doesn't get off. Rude But here's the kicker. After refunding me my money and sending me down the road, she says "It was MY responsibility to check if I had the right test strips before I left". Really? So instead of apologizing for THEIR mistake, I was blamed for not checking my prescription. Now that's BS I know this is just test strips but what if you filled the wrong meds and somebody dies. Slowest, most incompetent drive through service I've encountered at a pharmacy. The only reason they aren't getting a 1 star review is that I'm able to fill a hard to find prescription here. Seriously, if you're dropping off a prescription in the drive through be aware one lane isn't open (it's been this way for months) and you'll be at the window at least ten minutes, not counting however long you have to wait for all the other cars. I'm now downgrading the review to 1 star. I've been on hold for over 30 minutes and no one ever answers the phone. This pharmacy sucks. And to top it off their system disconnected me after holding for so long. read more

WALGREENS PHARMACY DEPT. I was at the location to fill a prescription. First time was a breeze. I called my prescriptions in for a refill and attempted to pick them up few days later, I ran into problems. The pharmacy-assistants kept informing me to come back because they were having some problems with my worker's comp insurance. The 3rd time I went back to the pharmacy, I spoke to a different person. She also ran into the same problem with my worker's comp insurance but was very patient and thorough that she was able to resolve what the other assistants were not able to do. After a month of going back and forth, I was finally able to fill my prescriptions and went home a happy camper! THANK YOU Ms. SOSHEE!!! read more

The Walgreens on Charleston and Torrey Pines is, by far, the WORST Walgreens in the state of NV. They are habitually slow to wait on people in line and drive thru. Went in Christmas day for some Mucinex D. They only had the paper advert that you take to the Pharmacy. Fun fact...Pharmacy was closed. Ended up with Ibuprofen and a box of Puffs Lotion which was $1 cheaper than at CVS. Kind cashier with quick check out. Skipped the 2 for $5 Orange Juice thinking I could find it cheaper...exhausted by the drive to CVS...really actually should've gotten OJ here. The manager wasn't very accommodating. There was a damaged item that I inquired about and I asked if they were able to put a discount on it since the packaging was almost completely destroyed but they still wanted full price for damaged goods. I don't recommend going to this one. read more

If there was a no star rating, it would definitely go to walgreens. I have been coming to this pharmacy for YEARS to pick up my scripts for my entire family. But not anymore. This new booty pharmacist 1st ignores me while I'm standing in line for service. When my usual girl comes up to help me, she looks over and makes a mad dash over to harass me. She tells the girl who usually helps me to go and she will take I over. She starts to ask me questions such as" how many do you take, are you pregnant and then says are these really for you. I told her excuse me but I have several dr's who are monitoring me and my health. I then was told that if I do not listen to her/ answer her belittling questions that I would not get my prescriptions. First you lose my script and now your calling me a drug addict. I'm sorry in advance to the pharmacist at this location but his assistants are worthless!! Good luck getting your Rx on a "busy day". The assistants seem to fall apart. Even with a call ahead and a confirmed pick up time they still couldn't find my Rx after I waited 30 minutes. They also took someone ahead of me, which was rude. Unless you enjoy long wait times, poor service, and a disorganized staff, SKIP THIS LOCATION! I ended up leaving without my Rx and called them later from home to transfer it to another location...of course the assistant didn't help me. She tried talking me into driving back (apparently they found my Rx but I will not be going back there thank you very much!) I asked about six times for her to transfer my Rx. She continued to NOT do it and replied with "call that location" and "your Rx is ready here, why don't you come pick it up" - it was as if she wasn't listening or comprehending my request. Finally, (admittedly angry) I asked if she was incapable of handling the request or if she was able to but didn't want to, she put me on hold FOR ELEVEN MINUTES! The pharmacist picked up, heard me out and made things right -(UPDATE) Or so I thought. He said he transferred my Rx and even checked to make sure they had it stocked before hanging up. The next day I found out from the new location that not only did the Rx not come through but they didn't have it in stock. Goodbye Charleston/Torrey Pines location.
